  • "The Chapel was warm and welcoming, clean and tidy, lovely welcome pack for us too."

The bed were lovely and comfortable, and there was everything we could need in the kitchen. We had a fabulous holiday made perfect by The Chapel and the local pub was friendly, with great food too. Definitely an added bonus!

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovingly restored old Methodist chapel."

Very comfortable, cosy, well equipped & spotlessly clean. A peaceful village with walks in beautiful countryside from the door & a friendly pub within walking distance. The only negative for us was the total absence of any clothes storage facility in either bedroom except for a hanging rail. Otherwise perfect!

  • "The property has everything that you wish for."

very comfortable beds and the showers are brilliant as with the lovely log burner. It poured it down almost every day bar 1 day when it was lovely to drive out and see the views!!. Whilst we would Highly Recommend this property, unfortunately the same can't be said for Sykes as we found it was vary near impossible to contact them on the phone and there is no where one can send them an email, to confirm your sleeping arrangements. • "Absolutely loved staying here."

Spotlessly clean and loved the design and interior of the Chapel. Will stay there again. Only downside was with Sykes themselves tried to telephone them to confirm configuration of beds no answer, texted them and it took over 24 hours to get a response was not impressed.

Hello Peter, it’s Richard from The Old Chapel here! Thank you for the positive feedback and noted ref Sykes. I’ll follow this up with them as it’s not good enough! Hope to see you again! Property Owner

  • "Charming converted chapel, done to a very high standard, good easy access to shower and lovely comfortable beds."

Easy parking. Our only problem, as mentioned in a previous review, the settees were too low for 2 over 70 year olds, we utilised all the cushions to try and make them better. Nice short walk to The Pandy Inn which served lovely food complete with good hospitality. We had beautiful weather and on walking back from the Pandy on our last evening were accompanied by the bell ringers practicing at the local church, just perfect.

  • "We booked the old chapel for a writer's retreat and it was perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle of real life."

It was so quiet and peaceful. A visit to The Pandy Inn is a must. So welcoming and excellent food at a very reasonable price.

  • "Lovely cottage, we had stayed before so knew what to expect."

Facilities had been updated and everything sparkling and fresh. Only problem for us is one we've had before as 'oldies'. Comfortable settees etc but hard to get out of as very low. Lots of cushions around though which helped. Beds comfortable and bathrooms had all we needed. We were lucky enough to stay for 2 weeks, for Hay Festival and some chill out time after. Countryside lovely and lots to see in the area. Some good food venues in easy reach (Pandy Inn, Food for thought and GWatkins all delicious). Highly recommend cottage, hosts and area.

The village is in a very scenic area with plenty of walking opportunities. The local pub is highly recommended with a very warm welcome and excellent value food and drink.

  • "The property is beautifully presented."

It is a converted Chapel and has been done in a very sympathetic way. When we arrived on the Friday evening the property was lovely and warm with the heating having been put on ahead of our arrival, always a pleasant surprise. Whilst we didn'tcook this time we had a look at the kitchen and can say that it is well equipped with plenty of cutlery, crockery, untensils and mugs/cups.Would fully recommend this property and we will be looking to go back in the future. Thank you.

  • "The Old Chapel is truely delightful."

Its conversion has been done to a very high standard. We were very comfortable with lovely bed and bedding. The shower was very good and the shower gell and body lotion were lovely. I am tempted to buy some myself. The selection of goodies to welcome us was very thoughtful. Dorstone is a great village and the Pandy Inn well worth a visit.
