Step into this delightful abode and discover the open-plan living area, featuring a well-appointed kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and even a washing machine, so you won’t have to pack your whole wardrobe.

A patio door provides access to the enclosed garden, complete with a table and chairs so you can enjoy alfresco dining on a balmy evening.

When night falls, retire to the bedrooms, consisting of a king-size, double and twin, each presented to a wonderful standard with neat furnishings and storage for your belongings.

Take time to explore the old castle ruins and stunning priory, or just relax with an ice cream in the riverside park, where bands often play, or if you fancy a boat trip then hop on board one of the regular ferries that gently chug their way up the River Stour.

After building up an appetite, be sure to sample some of the well-established restaurants in the area; visit The Boathouse, a popular restaurant offering alfresco dining and river views.

The fabulous wine bar of Soho, where you can enjoy good food and cocktails, and The Thomas Tripp, a local institution and family-run pub offering tasty meals can all be found close by.

Visit the Jetty for some fine dining or indulge in some fresh seafood at The Noisy Lobster, a superb waterfront restaurant which offers fresh produce and a charming outdoor dining experience.

Amble along the pretty coastlines and take in the coastal scenery or spend an afternoon at the beach; why not venture into Bournemouth and discover their splendid attractions?

With plenty to fill your holiday itinerary, a holiday at Trinity Cottage will be full of adventure.

Would I recommend Trinity Cottage?

Yes. I hope following may be useful. Location. The property is very central. That may suit many for obvious reasons but note the exact location may be thought of as a bit noisy at times to people looking for quiet. It backs onto a public car park. It adjoins a service road for High Street deliveries. It is within 100m of shops/bars. Car parking. It has a tandem space. Very useful. The spaces are very tight indeed and the driver’s side are up against a tall brick wall. Alternative parking options either in that public car park or elsewhere nearby might be required for larger vehicles or for those for whom squeezing doesn’t come easy. The house. Suits well for a short stay. Open plan living with downstairs wc. All three bedrooms a decent size (no box room here). A bath in the bathroom with a shower over that doesn’t require a daily fight with a cold shower curtain. 15 years old with decent heating and an all round solid feel. As with many rentals you might get frustrated with the number of available bowls/plates/dining chairs/bedroom drawers etc or with using cheap bendy plastic utensils or the absence of options you’d simply grab from the drawer in your own home. No sieve, (blunt) plastic kitchen knives and so on. At least the shops are literally just around the corner! “Fine” but at circa £250/night in high season these things can grate. Note also at present the tv in the Living Room is woefully unresponsive for the modern age. First world problem? Maybe but it isn’t unreasonable in 2026 to ask for a tv that simply switches on and works. The operating system was evidently and firmly at the budget end when new and x years on it simply cannot cope with even turning on, changing channel or switching from live tv to Xbox/smart functions. Attempts to turn on, then actually start watching a chosen show on the iPlayer, for example, might take ten minutes and three comments of “switch it off and try again, dear”. In 2026 that’s beyond poor. A second note to the owner. Check the light fitting over the Dining Area. It doesn’t operate and from the number of loose, obviously brand new bulbs in the kitchen drawers I will assume previous visitors have also wondered if it was “probably just the bulb”. Overall, recommended.

Another delightfully relaxing stay at Trinity Cottage, superbly appointed and located in the heart of beautiful Christchurch, just behind the High Street.

The owners couldn't be more kind and helpful to ensure vistors have a welcoming and stress free holiday. Space for two cars in private parking and there are public EV Chargers less than 100m away in Wick Lane car park just behind the property.

The location and property are wonderful, however when we arrived there was no internet or television.

My sister arrived the second night and found the internet switched off at the wall so that was fixed but we were not able to get the TV working at all. No other entertainment to distract from a long evening, no board games etc. The kitchen sink plug smelt very badly and you could smell that there had been dogs having accidents in the property but for the price we payed we were okay with that. It would have been nice to have some sort of toiletries to use in the bathroom. Great location otherwise but the TV problem was a real shame.
