"Another great stay at No 18."
A fantastic apartment with everything you need. Great communication from the property owners. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

"The apartment was well equipped and spotlessly clean."
It had an allocated parking space and we were met at the property by Steve who showed us everything and had got the cot and highchair ready as requested. We had a welcome pack which we were very grateful for and there were plenty of shops nearby, with Aldi being a 5 minute walk past the train station. There was a park just across the road for the children with a small play area, and just along the road was a small convenience store and an abundance of takeaways. We used the Royal China Takeaway a few times and the portions were very generous. The apartment was a great base to set out from, and we visited Torquay, Paignton, Exeter and Plymouth. The only downside for us was the traffic noise from the road outside. We had read this on previous reviews, and we are just not used to the levels there were where we live, but everything else made up for this minor negative. We would certainly consider this property again if visiting the area again in future and there was very good communication prior to us arriving and prior to departure. Steve even messaged us on the afternoon of arrival to say the property was ready a little earlier which we appreciated having had the children in the car for most of the day. Thanks for a lovely family break.

"We had a wonderful stay in Apartment 18."
It is modern, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable (especially the beds), and was very well equipped. We were on the road side of the property, so there was some traffic noise, especially when the windows are open, but this did not have an impact on us. Steve and Sally were helpful in every respect and they keep the apartment immaculate. I slept better than I had done in years! We would highly recommend this property.

"The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need to start your holiday, very clean and in a good location for travelling far and wide."
The hosts are readily available if needed, but not intrusive. Loved our stay in apartment 18, if we are in this area again will definitely stay here .

Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean & everything catered for. It was also very well positioned for the town centre & transport links. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here & would highly recommend.

"We cant complain about the apartment, its location and general condition really was excellent."
...However the big downside was the traffic noise. Such a shame!
-
"Modern well equipped holiday apartment, very comfortable."
Slight problem with road noise at night but closed bedroom window and opened lounge windows, problem solved. Weather superb the whole week, an outside area to relax with a drink would have been nice however this would not stop us rebooking in the future. Apartment is a credit to owners.

"The Apartment was brilliant , everything we had hoped for and exactly as described."
My wife and I had a lovely week visiting the surrounding areas and came back to a very comfortable apartment very everything with everything in the apartment we could have wished for. The owners met us on arrival which was excellent. We visited a number of the local restaurant s , all within walking distance which was wonderful. Overall highly recommended, we hope to visit again .

"It's a fabulous apartment, well prepared with every comfort and facilities provided."
We wanted for nothing. We have deducted one star from our overall stay since, unaccustomed as we are to any passing traffic and in spite of the double glazing, the relentless traffic noise during the night spoiled a peaceful and restful night. On this point alone we regret that a return visit would be impossible.
Thank you for your comments following your recent stay at Apartment 18. We do aim to provide everything to make your stay comfortable and having many returning guests shows us we are providing an excellent service, of which we are very proud. We are sorry that you do not feel able to consider a return visit. The apartment is located in the town centre which enables visitors to easily walk to the train station or bus stop if they don't wish to travel by car and is a quick level walk into town for the evening. A town centre location may not be suitable for every guest's needs. However, previous reviews and guest comments do show that the apartment is in an excellent location to enjoy the many attractions of South Devon. Property Owner

"A beautiful tastefully decorated apartment & spotlessly clean."
Great location for visiting all of the nearby holiday spots, whilst Newton Abbot itself is a charming town. A lovely apartment to come home to each day with every comfort catered for. The ensuite is a good size with a big shower unit. The bed was extremely comfortable. A lovely bountiful welcome pack had been left & the owners were very kind & helpful. Definitely a place to stay at again.
It was our pleasure having you stay with us and look forward to welcoming you again. Property Owner

"Apartment 18 is an ideal base to explore the Torbay area."
Convenient for supermarkets and places to eat. Although we didnt use the train the station very close by,had we stayed longer we would have tried the train. The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable and had everything we needed. It was also very clean and well maintained. Sally and Steve were great hosts and communicated well with us prior to our stay. Thankfully we didn't have any issues during our stay but felt reassured that Sally and Steve were on hand if needed. The welcome pack of friut and biscuits was much appreciated. We would gladly return again if in the area.
-
"We were delighted with the apartment."
The owners had furnished and equipped it perfectly and we were really pleased to be very near the station. We made very good use of this and only used our car once during our 7 day stay. I would also like to say that the owners made us feel very welcome when we arrived . We would certainly like to return again in the future.
Steve and I thank you for the lovely feedback, making your holiday perfect makes the effort worthwhile. We look forward to welcoming you again to our piece of South Devon. Property Owner

"Lovely modern and clean property."
Warm and comfortable and had everything we needed. Good to have a designated car parking space and very well situated for the train station. Great place to stay for easy access to the South Devon general area.
-
"Clean, functional , comfortable and convenient."

