"A warm and friendly welcome was received by Helen and Paul, the owners, upon our arrival."
The property is an Annexe to the main house and is in a super position with outstanding views. It is situated on the Fort William to Mallaig road and is ideal for exploring the area. Very private, clean with an outdoor seating area, it perfectly catered for our needs. We enjoyed it so much we are looking to return in the not too distant future. Jenny & Colin

"We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Little Danescroft."
The accommodation was clean, comfortable, well equipped and we soon felt completely at home. We managed a mix of sightseeing and relaxation which was perfect for us. The scenery in the area is breathtaking, couldn’t get enough of it. Our hosts Helen and Paul were very accommodating, though left us to get on with things unless we asked them something. A great break which we would certainly recommend.

"The property is in a good location within walking distance of Corpach marina, railway station, a Co-op supermarket and the very interesting Treasures of the Earth museum."
There are delightful views from the lounge and terrace over Loch Linnhe towards Fort William a few miles away. Everything was provided by the lovely owners. We really enjoyed our stay.
-
"A wonderful home from home with very hospitable, caring and helpful proprietors for whom, clearly, this is a labour of love."
Very well equipped. Everything was as or exceeded the description. This is a lovely property elevated well above the road, close to Corpach station and bus route into Fort William and about 10 minutes walk from Great Glen Way. There are superb views of Ben Nevis and Loch Linnhe from the living room and outside patio. We spent a very happy week here without a car. Many thanks to Helen and Paul.
-
"Little Danescroft was great, a lovely annexe with everything we needed and beautiful views over Loch Linhe and Fort William."
It is very close to Fort William and perfect for touring the Highlands. The railway station at Corpach is just a few minutes walk for the scenic train ride to Mallaigh. Helen is a wonderful host, so friendly and helpful. We felt quite sad to be leaving and would certainly recommend.

"Little Danescroft is situated in the perfect spot, and Helen is a lovely host!"
The cottage itself is well equipped with everything you might need for your stay. It's warm, cosy and has the most spectacular views of Ben Nevis and Fort William. On a sunny morning there is no better place to have your coffee than on the lovely little patio! The cottage sits on a steep, sloping driveway which makes parking a little awkward. I also have a very slight mobility issue so found walking up and down the drive difficult. The television requires upgrading, we couldn't watch any of the ITV channels, and BBC is limited too. These few issues aside, we had a lovely week in Corpach, its a beautiful area to visit!

"Very clean and comfortable and the owner was super helpful with sorting things out."
-
"We had such a lovely stay here!"
A very comfortable base from which to explore the area, and with superb views. Thanks for being so welcoming and helpful!
-
"What a beautiful cottage."
Thank you Helen and Paul - welcoming, helpful and full of advice before and during our stay. Fantastic facilities and little touches of wine, snacks and fresh flowers. Useful maps and welcome pack and even let us borrow walking poles! Amazing views and great location to drive/train/bus to so many places to visit/walk/take in the endless views. We were so lucky with the great weather but it would have been just as good in the rain! Well worth the long journey, we hope to visit again. Thank you.

"We had a lovely two week holiday in the cottage."
Helen and Paul made us feel very welcome, had had plenty of info about the surrounding area. When we visit Scotland again, we will definitely stay here again, it had great views a very handy co-op, nice walks in the area.
-
"This was a wonderful cottage."
Very spacious , very clean, very well equipped (everything you could want and more) and with lots of little personnel touches by the owners. Helen and Paul were very welcoming suggesting ideas for places to visit and providing a welcome tray and fresh flowers which were very much appreciated by us,.The views out of the front window of Ben Nevis were second to none - in all weathers! A good place to stay to explore the area.
-
"Little Danescroft was a pleasure to stay at."
We were made extremely welcome by owner Helen with only necessary contact. There was nothing lacking regarding fittings, furnishing and equipment, everything is of high quality. Looking out of the window at Ben Nevis didn’t disappoint.
-
"When we booked the property the photographs were not the same as are now presented."
The write up says the accommodation is semi detached and adjoining the owners property. In reality the accommodation is part of the owners house and there are owners rooms above the accommodation used by us. Movement above could be heard. There is a locked door into the rest of the house from the holiday accommodation and the owners landline telephone can be clearly heard. The phone rang late at night waking us up. The heating temperature and time is controlled by the owners.
We are sorry that you feel the property has been misrepresented. This is of the upmost importance to us at Sykes and we are currently working to ensure we provide a clear and concise description for all future guests. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact our customer relations department, we are open 7 days a week, 9am-7pm. Property Owner

"The cottage was very well equipped with everything you could think of."

All the usual cleaning materials were provided and the milk, biscuits and wine are a lovely touch. The property has stunning views of Ben Nevis and views over the loch and is on a bus route with a local train stop nearby. Highly recommend Little Danescroft for couples looking for a quiet and relaxing base.

"Helen and Paul were very welcoming."
The provisions when we arrived at the cottage were much appreciated. The property was fully equipped and more than met our expectations. Well situated with stunning views across to Fort William and surrounding mountains. Would happily recommend Sykes Cottages and Little Danescroft as a base for exploring the area. We had a brilliant time.

"Brilliant location, lovely owners and everything (and more) that you need for a comfortable, home-from-home stay."
-
"The Cottage was really comfortable and well equipped home from home."
The views from the cottage are fantastic and the local shops and the shops in and around Fort William are very close to the Cottage. We had a fantastic time and would certainly recommend the area and the Cottage to anyone who likes the Highlands and Isles as a centre for seeing both. The owners Helen & Brian were very helpful and the Cottage & surrounding are a credit to them.
-
"It would be hard to get a better position with a fantastic view of Ben Nevis and the lock at Fort William."
The only drawback was traffic noise from the busy road at the bottom of the drive. But everything else outweighed that. Very warm welcome from the owner.
-
"Helen & Paul were very warm & welcoming owners & have a lovely, well equipped cottage with fantastic views."
Very peaceful - a real home from home with everything you could want & more. Very well situated in easy walking distance to Neptune's Loch one way & local amenities, including a friendly pub & co-op, in the other. Thank you again for a brilliant week away, we'll hopefully see you again in a couple of years!
-
"Fantastic cottage, has everything you need including the superb views of Ben Nevis, the Loch and canal."
Helen & Paul excellent hosts and extra touches appreciated. The lounge is very comfortable and the bed is the best we have slept in. Nice patio area to sit with a glass of wine after the exertions of the day and admire the view. The cottage is a great base for exploring and, in fact, has a good flat walk from Corpach Basin along the canal to Neptune staircase. Would definitely recommend this cottage, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

"We were welcomed by the owners who were extremely friendly and helpful in showing us around the accommodation and how the appliances worked."
The position of this property is excellent for stunning views and access to the train station, bus transport and of course the canal locks. Everything you could want was in the property, with the only exception of a washing machine (for one week for 2 people that was not a problem. Plenty of facilities to dry your damp clothes due to good old Scottish rain). Great location for getting around whilst close to Fort William. We certainly would recommend this property to anyone.
