A lovely place with special comforting touches that made our stay all the more enjoyable, from the helpful notes and fresh cut flowers, to the dog blanket and treats for our boy, we will be coming back and have already recommend to our friends

Thank you. I m so glad you had a nice time. It s lovely when guests leave the place clean and tidy. Thankfully all our guests have been marvelous, like yourselves. Thank you again. Louise Property Owner

  • "As regular visitors to Winchelsea Beach, we found Ballyhandy to be an ideal holiday place to stay with our dog, and in a great location too."

It was quiet and peaceful and very relaxing. The accommodation was lovely, very clean and tastefully furnished. Loved that it has a dishwasher too! Also loved the decked veranda with seating provided as well. Also, the little extra touches like the fresh flowers, biscuits, sweets and dog treats, etc, which were all very welcome, thank you. The only thing I would say is that I felt one of the mattresses was rather uncomfortable as you could feel the springs and they tended to dig in, but maybe the mattress needed turning over perhaps. Other than that, Ballyhandy was a fantastic holiday home to stay in and we wouldn't hesitate to book there again, as well as recommended it to others. Thank you Louise, not only for your lovely accommodation but for contributing to making this a relaxing peaceful Autumn break for my husband and I!

  • "We had a lovely time at Ballyhandy, and was really lucky with the weather, we had 3 days there so we, went to Rye one day, also to camber sands, visited winchelsea beach, and also sat on the patio relaxing."

There were pubs quite near to have a meal. Also just down the road is a co-op, and Bens Fish & Chips, which were very good. The lodge was so warm cosy and inviting, when you get back, there, and everything is spotless and new. And it was lovely to have all the goodies, waiting for us and Eyra our little dog. when we arrived Thank-you

  • "This was a smashing cabin, clean and bright, very comfortable beds, lovely kitchen and a great touch waiting for us treats and a blanket and ball for our dog scooby and sweets, milk tea and coffee, and biscuits for us, and some fruit, the area was smashing as well, the down side was."

..there was no screen, bushes so we were overlooked all the time from the caravan next to us, and the lounge furniture was so uncomfortable we only went in there for the 10oclock news, we played scrabble and cards on the dining table most evenings. We loved it and if there was better more comfortable furniture we would use again....I did leave my tupperware box full of dog food but the postage back was horrific.....can't give 5 ✨ due to the lounge.

Thank you for your review Mrs Groom. You did leave your tupperware box with doggie treats but I have left them there for other dogs, I hope you don t mind. As you say postage is very expensive although, had you wanted me to I would send them back to you. We have heard yours, and other views, regarding the seating. We will be looking into changing it. We just have to find seating that is dog friendly, comfy and easy to clean. Leather sofas often need wearing in for a while.Obviously we also have to be aware of dogs scratching the material with their paws. Property Owner
