"The cottage is in a fabulous location and very well equipped."
The tudor house opposite is a must to visit as is Thomas Hardy's birth place Lots of local pubs and restaurants to visit. Only draw back is that parking costs roughly an extra £10 a day. There was no permit parking available

"Beautiful cottage although stairs are very steep and this should be in a disciption, and pointed out."
Socket in 1st floor bedroom needs some attention as loose. Also bed very low and quite hard in here. We didn't cook as being a holiday we ate out daily even breakfast. Great cafe nearby and pubs even a shop. History right outside the window. Unfortunately work going on next door come weekday The sound of banging was relentless not the owners fault I know, but again should reflect in price at time and they should monitor and point out. Overall would recommend if more agile i.e stairs.

"We had a lovely two weeks at Harbour Retreat."
Nice property. Parking in Weymouth is always difficult. SAFETY NOTES: 1.If there's a need for a fire extinguisher it should not be hidden away in a cupboard. 2. A fire blanket is provided, but it should be fixed to a wall otherwise it's difficult to deploy.
We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your two week stay in our Harbour Retreat cottage. Thank you for raising a point on safety, the fire equipment location was chosen by and installed by our independent fire safety contractor. We shall make a note of your comments and consult them on whether there is a more suitable location on the next inspection date. Property Owner
