What guests are saying
The cottage was very comfortable and spacious.
We were a group of 10 (three generations) together with a dog and found the whole experience at Trentishoe Coombe very good indeed. Our host, David, was very approachable, friendly, and helpful. The property is ideally set in a beautiful valley within walking distance to the coast and there is a lovely hotel/pub just a short walk away where we enjoyed a lovely birthday celebration.
Lovely property celebrating with 5 friends, beautiful bedrooms and great location for walking and lovely pub serving food.
Only a couple of niggles we couldn’t use the hot tub until Sunday evening as temperature not set. A booklet with instructions would have been useful and the cottage was a bit chilly but it had been raining but we had a lovely weekend and the place was clean with a lovely kitchen definitely the place to go in a group for a chill out weekend
This cottage could be absolutely wonderful but unfortunately we had some issues.
The cottage Needs a proper deep clean the kitchen bin was filthy and had rat droppings at the bottom of it and had mould in the kitchen drawers and they need to replace items that are broken such as no door shelving in the fridge, broken garden furniture. Mouse droppings and dirty cloths in the cupboard in the utility room. The sideboard in the living room had board games and these were chewed from mice and had mice dropping as well. In the second main bedroom the bed had a fitted sheet on the bed that was too small and kept coming off which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. I had a lot of other concerns but these are the main ones. The cottage is up for sale so maybe they don’t want the spend money on it or pay to get a proper cleaning company in? Overall we were very disappointed and it wasn’t value for money. Sykes needs to do more checks on there properties
