"A lovely property, well equipped."
A lot of thought has gone into what to leave out for guest comfort and use
-
"Well appointed and very comfortable beds."
Very clean and plenty of kitchenware. Lovely place to stay, good walk into town and the walk back up hill is hard going. Will definitely be back next year.
-
"Lovely apartment, very clean and well laid out with great views up the estuary Flat is quite high up so renters need to be aware fine for heading down to Salcombe but a bit of a climb back up!"
Will certainly keep you fit
-
"Lovely modern and comfortable property with great views."
Highly recommended. People need to be aware of the very steep hill but this is of course an issue for much of Salcombe.
-
"Very clean, great views, would definitely stay again."
Overall fantastic. Only minor improvement points would be: - extra blankets would be nice as duvet quite thin and some windows don’t have a catch so can’t be left open at night - spare towels would be nice

"This was a fabulous property, we could not fault it in any way."
The bonus of having free, allocated parking was very useful. It is a long walk back up the hill, and if we were staying all week, we may have found this a bit tiring after a while, but the views are stunning and worth the climb! We would love to stay at this property again when we are back in Salcombe.

"We had a lovely stay here with are two young children and will definitely return!"
Very comfortable and cozy. Superb views across the estuary. The hill climbs won't be for everyone but they are worth it for the views!
-
"Lovely well equipped property in a quiet position."
View of the estuary from the lounge and balcony. Bit of a climb back up the hill after dinner each evening but worth it for the position.
-
"Very well presented holiday accommodation, well laid out, lots of storage and kitchen equipment."
We couldn't find instructions for the cooker hob - our only issue really. Having a choice of bathrooms was good too - the showers were great. Lovely view from the balcony and lounge area. Only a short slightly steep walk from the carpark - which is a must have in Salcombe. Whilst it is on the first floor, there are no steps/stairs, as you arrive on the right level from the carpark. Salcombe itself was busy, we also visited Kingsbridge and Plymouth. We recommend the hour long Estuary cruise with Whitestrand boat hire - you can book online beforehand. Also we went the Victoria Inn twice, again by booking online, as the eating places were busy.
Thank you for your valuable feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and will make sure that instructions for all the kitchen appliances are readily to hand in the guest information pack. Property Owner

"Probably the best provision of crockery, cutlery and glasses in any stay."
Usually there is never enough of anything and quality poor. Not in this case. Good parking, easy to get too and from Salcombe. Good location to drop down to the quay or to North Sands. A magic carpet ride back up the hill at the end of the day would be a great addition! The advantage of being at the top of the hill is the view and the quieter roads.

"We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful apartment."
It was so bright, comfortable and clean with everything provided. The views were amazing, especially the sunrise. Parking was great and it was very quiet. Compliments to the cleaning team. Everything was immaculate.

"Great holiday, apartment perfect with great views, very clean and well equipped."
-
"This was a lovely apartment : clean, comfortable and very well equipped (except for absence of a soft broom)."
The (double) bed mattress was superb as was the bed linnen. (Twin not used). Yes, it was a steep climb from town - but at least we were aware. It is about a 25 minute walk to town with the option of a semi woodland route as alternative to all road. The bus can assist with half of the route. The presence of the balcony made it a pleasure just to sit out, relax and soak up the beautiful view.

"Such a beautiful property, great location for us short walk into town, stunning views we will be visiting again in the future!"
-
"We really loved the cottage, everything was great."
Fantastic location. Super clean and newly decorated. Lovely views. Excellent kitchen. Good linen. Comfy beds. However there was one one significant issue - the people who live in the flat upstairs are incredibly noisy (running around, banging, washing mashing on at 11pm). This really needs to be sorted out as it would stop us from rebooking such an excellent apartment
We are very sorry, as well as quite surprised and disappointed, to hear that your time in our apartment was disrupted by noise from the rooms above. The owners of the flat above are ever so friendly, and are extremely considerate people. Ordinarily we hardly know when they are there. They do, however, let the flat out occasionally. Whilst noise has never been a concern in the past you were clearly very unlucky with whoever was staying there at the same time as you. We are extremely sorry and do apologise for the inconvenience that the noise must have caused for you. Property Owner

"Excellent flat, all home comforts"

"When we arrived in the dark the small white sign Melbury is too small and hard to find appartment."
-
"We had a wonderful holiday in a very comfortable flat."
Even when it rained we were happy to relax in the bright, airy accommodation. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and with sharp knives (not usual in self catering)! We slept well. The beds were so comfortable. We did have problems finding Melbury Flats. The sign was too low and overgrown.

"3 Melbury is a lovely well equipped and comfortable apartment."
-
"Fantastic apartment, beautifully updated with all you could need."
Please be aware of the very steep, lengthy walk back from town if you have any mobility issues. Otherwise this is a great place to spend a relaxing break.
-
"The apartment was beautiful, well furnished, clean and we were left a little gift of Prosecco, coffee and biscuits by the owners, which is a lovely touch."
We enjoyed it so much we have booked again for Regatta weeks next year. The only disappointment was the old couple downstairs who complained about ‘noise pollution’ when our children were walking across the sitting room floor. There was no undue noise, no shouting, no arguing, nothing other than normal day-to-day noise. This put a slight dampener on the last day, however the lady who rang from Sykes about the ‘complaint’ was lovely and understanding, putting our minds at rest. I get the impression that the old couple downstairs enjoy making the odd complaint here and there! Other than that, great apartment, fantastic views, reasonably priced and totally relaxing. Oddly, the long uphill walk back from town is great for winding down before bed after a day on the water, Beach, shopping or walking.

"The cleanliness was impeccable and it was a nice touch to leave tea bags, coffee (and Prosecco!"
) out on arrival. The standard of interior furnishings, quality of bed mattresses etc really made it feel like a superior experience.