"Lovely, comfortable apartment in a very convenient location."
Extremely clean and beautifully furnished. Owners were very helpful and considerate. Would highly recommend.

"We were a party of four, all of us in our seventies and three of us having mobility issues."
We found the apartment very comfortable and extremely clean. It was very well equipped and there was just about everything you could possibly need. It was great having an allocated parking space considering we were so close to the centre of Newton Abbot. The location was excellent for the town and the railway station just across the road from the apartment. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming and the welcome pack was a nice touch. We were very unlucky in so much as the apartment was on the second floor and the lift had broken down the day before we arrived. With our mobility problems this was a bit of a pain. . . literally. However, we managed the stairs and it was clearly something our hosts had no control over. Sally met us at the check-in and helped with our luggage and Steve offered to help with the bags on our departure. They couldn't have done any more. The only other small issue was the traffic noise from the main road outside. Being on the main road we were unable to have any windows open as it was just too noisy. Having mentioned the two small issues we would quite happily return on a future break.

"Very comfortable apartment ideally placed for visiting the area."
We parked our car and used buses to Torquay , Teignmouth etc.. Met by owners who are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend (especially those with bus passes) . Hope to be back again soon.
It was a pleasure having you both stay, we look forward to seeing you again Property Owner

"Steve and Sally were great hosts with excellent communication leading up to our arrival then a lovely gesture of a welcome pack."
The apartment is spotlessly clean, very modern and a great location for exploring The English Riviera. Newton Abbot itself has a lot to offer and with the train station being directly across the road offers great connectivity for days out without the car. Would highly recommend !!
Thank you for your comments, its our pleasure to know that all the hard work we do makes your holiday enjoyable. We look forward to hopefully seeing you again. Property Owner

"The property was very modern, clean and had all the amenities you could need."
The owners spoke to us prior to arrival and gave us some suggestions of places to visit and restaurants to use. They also met us on arrival and had left us a lovely basket of fruit, biscuits, tea, coffee, sugar etc. Plus a card and Prosecco for our 25th wedding anniversary. This was extremely thoughtful of them. We all had a fantastic time in this property.
-
"The apartment is beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need."
Steve and Sally were lovely and left us a welcome package of fresh fruit, biscuits and milk. The building has a lift which made light work of our luggage. The car park was an absolute bonus, as we parked the car and only used it twice during our 7 night stay. There is a bus stop and train station right on the doorstep which made travelling around really easy. We purchased a day rider ticket (for £5 each) which gives you an unlimited days travel on the buses within the Torbay area. There are several large supermarkets close by, lots of pubs, restaurants, takeaways. We highly recommend Jacksons fishmongers for fish & chips (just a couple of minutes walk from the property) and also The Coombe Cellars at Combeinteignhead (beautiful riverside location) for Sunday lunch. The apartment does have double glazing but we did find there was still a little noise from the road traffic, but not excessive enough to be an issue. All in all a perfect stay and we would highly recommend this property to anyone.

"The hosts met us at the property and we’re very welcoming."
We were provided within some essential groceries (milk, tea, coffee, sugar and a fruit selection) and several eateries were recommended. The apartment was new, well furnished and very clean. I would definitely recommend this property for a stay in central Devon.

Sat within the kitchen is a extendable dining table, where you can spend your evenings together with a home-cooked treat, prepared with produce from the nearby local shops and markets on your doorstep.
Spend some time unwinding in the evening in the lounge area, where you can relax on two plush sofas settled around the 50" Smart television or sharing in family entertainment of board games or cards, perfect for a relaxing evening indoors when you’re not exploring the delights of the local area.
There are two charming bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and one with its own en-suite and the other having a shared bathroom adjacent to the room; each of these elegant rooms holds ample storage space and a soft spot to rest your head at the end of an action-packed day.
The location of the property is perfect for a wide range of attractions, positioned next to Courtenay Park, where you can enjoy a picnic with friends on a warm day, as well as making a great space for children to play.
