"We had a lovely stay at Lavender Cottage in South Zeal."
The cottage itself is beautiful and bigger than we expected. The kitchen was really well equipped with everything that you would ever need, far better than anywhere else we've stayed. Great communication with the owners and they had very kindly left us a bottle of wine and some cookies. We will definitely be back.

"We stayed at Lavender cottage for a long weekend while visiting family in Oakhampton."
The house was beautiful with lovely furnishings making it very homely. It was in a lovely location and although there is no off road parking we always managed to get a space across the road. We stayed with a baby and although we moved a few things to be on the safe side the house was perfect. We hope to return again soon when visiting our family and will certainly recommend it to others.

"A wonderful cottage, well stocked with essentials, clean and cosy, with a lovely shop and local pubs nearby."
Beautiful surroundings and a idyllic, restful place to stay. The owners were very kind, helpful and had great communication. Highly recommended.

"Many thanks - perfect property and grateful to the owners for the flexibility in check-in time"

"A real home from home."
Very clean and comfortable property and a great location for exploring Dartmoor and the wider area. Well-equipped kitchen and a nice (but small) lawned area to the rear for that evening glass of wine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

"Lovely well appointed cottage."
We had a great stay.

"Really great cottage."
Lovely big rooms and a large well equipped kitchen. The door to the stairs was perfect to keep our small contained downstairs and lots of games available for the older 2. We arrived very late and it had snowed the day before but the cottage was warm and toasty. Looking forward to return visits.

"A beautiful comfortable stay for our family to enjoy Christmas together."
Perfect position in the village for walks and a welcoming public house next door.

"An excellent holiday cottage, comfortable, clean and very well equipped."
Central heating and a log burner in the lounge made it cosy in the cold weather. South Zeals is a lovely village and well placed to explore the area. This was our second visit to the property and hopefully will be back again.

"This was our second visit to Lavender Cottage."
It felt very welcoming, clean and comfortable. A home from home in a very pleasant village and we hope to return.

"We had a lovely stay in the cottage."
The size is deceptive as the lounge and main bedroom were very big. The kitchen is well equipped and the bottle of wine and cookies were a nice welcoming gesture. We didn’t use the log fire as the cottage heating kept the rooms at a nice temperature. It was good to have washer/dryer and dishwasher tablets as we didn’t bring any ourselves. The internet was good although the vlllage mobile signal is poor. The TV had prime and Netflix already configured so it was nice not to be stuck with Freeview. The village is quiet and the one pub/restaurant the Oxenham Arms was delightful. Lovely walks close by. We’ll definitely be booking again.

"Wonderful stay in an excellent cottage in the village."
Great area for walking.

"This is a lovely holiday cottage, comfortable and well equipped."
The owners have gone out of their way to ensure you have everything you need with some extra homely touches. The village of South Zeals is well placed on the edge of Dartmoor for some wonderful local walking and being close to the A30 it makes a good base for exploring Devon. Two good local pubs and a local shop on your doorstep. Would happily book this property again.

"Wonderful cottage, absolutely loved it!"
! the only thing maybe worth mentioning is the reduced head height in the shower (not actually a problem for me as I am very short but could be a problem for others) have already looked at prices in the Summer, really great cottage
Thank you for your feedback, we are pleased to hear you loved the cottage. Just to feedback on the head height in the shower. It is stated on the website that there is some restricted head height in the upstairs rooms which is in keeping with a cottage. The shower is new to the property and is a significant improvement over the previous handheld shower. The property owner is 6ft tall and manages the shower with a small head inclination so you would have to be very tall for it to be a major problem. Property Owner
