  • "Seafarers was delightful, clean, very well equipped, comfortable with everything we could need."

    The dog treats,bowls and towel were a lovely touch. We were also pleased that the garden really was enclosed ( so often not the case) so our dog could go out there safely. Being so close to the beach was the icing on the cake!

  • "We loved our stay here it was cosy and comfortable."

    Well stocked with all the essentials. We had a 16 hour road trip over from France so arriving with tea coffee and bread was appreciated since the local supermarket was closed by the time we arrived. Great location we loved walking to the beach where the children enjoyed despite the cold February weather. Hope to return in the future!

    It had everything there you could possibly need and the garden was fully enclosed which was good for the dog. We met the owners and they were the nicest couple you could possibly meet. We are looking to book it again for next year.

  • "A spacious well equipped bungalow with a fully enclosed garden for the furry members of the family."

    Ideal as just a short walk from the beach promenade. Very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed a sunny peaceful few days and would definitely recommend the Seafarers Rest to friends and family.

  • "Extremely well equipped kitchen."

    Spotlessly clean. Sofas slightly low for people with dodgy knees. Front entrance steps rather high for dodgy knees, but didn't spoil our stay. Beds comfortable, garden safe for dogs. All in all an enjoyable week with amazing sunrises at the beach 5 minutes stroll away.

  • "We enjoyed our week at Seafarers."

    Pippa was a thoughtful host came round to help us when we needed help understanding the gas heating (we’re all electric). Flowers on arrival a lovely touch. Front door could be tricky if you have severe mobility issues (high 2nd step )back door easier to get in but you need to go through the gate and around the house (spoke to Pippa she is aware and hopes to sort this out soon)

  • "Pippa’s holiday property is absolutely lovely and she has provided everything you could possibly need to have a fab holiday in a quiet residential area which is very close to the beach."

    To be honest, the only thing that let the property down a bit was the quality of cleaning in the bathroom (the basin) and the kitchen worktops and sink. It wasn’t a major issue as I cleaned them myself. Everywhere else was absolutely fine. Just feedback for future reference. Pippa was a fab host and very responsive to my texts. Would highly recommend this property

  • "Fantastic detached bungalow with a great wrap around hard standing at the back and lawn safely enclosed so plenty of space even for our big dog."

    Everything you need for a lovely week. Felt fresh and clean thoughtful decor. Easy walk to East beach which also had a pond to walk round and bit of a green area. If you have children there was a good skate park by the sea total of 400 yards away. Selsey is beautiful and has everything charity shops, plenty of eating out restaurants and take aways. West Wittering is only twenty minutes drive and the sandy beach is stunning and fantastic for the dog that also has a large green area for them to run around near the car park. Nothing was too much trouble for Pippa if you had any queries or issues to sort. Huge fridge, freezer, oven lots of hidden storage areas. Comfy beds having the ensuite as well as the separate bathroom was ideal. They have a huge outdoor sofa with cushions you can lounge out on. Only saw the neighbours once and they smiled and waved so felt friendly. There seems to not be any light pollution around there so the stars and moon I'm the garden were amazing worth taking a telescope. Sir Patrick Moores house is in West Street, Selsey so worth a look. So many dog walks absolutely spoilt and it seemed to always be sunny. Very pleasant owner only contacted her when we were leaving so we had a nice private time. You couldn't want for more in the cupboards in the kitchen. Chichester very close lovely shops around there and East Wittering. I would highly recommend this and hope to return.

Once an island (Selsey means ‘Seal Island’), the town stands at the tip of the Manhood Peninsula and Selsey Bill, the southernmost tip of West Sussex. The beach at Selsey is one of the best in Sussex and makes for a perfect family day out. Whether sailing, swimming, beachcombing or just paddling in the sea, this lovely coastline can be enjoyed all year round. Perhaps fishing for the famous Selsey crabs takes your fancy, or there are plenty of restaurants serving this local delicacy in the town. Selsey has a full and varied past, once a haven for smugglers and vagabonds, this part of the coast is now a quaint town with plenty of fisherman's cottages, cafes and sandy beaches. Another reason for holidaying in Selsey is the dark sky; as most of the street lights are turned off at midnight, you will see the sky light up with millions of stars, which is why the famous astrologer Patrick Moore made his home in Selsey.
