  • "We enjoyed our time at this apartment, however there were a few issues we would like to share ."

The lock on the door from the car park was stiff and someone snapped their key in it . The cental heating wouldn't come on one evening, after reporting it to the office who told us somebody might have turned something off by mistake. It was a very noisy week constant banging with work being carried out underneath us . It advertised a washer/dryer but only a washer was available. The sofa looked good but it has had its day, it was so uncomfortable. The shower could be updated and overall the apartment is very dated . The large patio windows were dirty and should really be cleaned if it's being let out . However the guy who met us there had done a good job on cleaning it . Thank you. Helen Vaughan.

  • "The word penthouse implies to many people a sense of luxury - the view from this property is certainly stunning & we enjoyed watching the ferries, yachts and boats."

It is also very spacious. It was great to have a secure space for parking under the building. Sadly, there were many negatives which did not meet our expectations for a penthouse. The patio doors were very hard to open & close and were not water tight. The sofa & chair are not at all comfortable; very low & difficult to get up from. The dining chairs are too low for the table. The kitchen is very compact & there’s no storage space for items not belonging in the fridge like bread, tins etc. The shower, being electric, is feeble & inconsistent in temperature. The shower head kept falling off the holder. There was not enough hot water for a bath. The building itself and the surrounding ‘block’ are very run down. There is still scaffolding but there were not any workmen all week. The hallway on our floor had a hole in the ceiling & a rotten windowsill and skirting board. Many issues are down to a maintenance company or companies, however, the penthouse really needs a lot of TLC to be fantastic.

  • "We loved the position of the apartment and found it warm and comfortable."

Hot water was plentiful throughout the day. The beds were comfortable and the linen beautifully clean. We would have liked to see hooks in the bathrooms to hang clothes on, I could not use the bath as I need a grab rail - A shower attachment would have been helpful. In the ensuite shower room a handrail and a shower mat would have improved the safety. Most of the chairs were very low down and we needed cushions to sit at the table. We were a party of three and although we enjoyed sitting on the balcony, there wasn’t really room for more than two people and we would have liked a couple of sun loungers for a bit of relaxing luxury as it was mostly warm & sunny. Thank you for letting use your lovely apartment.

  • "We were greeted by property management and made feel welcomed."

The property is well supplied and have nice views and we enjoyed watching ferry arrivals. Appartmet is comfortable but It can get hot in sunny days so closing blinds when going out was essential to keep it cooler. If using public transport buses not very frequent and was cheaper to get taxi for the family rather than changing two buses accrooss town. The advantage close proximity to ferry to Cremyl and must visit.

  • "There were extensive works being carried out to the exterior of the property of which we had no prior warming."

The flat suffered from bad drain smells mostly from the ensuite. The fans provided had little effect on the heat from the rest of the building. The bed and furniture were comfortable and the TV was great. Loved the balcony and the view but the kitchen was extremely compact.

  • "Wonderful accommodation with breathtaking views over Plymouth Sound and within easy walking distance (about 29 minutes) of Plymouth Hoe, city centre and King William Dock."

The car parking is underground in a safe and secure environment accessed via a lift. The only issue we had concerned the ensuite toilet flush, but this was quickly fixed following a call to Pure South Brent Housekeeping, the property managers. We had a wonderful time and highly recommended this accommodation.

  • "A lovely apartment and the view makes it a wonderful place to stay."

Could you please provide a hook on the back of the bathroom doors - there was nowhere to hang our toilet bags.

  • "We stayed in the apartment for a week in June and had a really lovely holiday, we had nice weather, which made the apartment so hot as there is a lot of glass on the front of the building, even with the doors open and a breeze coming through we couldn't cool the rooms down enough to sleep well."

We did however love the homely touches, tea coffee, milk and biscuits set out for us on arrival and loved the fleecy throws to put round you when sitting on the balcony in the evening. We loved watching the boats come and go, the ferry arrives at least once a day and we were lucky enough to see 2 naval frigates moor up in the bay.

  • "A well furnished, spacious and modern apartment with some catches."

The full height windows offer great views but trapped the heat of the June sun inside - the fans provided help but it still takes a while to cool the bedrooms. The location is convenient for the Cremyll ferry and Mount Edgecumbe but less so for the Sutton harbour area or the train station when on foot. Despite the proximity of the ferry terminal, the outside noise generally does not intrude even with the windows open but there is the occasional smell. A pleasant place to stay with some minor imperfections that may not matter to some.

  • "Great place for spectacular views across the harbour and watching the ferries in and out."

Walking distance from shops, restaurants, cinemas makes it a perfect location. Apartment spacious - very light, but hot when sun shining in. Imagine summer months would need all windows/doors open as glass all round but there are some fans provided. We caught Storm Norman so wind and rain interspersed with some sun. Lovely apartment but some things overlooked - reed diffusers there but empty, clean but dust on ledges, carpet edges and mirrors, no fan in en-suite, no instructions to turn shower on (pull long cord behind door), broken catch on second bedroom window. Sounds like an episode of 'Four in a bed' (being picky) but it didn't spoil the enjoyment of our stay as the apartment as a whole, location, views and underground parking space made it a perfect place to stay to explore Plymouth and surrounding areas.

  • "Fabulous apartment with large and light filled rooms and great views of the sea, marina, city and surrounding moorland."

So near to everything: the railway station, the ferry across to Mount ,Edgecombe, the Hoe, Barbican, aquarium, restaurants and cafes, shopping and night life. Beds comfortable, kitchen well equipped, modern bathrooms. Extractor fan in bathroom was not working and there was a smell first thing in the morning. We were lucky to have booked out of season, as we couldn’t afford the summer prices, but very good value in early February.

  • "Both couples have enjoyed a most wonderful week."

The Apartment was very comfortable and stunning views across the Quay. Plenty of walks to the Barbican area with eating places especially the Fisherman's Arms very good Sunday lunch. National Trust House's not to far away. Only one inconvenience was NO hot water in the family Bath and cool water in the Shower. Rest of taps with hot water was fine. Overall it was a brilliant week and lucky with the weather. Thank you from the Thompsons and Clarks.

  • "For 2 people- this apartment was almost perfect and was exactly as described."

A party of 4 may be unsettled by only ONE shower(and in the master bedroom!); perhaps resolved by placing an over bath shower?. We enjoyed washing and wiping dishes but the lack of a dishwasher may be a pain for 4 people. By observing the owners suggested precautions about wind and windows we enjoyed the heavier winds but two window locks were loose and the Westerly facing frame appears warped(?). Outside the apartment and not the owners responsibility - flood water into the emergency exit staircase has put the lighting out of action. Finally our 2 weeks were greatly enhanced by the people of Plymouth ( This includes the staff at PURE management services, especially Paul) Thank You. Tony
