"We were surprised how well equipped the cottage was and well kept."
Everything worked and the kitchen supplies - tea coffee biscuits cleaning products etc were most welcome. Our only 2 down points were due to our disabilities we found the dinning room furniture very heavy and a check out time of 10am put a lot of pressure on us. An extra hour would have made a great difference.
Thanks for your positive feedback Mr Turner. Being disabled myself I know it’s not always easy to get ready and vacate locations by the agreed time, so it’s something we will take on board and discuss with our housekeepers, to see if there’s anything that can be done. The furniture is of a robust/strong standard as it has to endure a lot of use throughout the year. Hopefully the minor down points didn’t detract from your overall stay and hope you’ll be back in the future. Property Owner

"Great location, well kept lodge although could do with a little TLC, ie cracks in wash basin in main bathroom and a few items of crockery had chips in them."
Overall we had a great holiday exploring the north Devon coast line.
Thanks for your comments Stephen. Issues we need to address when replenishing our items. Pleased you enjoyed your holiday. Property Owner

Really pleased to read your positive feedback on our lodge. Hope you’ll be back again. Property Owner

"This was a lovely lodge that needs some TLC, on arrival we noticed the bottom step to the lodge will give way very soon."
In side the lounge area the settees were badly stained, in the kitchen the tray in the oven were not clean and the grill tray was very rusted and the seal was broken, so we did not want to cook so ate out. Also in need of a new frying pan worn and disgusting, the main bathroom shower screen was damaged with the plastic seal split and come away which could hurt a child. Ending on the bed linen and towels they were clean but smelt very musky damp smell.
Obviously disappointed with your appraisal of our lodge as we’ve received nothing but good reviews about its condition this year. Our housekeeping partners are also very concerned and awaiting a report back from their housekeeper who looks after the lodge. Any findings will obviously be addressed. Thanks for your comments and trust these issues didn’t spoil your holiday. Property Owner

"Ocean view lodge was beautiful inside very clean and modern However the decking is in a poor state and needs attention We were very disappointed to find a very old picnic bench on the decking as a result of this we were unable to sit outside."
This would stop us booking this lodge again as we are outdoor people
Sorry to see your comments on the decking as we believed this had been addressed with new boards. Believe it needs re staining and this will be actioned. Very sorry to hear your comments on the breakfast bench and we are looking at upgrading our outside furniture. Pleased you enjoyed the lodge otherwise, including the cleanliness and hope the decking/bench issue didn’t detract from you enjoying your holiday. Property Owner

"Lovely lodge, well equipped and clean and very comfortable."
Had everything you needed and enjoyed staying there. However there were a number of things that I appreciate owner has no control over but needs to be aware. Kitchen overrun with ants when we got there so had to get a spray to kill them. The tv kept losing its WiFi signal and had to re tune a number of times to get picture back. We had no water for a few hours on Thursday due to work being carried out that we were not notified of. The site had also closed the dog walking park which was a bit of a blow as nowhere else to let our little dog run about. The noise level from road is also quite high. However none of this stopped us from having a lovely time.
Pleased to know, despite a few issues you enjoyed your stay and had a lovely time. It’s the first time we’ve come across an issue with ants and this should now be resolved by our handover team. Sometimes the weather can have an effect on the TV signal, but hopefully this didn’t last too long. Believe there is still an area to walk dogs, but for safety reasons they have to be on a lead. And unfortunately, we can’t do anything about the site’s close proximity to the road. Of course, this also means you are close to all local amenities. Pleased these minor issues did not detract from your stay and hope to welcome you back in the future. Thanks for staying at our lodge- Mark & Teresa Merrill Property Owner

"The accommodation was lovely, clean and welcoming."
It provided a good base for getting out and about in North Devon. The only thing we couldn't get used to was the traffic noise from the main road in the evening. Everything else was 5*.
Sorry to hear the traffic noise was an annoyance for you. Of course, there’s nothing we can do about this. It’s unfortunate, that due to the excellent location of the lodge/park, the issue of traffic noise is an unavoidable byproduct. Trust this didn’t spoil your visit too much and pleased you thought the rest of your stay was 5*. Hope you’ll be back in the future. Property Owner

