  • "We had a fabulous time at Bay View and hopefully will return in the future."

The layout suited us perfectly, it was as if we each had our own wing! The dog loved the garden and the proximity to lovely walks. The bonus was the parking space and the friendly landlord!

  • "We had a great stay."

The view is amazing from the flat. Being able to have a fire was a huge addition. However there is a musty smell in the living room and some of the apartment need an update. Not sure if we’ll stay here again.

As an owner, we aim and hope to please our valued guests and are glad you had a great stay. Some of the comments do present an unfair reflection of this recently refreshed and airy seaside apartment which is well in line with its QA grading and very reasonably priced. We are not aware of a musty smell which has never been mentioned by previous guests. Going forward we will monitor this. Property Owner

  • "We have had a lovely few days at Bay View."

It’s a good clean, comfortable base close to the seafront and shops. There is a steep hill to walk back to the flat. Most rooms have a sea view. The living room and conservatory are spacious, the kitchen was well equipped although the shelves in the oven didn’t fit so we’re unusable. The main bedroom is compact along with the en-suite and drawer space is lacking. The twin bedroom upstairs did have drawers as well as hanging space and there was a bigger sized bathroom. Having a parking space is a real bonus. The owner kindly left a cream tea for our arrival which was very thoughtful.

  • "Just come back from a lovely stay in Lyme Regis this property is in a great location with a parking space literally 5 mins walk and you are in the town."

When we arrived there was a delicious food hamper with bread butter jam cheese crackers eggs wine, milk this was such a lovely touch after travelling 7 hours was much appreciated. On the whole this house is comfortable my only feedback would be the ensuite could do with an upgrade and the beds would benefit from a new mattress and bedding.

  • "Bay View is a really pleasant apartment; cosy but very light and airy!"

Things we loved: the views of the cliffs and bay (from the comfort of the sofa!), the garden (Bonnie the dog enjoyed it), the conservatory (great extra space), the parking spot and the close proximity to the town and seafront. Would definitely like to come back!

  • "We enjoyed our stay and we could have breakfast outside almost every morning which were great."

For us the property served our purpose well as we were there to compete the worlds in Ok dinghy. Just a short walk down to the club. If we were to wish for something it would be to add some shelfes in the cupboard in the master bedroom for clothes. Thanks for a great stay!

  • "The property is lovely and I would definitely stay there again."

It has great views and a parking space next to the house - invaluable in Lyme. The property is accessed via a pathway and decking. There are notices all over the decking warning it can be slippery. Unfortunately my Dad did slip on the decking and was taken to hospital for a dislocated shoulder and a head injury. I think the listing should warn this property may not be suitable for elderly or less mobile people.

The owner is very sorry to hear about the accident, and trusts your Dad has made a full recovery. It's worth pointing out that alternative access is available to the apartment via a concrete path through one of the garden gates, thereby avoiding any decking. Overall, we feel that access to the apartment is suitable for all age groups and most mobility levels. Property Owner

  • "The property was clean and comfortable."

Unfortunately the heating was not working properly and we were cold in the evenings. The first night was undisturbed but then people moved into the flat above and we experienced an awful amount of noise. The property is marketed as a cottage and not a flat which heavily influenced my choice. I think you should be honest with people and manage expectations better.

  • "The photos of the property are very misleading everything is much smaller!"

Both bathrooms have very limited space and facilities. There is no shelf in the downstairs bathroom no where to do make up etc. upstairs bathroom needs some TLC and could easily be upgraded. The whole property could be easily modernised and made more spacious. Location, and garden were excellent tho parking space is very tight.

Thank you for your comments. We are currently looking to install a shelf in the downstairs bathroom, and we appreciate the need for this. Both bathrooms do contain all the facilities that you would expect to find in a bathroom. i.e. wash basin, toilet, bath and/or shower. With regards to the parking space, this is of standard width, i.e. 2.5m, as found in most car parks. Property Owner
