Fabulous family home.
Views of the fells stunning especially from the first floor living room! Our grandsons loved the games room. So many rooms to relax in, tastefully decorated. Garden is attractive to sit in. A wonderful base to explore from. Plenty of walks around. Braithwaite is a small village with a well stocked shop and two good pubs. Definitely want to come back here.
How End is a beautiful property with easy access to Keswick and local amenities.
The views over the Skiddaw range are breathtaking and we found it very difficult to leave this extremely comfortable, quirky property. There are two things that would have improved our stay, access to the property from the lane with a large car is difficult which could be improved by simply cutting the hedge. The other issue was that there was an infestation of fly's in the boiler room when we arrived, could this be due to the position of the dust bins ?
Fabulous 3 night stay at How End.
Great location, walking distance from 4 eateries. The house had amazing views. We loved the fact there were many fantastic walks straight from the house. As a party of 8 we had everything we needed. Very well equipped. The lounge with its stunning views was a perfect place to relax after a long day hiking.
