  • "Great property in a great location."

Nicely furnished and really cosy and comfortable. If you are coming in winter and plan to cook stews, consider bringing your slow cooker / casserole dish as there are no large pans.

  • "Very good location, nicely furnished, well equipped (note the very good bathrooms and high-tech TV) and plenty of space."

No complaints to be honest, except for the weather. Things you might want to consider: - the process of putting the bins out was a mystery- it appears that you have bin fairy (or the next door neighbour?) that sorted this out; - if the property has six people in it, then you’re going to need some casserole pots, particularly for autumn/winter period; not every batch of visitors eats out all the time. Hello Andrew. Thank you for your kind feedback. My next door neighbour kindly puts our bin (commercial) out every Monday evening. Regarding your comments about casserole pots we have stock which is available on request. Warm Regards. Stephen Calvin. Owner. Property Owner

  • "We arrived early and, by chance, bumped into the owner."

It was an absolute pleasure to meet him and he accommodated early access which we very much appreciated. Greta View exceeded expectation .. it is extremely well laid out with quality furnishings and is immensely comfortable. The outside area was a real sun trap in the late afternoon/evening and with parking literally on the doorstep we wanted for nothing. After a 5 hour hike, falling into one of the super comfy beds after a power shower was heavenly! With the lake, the town, a good supermarket (Booths), the well kept parks, the river and a variety of eateries a short stroll away ... oh and those wonderful views ... it was outstanding. Commendations to the owner, and to the housekeeping staff for their high standards of cleanliness.

Hello Sandra. Apologies for the delayed reply. Your kind feedback is very much appreciated from all the Greta View team. Hopefully your Keswick experience will one day bring you back. Kind Regards. Stephen. Property Owner

  • "A superb property in a great location."

Comfort, cleanliness and equipment all first class. When contacted the owner was friendly, helpful with local knowledge and quick to arrange for small problem to be fixed. Would have no hesitation about rebooking if visiting the area again.

Very much appreciate your kind feedback and you enjoyed your stay at Greta View. Also, that we were able to rectify the issue without too much inconvenience. Kind Regards. Stephen. Property Owner

  • "We had a fantastic week in this lovely house."

The weather wasn’t kind to us so it was great to have somewhere so comfortable, cosy and well-equipped as a base. Beds were huge and comfortable; showers and bath amazing and kitchen certainly had everything we felt we needed. The view was amazing and the kids loved playing hide and seek with Skiddaw as it came in and out of the clouds. Perfect base for several walks and literally two minutes walk to the centre of Keswick with all its amenities. We are already trying to work out when we can come back - thank you!

Firstly I would like to thank you for choosing Greta View for your holiday in the Lake District even though the weather conditions preventing some of your planned walks. Your positive feedback makes all the effort we put into our Keswick property all the worthwhile and we would like to welcome you back to Greta View on your next visit to Keswick. Kind Regards. • "This is a truly excellent property with a very high standard of furnishing and facilities."

Each bedroom was warm and comfortable, and the living / dining area had everything we could ask for. The location was ideal, a nice view over the river and the short walk into Keswick for an evening meal was easy enough. Contact with the hosts was nice and easy and the overall experience has been really positive. Thank you.

Thank you for your kind and positive feedback after your stay at Greta View. We look forward to welcoming you back when you next visit the Lake District. Regards. Stephen Calvin. Landlord. Property Owner
