Sunnycote was an ideal location and an excellent space for our family gathering.

There were ample rooms, comfy beds and generally good facilities. The property is let down by an inadequate cleaning regime for changeover and poor maintenance. The connection between Sykes and the landlord was poor since the gas cooker had an issue that we reported but was neither attended to nor any feedback provided. This restricting our cooking options. To wash, dry and changeover 15 beds in 6 hours as well as clean the place was a tall order for a single cleaner and hence lots of areas were not cleaned, bins left from previous guests, dog poo in garden etc We had a great stay but attention to these housekeeping issues would have made it easier on us and brought the place up to the standard expected for holiday accommodation. Sykes should also review their process for handling customer issues. Better was expected from an established large holiday rental company!

There was a slight hiccup at check-in but the owner was very helpful and sorted this out straight away.

The property is very homely with loads of space and plenty of bathrooms. We had a very relaxing long weekend, a shop a minute away, pubs & cafes at the bottom of the road and lots of lovely walks from the doorstep.

The owner wasn't expecting us - not a problem we worked it out between us to make it happen.

Loved the fact the it was very rustic so didn't feel on edge with children running about ( I mean this in a nice way. For the size of the house and the people it can cater for, kitchen isn't very big, dish washer works but the inside holders are broke, the dining area it very cluttered but we got over it. Bedrooms/ bathrooms fab, beds comfy. We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. P S the garden was very muddy luckily we brought old towels for the dogs paws.
