If you don't fancy cooking one evening, book a table at the Cider Barn, an award-winning restaurant located just a short walk away from your lodgings.

Further afield, discover the National Trust sites of Croft Castle and Parkland, as well as Berrington Hall, two wonderful spots for exploring expansive gardens and estates, or indulging a family picnic.

Further afield, uncover the delights of the Shropshire Hills AONB, with an abundance of walking, hiking and cycling opportunities, in addition to Stokesay Castle, Land of Lost Content Museum and Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd.

A day trip to Ludlow or Hay-on-Wye, two towns brimming with independent cafes and restaurants, should also be on the agenda whilst you're in the region.

Eardisland 2.1 miles; Leominster 7.5 miles; Hereford 16.1 miles; Hay-on-Wye 20.5 miles.

The bustling medieval village of Pembridge lies on the Black & White Village Trail and boasts many striking 15th and 16th Century half-timbered buildings, and has held markets and fairs in the village since the early 1200s. The village has a beautiful 14th century market hall, 3 traditional village pubs, an excellent village store, a cafe and a church with a unique detached bell tower. Close by, the picturesque village of Weobley, once voted one of the top ten places to live in England, has many timber-framed buildings, and excellent facilities including a village shop, local pubs and the renowned Jules restaurant. Hay-on-Wye, the town of books, is within easy reach as are medieval Ludlow, the cathedral city of Hereford with its medieval bridge spanning the River Wye, Mappa Mundi world map and Chained Library. The magnificent Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons National Park also make a great day out. Surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside including Offa's Dyke and the Golden Valley, this is an excellent location for walking and cycling trails as well as sampling wonderful local produce at a local cheese factory, vineyard and cider farms.
