"This cottage was perfectly placed for our requirements as retirees."
This site on Berry Head was clean, tidy and very well kept. For two of us there was sufficient space in the living area, although the television reception was very intermittent and at times non existent. The main bedroom with a double bed was rather cramped when opening the door, so we needed to use the second bedroom for luggage storage/dressing room. It was a quiet site with little passing traffic (beginning of July) and easy access to local towns and beaches. Our only disappointment was the pool and shop on site being in the process of demolition, which we had not been made aware of. Although we could have made use of the facilities at the Riviera Park nearby, this was not as short a walking distance as described and more easily accessed by car (down a narrow unlit lane). So we did not use the facilities at Riviera park. Overall, we were highly satisfied with the cottage and would readily stay there again.

Brixham is a working fishing harbour located on the southern side of Torbay, the area known as The English Riviera, famed for its sunny mild climate all year round. The focal point of the harbour is a life size replica of The Golden Hind, Sir Francis Drake’s ship. The prettiest part of Brixham has small cottages in hilly narrow winding lanes leading to the harbour where all the activity is centred. Home to Britain’s largest fishing fleet which regularly lands their catch in the harbour, Brixham fish market sells to major restaurants in the UK. Brixham is the ideal destination for a traditional holiday with many family attractions around Torbay including two Blue Flag beaches, Paignton Zoo and many regattas and maritime events throughout the year. There are a host of safe cycle trails in the area, the South West Coastal Path and some of the best golf courses in the region.
