Great that you had a baby chair and that we could use your travel cot, and thank you for the cookies and milk! Hope to stay here again in the future!

  • "Really nice property."

Shame it rained non stop but that’s the UK. Would have bought some board games looking back. Area was great for views and dog walking and two local pubs had great food. Recommend and probably go back nearer to Summer.

  • "A very peaceful cottage in a very rural area."

Nothing but the sounds of owls at night! A great spot for walking and cycling along the narrow country lane The cottage is very well equipped and I cooked every day without any issues. Just 10 mins walk from the original "River Cottage" too! Highly recommended!

  • "Delightful cottage equipped to a high standard that made for a very comfortable and relaxing stay for us humans and our canine companion."

Clare, the property owner, was welcoming and very helpful when we arrived. The information folder provided was comprehensive and very useful. Also a welcome pack of tea, milk and biscuits that was much appreciated. The location of the cottage was peaceful, private and surrounded by beautiful Dorset countryside. Plenty of scope for dog walking in the area plus a pleasant woodland walk right on the doorstep.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at Vine Cottage."

The locals were very welcoming, especially at the Hare and Hounds - great food and atmosphere. The cottage was homely and well equipped in a nice rural relaxing setting. The only down side was lack of garden fencing as we took two wire dachshunds - one spent his time sitting by the cottage owner’s car waiting to be taken home whilst the other was desperate to track rabbits. We knew about the lack of fencing before we booked but it was the only thing that would have made the holiday more relaxing if you are planning to take dachshunds with you.

  • "Lovely cottage with everything we needed for a week away in Dorset."

Cottage was very clean and comfortable and in a great location for us to explore Dorset and the Jurassic coast. The cottage is well equipped with plenty of cooking equipment and utensils if you decide to eat in and had lovely touches such as towels for the beach or dog which came in handy. A great guide full of information provided by the owner. The only thing which could have made it better is for the garden to be fenced off slightly so the dog could run around but we knew by the listing this was the case. A great stay in a lovely part of the country. We are hoping to return.
