"A lovely property in an unsurpassed location."
However I would like to draw your attention to the following: - there is no shelf in the bathroom, either above the basin or in the shower. So, nowhere to put toothbrushes, toothpaste, soaps, shaving equipment, shower gels etc. We had to resort to brushing teeth in the kitchen! Hardly appropriate in a property rated as outstanding. We see from the guest book that this issue has been regularly raised by guests over a number of years. With the use of IKEA, which has been the source of other items in the flat, this could be remedied at little expense. - the instructions for turning off the fire alarm if accidentally triggered are completely out of date and therefore inaccurate. For instance the control box has apparently been moved. Up to date instructions should be provided. - lastly, a small but irritating issue, only 4 teaspoons are provided in a flat which sleeps 4!

"Very nice second stay."
Location is perfect and the flat is well equipped. Plenty of room for a travel cot so not sure why it says there isn’t on the website. Just a few things that need addressing: - Kitchen tap kept dripping - Shower was very hot and we couldn’t seem to turn the tap enough to make it colder. - windows could do with a clean - a shelf in the bathroom would help to store toothbrushes etc

"The glory of this flat is the view and the window seat which make the high price worth paying."
The seating is comfortable (although the window seat could do with a long cushion), the kitchen well equipped and the location fantastic. However, the place cries out for more storage aids. The coat hooks were hanging off the wall and unusable and the loo seat was the only surface on which to put toiletries when using the minute basin. A shelf above the basin would make a big difference. Some of the crockery was grubby when we arrived - dried coffee drips and rings on three of the mugs, dried food on two plates and crusty cutlery. It looked as though guests had put them away after a hasty hand rinse and they hadn't been checked by housekeeping. There were crumbs from previous guests on the window seat and the windows were smeared with bird droppings.
Hi Anna, I was quite unhappy about the way you found our flat, huge apologies! I've been in contact with the cleaners (or at least, with Lyme Bay Holidays who organise them) and will follow it up again as the next two guests had similar problems. Not good. We're putting in a glass shelf in the bathroom, and hopefully the coat hooks are repaired by now. I'm pleased you enjoy Lovely Lyme from our flat: I always feel better when I arrive :) Property Owner

"Comfortable flat with lovely view."
Bathroom is small as other reviews mention but perfectly functionable. Nice touch to leave tea, mild, biscuits etc Would book again.

"We had a really lovely stay in this apartment."
It is a great location, with wonderful views from the window seat. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The sofas were so comfy to sit on and the mattress was nice and firm. We were worried the noise from the restaurant below would be loud however it wasn’t and we needn’t have worried. The restaurant also closes at a sensible time. We will 100% look to stay here again. My two comments for improvement relate to the bathroom. 1) It would be really nice to have some small shelves in the shower as it was a bit of a pain having the shower gel, soap etc on the floor. Similarity a small shelf for toothbrushes would have been helpful (we had to keep them in the lounge). 2) there was a slightly unpleasant smell from the bathroom and we could not work out what it was from. However by the end of the week we worked out it was likely from the toilet brush. So this probably needs to be replaced and/or cleaned. Overall we are very happy with our stay and looking forward to rebooking!
Thank you for your comments. We are so pleased that you had an enjoyable holiday at the apartment. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

"We thought the apartment was very well thought out and well equipped."
Lovely location and window seat was great. Bathroom was too small and really needs somewhere other than by the toilet for a toothbrush , soap etc A lot of noise from the apartment above which disturbed sleep
The views are spectacular aren't they! The apartment is on the first floor, in a building on the sea front, and has a mixture of holiday let and residential use. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

"Impossible to control the temperature in the shower."
Vertical pole not fixed securely at base and fell off. The extractor fan did not work.
Thank you for your feedback we will organise for our maintenance team to take a look at the issues raised. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

"Stunning views."
A compact apartment with everything you need. The large bay window opening up to the beautiful view is the whole reason to stay…it’s stunning! Comfortable beds, good kitchen, bathroom small but fine (couldn’t figure out temperature change on shower) You’re right on the prom so it’s easy to pop back when you need to - loved our stay!
Thank you Lyndsey for your enthusiasm! I'm very glad you enjoyed your time in Lovely Lyme :). Come again! Property Owner

"Great flat with stunning view of Lyme Bay."
Comfortable and well laid out. Close to everything important .. the cobb, pubs and restaurants, the beach, ice cream and fish and chips. Shower cubicle might be problem for someone overweight.

"Relaxing vibe in apartment nice pale colours."
Love the window seat amazing view enjoyed listening to sea roll over the pebbles. Comfortable beds although we’d prefer a king size bed. Nice dressing table and choice of mirrors around and lots of storage for clothes. The bathroom is very small just a shower but that’s what we expected and managed ok for 3 of us, the only issue was it needs a little shelf with a cup for toothbrushes.. Nice kitchen with everything you need and we appreciated the milk on arrival and a super welcome bag! As it was February we had a couple of very cold days and we did find the heating kept turning off after an hour. Overall we had a lovely stay in this cute apartment in a great location.
We're delighted that you had a lovely time and enjoyed your stay in the apartment. We have asked our Maintenance Team to check the timings for the heating to ensure it is set correctly. Property Owner

"Very comfortable."
We had stayed there once before so knew it. The view over the sea was lovely , no storms this year just sparkling ripples on the sea’s surface. Unusually day after day of sunshine. There is a tiny crack in the LHS of the basin in the bathroom. Not sure if the owner is aware of it. Also bulb in ceiling above the front door needs replacing. Not sure who is responsible for that . Maybe the flats’ management company. Not sure why previous tenant complained about sofas , they are fine. The shower was wonderfully warm and powerful. It is a very cosy apartment.
Thank you Anne for your kind and helpful feedback. The sink is about to be replaced, and we'll deal will the dud lightbulb! Property Owner

"Generally fine."
Very clean, Excellant location. The settees are starting to sag and could do with replacing. The extractor fan in the Bathroom was not working and the shower needs needs some attention. The temperature control does not work well. There was no documentation about the Central Heating or any of the appliances. We managed to work them out in the end.

"We always love staying in Sea Fever and are repeat visitors."
It’s just the most beautiful place to stay and the window seat is my favourite spot! Sitting there with a book makes everything feel alright. Thanks for letting it so we can stay there.
Thank you Elizabeth. It's very good to hear from people who love Sea Fever and Lyme. That's what we feel like too! Best wishes from Alison and Joe Property Owner

"Love this place - would love to buy it."

"Compact flat, description was accurate and beds the most comfortable we have ever had in a holiday home."
Amazing views of the sea. Looking a bit tired around the edges - a lick of paint especially in the bathroom is required and the cleaning wasn’t quite up to the usual Lyme Bay standard. We had a fire alarm test and a further visit to change the fire alarm batteries - we felt this could have been carried out in the changeover times. A 5pm entry is quite late especially when travelling with children.

"Absolutely beautiful apartment on Lyme Regis Promenade."
Light, airy & uplifting. The Views are stunning. Thank you. Just for the owner (Maybe a small nest of coffee tables would be helpful)
