The place was hard to find.

We were walking and were looking for a sign to top notch - which was not obvious. It spoilt our arrival in the rain at 4.20 The cleaners were still there! We needed to rest and sleep so asked them to make up the beds quickly. The outside lobby had a lot of water and the cleaners were needing to mop up with towels. The mats on the balcony got soaked when it rained on the second day. We were also disappointed that there was no basics for a drink like milk and tea bags, On the positive side - the cleaners went out and bought us milk and gave us an apology and a bottle of wine. The stay was lovely after that - lovely view from the balcony and not too far down the hill to the centre. The hill is steep though.

The accommodation is lovely - good kitchen, tho the toaster needs replacing as it's cracked and the levers/knobs are broken.

No grill pan that we could see (as alternative). Living room very comfortable and balcony and view outstanding. Bedrooms comfortable, tho second bedroom was a little dusty. Main concern was very bad smell in bathroom - ?? drains or damp. Also when it rained the front porch area flooded badly. Parking was tricky with a medium sized car - if other flat had been occupied it would have been impossible to park. Overall we really liked the apartment, it's location was great and view fabulous.

Please don't publish this in full as some of this is information for the owners (or Sykes) to use, more than for would-be guests.

First - positives. Great location, and the view from the balcony up to Fairfield is wonderful - you should make more of this in the online sales stuff. Good standard of accommodation inside, albeit not deluxe but you never claimed it was. Had no problems with the shower though the notices in the bathroom seemed to indicate that some other people have had problems. Enjoyed our stay. A few negatives: (1) The toaster doesn't safely work and needs to be replaced. Both the 'down' slider handles are broken. (2) there is water accumulating in the outside covered porch, close to the exterior water connections. Not sure if leak from the plastic roof or from the pipes. Got bigger and bigger while we were there. (3) Not enough cooking and dining equipment, of all kinds - not enough pans, mugs, cutlery, and specifically no good frying pans. There were only two of us staying and this seemed like a bit of a problem - when there are 4 people staying, and particularly if for more than a couple of days, this becomes a big problem. Easily fixed, I suggest.
