  • "Lovely property in a great location."

The gas bottles ran low one day but this was quickly sorted by the property owner and letting agents. There's parking available in the resident's parking area of the local pay and display car park. The parking permit will be found in the property. Nice and peaceful garden with fruit trees. The shower in the "Beach House" is lovely. Spitting distance from the Orwell River and Butt and Oyster pub

Great location. Lovely pub within 100 yards.

  • "Disappointing."

The advertised "fridge/freezer" is actually an undercounter fridge with a completely frosted up, unusable ice box at the top. All the frozen food we had taken with us had to be eaten during the first two days. The shower room outbuilding is damp and fetid and would have been even worse if I hadn't emptied the dehumidifier water tank daily. I should not have to clear up dog poo from the garden and path - presumably left by previous occupants, but not picked up by the cleaners during changeover. Wifi is weak and regularly dropped out completely. No password instructions left for the apparently stronger network, Riverview2. No instructions for bin collection day. Had to work out for ourselves that it meant taking the bin across the field and leaving on the roadside near to the pub.

  • "Lovely cottage."

Very well presented. Clean and comfortable. Hard to find! Wouldn't like to look for it after dark. Distance to car park also includes getting luggae to cottage. Could be clearer. Very overgrown path!!

  • "Bed was a little soft for me- that might not be a problem for others, just that I’m used to a hard mattress."

  • "The property was cold and damp due to the gas bottles being empty."

This wasn't resolved until the Wednesday- at the least I would have expected to be offered electric heaters as an interim measure. I don't expect to have to sit in my coat inside a house in May, nor for it to be warmer outside than inside the house. The shower outbuilding is basically rotting and although not billed as a sleeping area, the photos are very misleading. Extremely disappointed overall.

  • "What a wonderful cottage!"

So much charm and character - we loved it. A super base for sailing and exploring the area. Thank you.
