"Lovely view from the conservatory over a steep valley to the hills beyond."
Very quiet. Good position for exploring both north and south of Exmoor. Dunster and Minehead and the coast and Dulverton inland are equal distance away. Property had everything you need for a relaxing break.

The property
Higher Putham Barn is a detached property down a quiet lane with panoramic views over Exmoor.
It has a unique setting less than a mile from Wheddon Cross, the highest village on the moors and a focal point Dunkery Beacon is within walking distance. This holiday home sleeps two adults in a double bedroom but offers flexible sleeping arrangements with a sofa bed making it a perfect getaway for couples or friends.
Two well behaved dogs are welcome and the enclosed paddock next to the property makes it a perfect pet friendly holiday retreat. On arrival guests can park their cars on the drive next to their holiday home, enter into a useful porch, perfect for coats and wet gear, then head into the newly fitted kitchen with oven with gas hob, fridge with freezer compartment.
There is a shower room with toilet and sink, with steps that lead to the delightful living room with gas effect woodburning stove and sofa bed.
Stairs lead up to the double bedroom, ideal for catching your rest after a long day of exploring.
Welcome the outdoors in or watch for the red deer on the hills opposite, enjoy a nightcap even, laze inside the garden room and appreciate the fabulous uninterrupted countryside views or if the weather permits sit outside on the private patio and lap up the sun.
If you can tear yourselves away from this perfect holiday home you can take advantage of the wide array of local attractions settled between Somerset and Devon close to the coastline with a choice of pretty villages and National Trust properties as well as Dunster Castle, Dulverton, Lynton and Lynmouth and animal parks like Tropiquaria, the steam railway there is something to appeal to everyone. Higher Putham Barn is in a superb location to offer a wealth of attractions.

Wheddon Cross is a small village in the heart of Exmoor National Park, a thriving rural community with village shop, friendly pub and an all-weather court which is available for many sports including tennis, netball and basketball. Nearby is the picturesque village of Exford, situated in the heart of the Exmoor National Park. In a lovely setting by the River Exe, Exford boasts a village green, tea rooms, a shop, Post Office and two traditional inns serving excellent food and drinks. Exford is at the centre of a walkers' paradise with many miles of waymarked paths down the Exe and River Barle valleys and up to the nearby hills, including Dunkery Beacon, the highest point on Exmoor, with outstanding views over 17 counties. Exford is renowned for fishing and riding, with the village hosting a horse show every August. The largest herd of wild red deer in England and Exmoor’s unique wild ponies roam the moors just above and around Exford, as they have done since the time of the Domesday Book.