"The lodge was perfect for our holiday to North Devon."
Great location on a quiet park and despite being close to the main road there was little noise from traffic. Ilfracombe and Woolacombe were close by. The lodge was huge, had everything we could have asked for, well appointed and well looked after. Spotlessly clean. The only thing that will need to be addressed soon is the decking, which is rotten in a few places, this does happen over time, but this will need to be repaired in places. That being said, it didn't really affect our stay and will happily be coming back to stay at this lodge!
Great to hear you’ll be revisiting our lodge at Mullacott, after having a perfect time in North Devon. It is a wonderful area for a holiday and pleased the lodge added to your enjoyment. We are aware of the situation with the decking and this is being addressed on the 5th April, but thanks for pointing it out. Thank you Mark Merrill Property Owner

"My Daughter, our dog and I, had a wonderful week here at Ocean Terrace 1 last week."
The property was extremely comfortable, well looked after, and spotless clean. The facilities within the cabin are excellent, and as we went in winter, the heating was brilliant, with only having it on low, it was soon nice and toasty! The owner very thoughtfully called me to say the property was ready earlier than anticipated and we could go sooner if we choose to, although I understand this wont always be possible. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone, and we will hopefully be going back again in the future. The property is also fantastically located to explore the whole area within minutes, and the pub on site is also great serving beautiful food and drink. 10/10!
Hi Kieran, Thanks so much for your kind words and really pleased you had a great time in North Devon. Good to know the lodge was warm enough for you, now the winter is setting in. Pleasing to know you’d consider returning to the area and you’d be more than welcome back at our lodge. Property Owner

"Had a lovely stay in this property."
This lodge is in a great location on a well maintained site with a fabulous bar and restaurant a short walk away. The lodge itself is very warm, cosy and comfortable. It’s well equipped and has a great kitchen with a decent size cooker and fridge. The two bathrooms were like the rest of the lodge very clean and tidy. There is a sea view and on a clear day you can see land on the other side of the channel. Would definitely book it again if we were going back to that area.
Many thanks for your positive comments Mrs Schwarz, we’re really pleased you enjoyed your stay at our lodge and you’re more than welcome back again, if you ever return to the area. Always encouraging to know visitors to the lodge/area, have similar views to ourselves. Property Owner

"Loge needs some up dating, toastier needs replacing for a bigger one, Dinning chairs are tatty."
There is no tv in bedroom you state there is one in you advertisement, And outside seating is not very comfortable . Dave and Sue Dury
Dear Dave & Sue Thanks for your review and sorry our lodge didn't live up to your expectations. It's the first negative feedback we've received, so your points need to addressed. We've arranged for a larger toaster and will be ordering covers for the dining chairs, despite them being described as chic. We have asked for the bedroom TV info to be removed, as this has been an oversight. The outside picnic bench is functional and durable but we will take your comments on board. Hope your experience didn't spoil your time in beautiful North Devon. Property Owner

It’s in a great location with views of the sea. It’s clean, spacious and comfortable. If we choose to come back to North Devon we would definitely book again.

"We had a lovely stay at Ocean Terrace."
The lodge is spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Beautiful views to enjoy from the decking, although more comfortable seating outside would be the only thing I would suggest that would have improved our stay, I could have sat out there all evening otherwise!! There is a pub at the entrance of the site that serves lovely food. The lodge was perfectly located for us to explore North Devon. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.
Thanks for your very positive feedback Sarah. Like my daughter stated, we feel the same about our lodge too. When the weather is good, it’s very difficult to find many better places to be. Lots to do also when it’s not so good! Outside furniture is difficult to get right and we are looking at ways to improve. Really pleased to see your thoughts and we’d welcome you back any time in the future. Property Owner
