  • "We felt very comfortable at the Little West Hill Studio."

    We found there a modern, cosy ambiance with selected living design. It was brilliant to open your eyes in the morning and look directly at the open sea. The host was extremely friendly and gave us great insider tips. We can warmly recommend this apartment to everyone. It couldn't have been better for us. And everyone who spends holidays there will find that it is even more beautiful there, as described here. Many thanks to the host!

  • "Overall this is a lovely place to stay."

    A good space with a great little kitchen allowing simple cooking. We ended up using the sofa bed as the bed on the mezzanine was a little to hard for us. The location is ideal, providing a short walk to town and easy access out of town by car for further afield trips. The view and overall ambience of the property is delightful. We did get a little confused with some of the communication and instructions from the host. First of all in the listing it states to ask if you need both beds making up, as we didn't we didn't ask but this means when you arrive no beds are made up. Secondly the parking states park in the bay on the left. When we arrived the bay to the immediate left had a car in it and a sign on the bay states the parking is for the Both. We ended up parking by the garage door as the only space available. Both these things together made us worried we weren't expected by the host and they then didn't answer their phone when we called them! The following day when we returned from a trip we parked in the same place only to be visited by the host asking us to move and park in the left bay marked as both parking. All this wouldn't have been and issue but when the instructions say one thing and no update is given in the form of perhaps a note in the property it is frustrating. The last quibble we have is something pointed out by a previous visitor is there is functionally no WIFI at the property. The router indicated by the owners either isn't findable or only has one bar and no consistent signal both my partner and I tried to join it but we're never able to use the internet. As the property is advertised as having WIFI and the signal in the area is not brilliant this was another frustration.

    Thank you for your review and we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We are sorry to read that you had some issues during your stay which has certainly been noted. When you rang , I did answer my phone, furthermore I closed my shop in town immediately to attend to you. The confusion re bedlinen arose because the booking was for one person, but you showed up with your sister. I immediately furnished you with extra bedding and towels. We do ask guests that if they wish to use the sofa bed to make us aware prior to booking so we can ensure that there is linen ready for you. We have it confirmed that parking is outside the garage and we have amended the travel details to avoid any further confusion. We can confirm that there is WiFi in the property, we have upgraded it , it now has its own WiFi. We are almost always on site and we would rather be told immediately if there is anything that needs attention so we can remedy it and no part of your stay is spoiled. Property Owner

  • "The property is lovely."

    Decorated beautifully and presented really well. The fact you can see the sea is a real bonus and the view across the garden is lovely. The location is fab. A quick walk to town/beach (with a slightly slower one back home due to the hill) but that is Lyme Regis for you. The owners were helpful and there if you need them but they understood privacy. The only gripe I have and it isn't the end of the world, is the advert says WiFi but there isn't. Neither of us could connect on to the WiFi so shockingly I read a book. So one might say it was a good thing. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you ☺️

    Very much enjoyed staying here and it was nice to have the balcony and sea view. We had binoculars with us so got some good glimpses of Portland and Portland Bill when the weather allowed! Check in and out was smooth and efficient. All in all a positive experience!

Enjoying a tranquil setting within a short walk of Lyme Regis in the heart of Dorset, is this architect-designed mezzanine studio apartment, Little West Hill Studio.

Ideal for a couple or a small family with older children, the studio offers quirky accommodation in a great location.

The open-plan living space feels spacious, light and airy with traditional wood panelling on the walls, attractive exposed ceiling beams, a delightful sitting area and a feature woodburning-effect stove.

Fantastic French doors opening onto the terrace and boasting far reaching sea views are the icing on the cake of this beautiful space and you can imagine spending many happy hours both inside the apartment and outside on the terrace soaking up the views and the sunshine!

The small kitchen has everything needed to be able to produce delicious food for your holiday party to enjoy in the stylish dining area where you can pull up a chair, enjoy a meal and while taking in those gorgeous views.

A stylish wet room completes the accommodation and after a refreshing night’s sleep is the perfect place for an invigorating shower before taking breakfast on the terrace as you plan your day’s activities.

Lyme Regis is a short but scenic walk which has a good selection of independent shops, galleries, pubs, tearooms and restaurants as well as a fantastic beach and the famous Cobb harbour.

Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium and Lyme Regis Museum are well worth a visit too.

Pack a picnic and head for the beach anywhere along the Jurassic Coastline and you’ll be able to enjoy some fossil hunting at places such as West Bay and Charmouth.

Attractions to visit include Tunnel Tree Tops, Axminster Heritage Centre, Forde Abbey and Gardens, Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary and Seaton Tramway.
