10 Customer Reviews

  • "As four friends visiting Dorset we were delighted with the peaceful location and the house."

It was pristine and had 3 lovely bathrooms and only 2 minutes from the pub and a pleasant 10 minute walk to Lulworth Cove. Ideal! All was well until we needed to open bedroom windows. None of which would open so consequently we had an uncomfortable first night as it was so warm. Also the patio doors would not lock. The phone number given did not allow options for reporting an issue ( why not?) so I emailed the next morning.I was contacted half an hour later and the helpful property manager said he would visit the property which he did. Apparently,he contacted us during the day but neither my friend or I received a voice mail or message so on returning I emailed again as apart from the patio doors the other windows still would not open. The manager phoned and told me how to unhook “the safety catch” which worked so a comfortable night! On the last day after shutting the windows for security they would not open again so another hot and frustrating night as it was too late to email again. The windows that had keys would not open either. I.e. in the top bedroom and the twin room. I hope that this issue is solved for the next guests as it was just ridiculous. On another note, we met the lovely cleaner on the way out and she commented that we should have had a welcome pack?? Is that so as I am not aware we were asked to request one if required. 13.5 tog duvets are not suitable for the summer months and when stripping the beds we noticed there was only a sheet on top of the mattress in the 1st floor double room. Not very hygienic! Due to these issues I cannot give the property 5 stars that it really deserves.

  • "A lovely immaculate property situated very conveniently for all the must-see attractions (car needed for most of them)."

Good food provided by great pub within walking distance from the cottage. Lovely quiet location with walks at the back of the property (steep walk) with an enclosed garden in a sunny spot. We'd definitely stay there again.

  • "The house was lovely - bigger than we expected - bright, clean and very comfortable."

It was cold though until the morning we were leaving and we could not adjust the temperature downstairs. Another couple of throws would have been beneficial. Overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend.

So pleased you enjoyed the house. Next time please let Dream Cottages know if you have any issues, they would definitely have helped with the heating. Hope to welcome you back to beautiful Lulworth Cove soon. Property Owner

  • "We rerally enjoyed the break at Waterston Cottage, directions and entry information all spot on."

There was a lot a post / junk mail behind the door when we arived, not sure how long this had been there. Other than this th e property was loverly and clean, and all as per the listing, with fantaistic view over the field with lots of spring lamps. This is a great location less 5 mins walk to the local pub which was very welcoming, 10 minutes to local shop, 15 minutes to Lulworth cove. We could have done with some more specific heating control information albeit manage to sort out the ground floor heating, but could not get the upperfloors to work off the timed control, had to use the hold function.

Thank you for your review and I'm so pelased you enjoyed the house and its wonderful location in beautiful Lulworth Cove. The Castle Inn pub is a local favourite :) Dream Cottages are always happy to help if you have any issues, so please let them know. Hope to welcome you back soon Property Owner

  • "Fantastic property in a great location we really enjoyed our stay."

Couple of minor things that would help guests enjoy their stay even more would be 1) a couple of coffee cups that fit the coffee machine 2) some reusable plastics (cups, plates and tupperwares) that could be taken down to the beach 3) a washing line to dry off wetsuits etc. These are minor things as the property really was fantastic, one of the best we’ve stayed at.

Thank you so much for being our first guests and really appreciate your suggestions which I will get sorted. So pleased you enjoyed your stay in beautiful Lulwoth Cove. Property Owner

About the location

WEST LULWORTH

Wareham 9.1 miles; Weymouth 14.7 miles

West Lulworth boasts some of the most dramatic geological features on the Jurassic coastline and arguably the most photographed locations in the UK. Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door sit at the heart of this area and really are a must see. Lulworth Cove has many little café’s and beachside shacks serving local seafood, ice cream and other delights, as well as several restaurants and pubs from which to choose. There is an Lulworth estate information centre which offers an insight into how the cove and Durdle door were formed and Jurassic history of the region. If you tire of Cove and cliff top walks then Lulworth Castle is a short drive away and offers another glimpse at some more recent history, along with Tyneham Village, and Corfe Castle. This is a really special area and the village retains a lot of it’s thatched cottages and has a real air of a rural retreat.

Please call owner if guests would like to bring more than one dog. This is possible, but owner would like to know details.
