  • "Fabulous property and location."

Ideal for walking our 10 month old Labrador, with the adjoining paddock which was great for early morning and last thing leg stretches. The cows in the adjoining field were totally uninterested in dogs. Large flat screen TV had all the additional add ons which was great as we don’t watch standard TV anymore. Did have a minor problem as the TV stopped working on the last night. Decided it was probably a fuse and tapped on next door neighbour to, who happened to be the owners. They very promptly came round and sorted the problem. Our lasting memory will be the Crown Inn, which was walking distance from the property. It was like stepping back in time 30 years!! Untouched for probably a century! Lovely honest home made cooking served from 12 noon until 3pm. At 5pm we would call for a swift half of Cider and collect some delicious baps for our tea. The locals really make you feel at home and very welcome! Despite being October, we were very fortunate with the weather! People eating out for the first 5 days and still in shorts! Will definitely return! Jacqueline

  • "We had a lovely week at the Stables, a great place to stay, well equipped, comfortable and very peaceful."

Plenty of nice walks for dog owners, two pubs just over the road serving good food... Great area for days out close to Weston-Super-Mare, Burnham on sea, Cheddar Gorge and much more.

We are very glad you enjoyed your stay, thank you for the positive review and tips for future guests, Maxine & Neil Property Owner

Idylic location and perfect accomodation. Impeccably clean throughout. So peaceful and tranquil. Great location with two pubs in walking distance. • "We had a fabulous time enjoyed every minute!"

Should have mentioned to you the slow drain of shower over bath, slip mat did slip when Mark first got in shower , visitors should make sure it is really stuck to the bath !! Bedroom was little dusty (didn’t bother us but some people may moan about it) ! Beds very very comfortable. Maxine, you are lovely and so friendly !! wish I lived nearer as I felt we could be good friends!! You can publish the good feedback - as other bits are for the owners info only and we should have mentioned it when we were there - not a complaint just constructive info. Helen Jean Wood

  • "The cottage is lovely and well equipped."

The area has plenty to do and lots of places to visit. As a retired couple with a dog it was important that it was dog friendly and there are lots of cafes and pubs in the area that welcomed us. Some even had doggy dinners which made life much easier for us and our miniature schnauser. However, a note of caution not all places are still in business (such as Churchill's shop and tea rooms) and some have very limited hours of business (such as the nearby chip shop). Unfortunately, this can usually only be established by actually visiting these places and not by relying on the internet. That aside we had a brilliant week and would definitely return.

  • "A Lovely clean, well equipped, internally modern cottage whilst feeling traditional."

We really enjoyed our week long stay with our 5 year old daughter. Our daughter also loved the play area, and went on it several times each day. As well she really enjoyed the shared toys provided. Thank you to the owners for being very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay again

We are very glad you enjoyed your stay with us and thank you for the warm review, we look forward to welcoming you back in the future, Maxine & Neil Property Owner

  • "Wonderful place and owners we have no hesitation in giving this 5 stars."

Beautifully furnished, amazing shower, really comfortable beds, everything you need is here. We went with a friend and our dog who is very nervous being rescued from a puppy factory and she ran around the field directly accessible from the property, her first time outside and free. We just relaxed at the property but lots to do nearby if you want but we were happy to just enjoy the peace and comfort of The Stables.

  • "The Stables was amazing, every amenity, high quality fittings and furnishings and the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in."

If I had to be ultra picky I’d want blinds and the entrance door and windows… Lovely warm and friendly hosts and would definitely return if ever in the area.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

The stables were very comfortable. Maybe some written instructions for guests to follow would be beneficial. As I didn’t read the email about stripping the beds till we got home. Seeing a female deer made our stay even more magical. We love star gazing & it was a perfect spot too. There were ample pubs with good food within walking distance. Will recommend & will be staying again. Thank you
