Goswick Hall is a lovely cottage.
It feels cosy, yet the bedrooms are the largest I've ever had in a Lake District property. Having an excellent pub five minutes walk up the road is a nice bonus! There are pretty walks from the doorstep. The owner was so friendly and helpful too. Highly recommended.
Surprised how large the property was, large beds all very comfortable.
Great location the Masons arm pub so close. Great dining parking and so quite fantastic location. Very well equipped property
Four adults had a very enjoyable stay at Goswick Hall.
It’s a comfortable and spacious property for a larger group and was the perfect base to return to after our daily hikes. The kitchen was very well equipped and delivered perfectly. The local pub The Mason’s arms serves very good food but will need booking in advance as quite small and popular. Jim the owner was delightful and made us feel very welcome with a wealth of useful knowledge. We arrived on his birthday to stay in the house he was born in and it was a privilege to hear his and the houses’ history. Goswick Hall is not a luxury, stylish property as can be seen from the photos and as a previous reviewer mentioned needs some TLC in places. Having said that for the price we paid it was excellent value for money. I hope owners such as these can continue to provide this type of accommodation so that we can enjoy the beauty of our country - given the burden of all the other agencies involved with rental properties wanting an increasingly larger slice of their income streams. Thank you Jim and family.
