What guests are saying
Lovely bungalow, well equipped, very clean and comfortable.
The owners were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble, even helped us with our luggage on arrival and depature. It was lovely to watch the squirrels chasing and playing from the kitchen window and the the sheep in the field from the bedroom.
Really enjoyed our stay at the Old Stables.
Would definitely go back and recommend to family & friends. Very clean, and well presented, lots of space but still cosy. plenty of parking space. Great location so easy to get to beaches,& shops, loads of great places to eat. Highly recommend. Lovely they accommodate dogs as well.
Great little well equipped, beautifully decorated cottage in a peaceful setting, spacious gardens to sit out in and relax.
Plenty to do in the area, walks and there’s a shop & pet friendly pub close by. The hosts were lovely & helpful. Would definitely recommend and return in the futyre
Continues to offer a high standard at a good price.
Lovely little place.
Very friendly and helpful owners.
Everthing was perfect.
The environment but also everthing inside.
We really enjoyed our stay in The Old Stables.
It was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed.
The Old Stables is a beautiful accommodation, with a couple of tweaks it would be perfect.
Suffering with mobility and balance issues because of acute heart failure there was not a permanent grip rail in the shower, (there was a suction grip rail, but it wouldn't grip) so I was unable to shower in case I fell. Apart from that, the accommodation was perfect for our needs.
Clean cottage.
side garden great for dog would be better if front patio was enclosed with a small gate as you walk in front of all the other cottages. Bed very creaky at window side . cottage on a side lane but getting onto main road very hard can be very busy and can’t see either way.. Wi-Fi needed..
The old stables was clean, comfortable apart from the bed creaking when I got in out of bed or turned over the side near window !
We assumed our patio was gated, so was very awkward with our 6 month old puppy, could'nt sit out with her liked We would have expected, so we went out more than we would have so that our puppy had exercise, other than than all good thankyou
Nice place.
Pleasant and helpful owners.
The only downside is no internet however if you have mobile hotspot you're fine.
Also wouldn't put us off going again. Annette and Ray are lovely hosts.
We have just got back from 3 days in this cottage.
The cottage was perfect in every way - Really well equipped, very modern and extremely clean. It is also in a very good location with easy access to some great places such as Cleveleys, Blackpool and Lytham. Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in this area
It was everything as in the advert.
Perfect for our needs and requirements.
This was the 9th time we have visited these properties and enjoyed every stay.
The 3rd time at the Stables. We can totally recommend the holiday properties to everyone who requires a relaxing holiday. Fantastic. We will be back.
Lovely property with lovely furnishings and equipment.
The hosts were excellent and couldn't do enough for us. The location is ideal for the Fylde coast. Do not miss out on staying here, it really is 5*
We have holidayed here several times it is so peaceful but close to all amenities its ideal for us aswell as our our dogs .
The accomodation is well maintained and very comfortable a wee home from home . Thank you to Anette and Roy who always make us feel very welcome .
We had a loveley stay nice and quiet , the cottages are gated feel secure.
The owners were great. Very clean, had all you need. Will stay again
Have stayed at the Stables a few times now .
Perfect place to relax and unwind. Not far from Blackpool, Fleetwood and the Lakes.
Lovely little cottage in a nice area.
Very comfortable with everything that we needed. Lytham Hall is a must to visit. The front at Cleveleys is great to walk along. Something for everyone.
Lovely comfortable cottage.
Home from home. Well equipped with everything you need. Lovely country surroundings local to Cleveleys, Fleetwood and Blackpoo. Would highly recommend. Looking forward to coming back in June
I booked this cottage for my dad and his wife to come and stay for the weekend with their dog.
They were thrilled with the cottage and its facilities. The bedroom was spacious and well furnished, the walk in shower was perfect as she has mobility issues and the living area was very comfortable for them with a very well equipped kitchen. Great location with lots of amenities close by, would highly recommend!
very welcoming,it was like home from home very clean and comfy, such a relaxing peaceful place to be,the old stables had everything we needed we would defiantly come back next year thank you we loved it mr and mrs causton
Like everyone else has said, the Old Stables was PERFECT for our stay.
Not only is there everything you need in the apartment, but whatever your extra needs may be, Annette and Roy cannot be more helpful....the best hosts ! I wouldn't hesitate in returning or recommending to anyone who seeks a comfortable and restful retreat. 5 nights in early September 2023 and the most glorious weather. Overall, our break couldn't have been any better.
Lovely comfortable stay.
We had everything we needed and it’s a great location for the Fylde Coast and Overwyre. The owners are very friendly and we would definitely return.
Excellent lovely cottages 2nd time we have stayed everything you need will be back
an excellent property, great location, peaceful, secure wonderful hosts,
Our 2nd stay at the cottages and once again were not disappointed.
The owners are lovely people who are there if you need anything. Lovely large grassed area with plenty of seating if you want to relax or have dogs or children to exercise
Brilliant relaxing holiday 5 star
-Does not state property is the back of a garden centre - Patio not closed off between each property or scure at all not suitable for dogs (Panels also missing) -Garden centre visitors can on look and park outside.
No privacy - Grass area not fenced off and garden centre visitors can access. -Although dog friendly be aware that you are not allowed to leave your dog alone. ( stated in the T&Cs indicated after the first night stay) however it is impossible to take a dog with you everywhere. -A dog should be allowed to be left for a reasonable amount of time within socialable hours. Any dog will bark at passers-by. Would have thought if it was a major issues the dog was left and causing so much hassle to have received a call or message to return to the property immediately. -Would not recommend for those under 65 and dog owners
This is our 3rd stay at the Old Stables ( stayed at Hen House Next door x2 ) Love these bungalows been staying for 5 years , so quiet but near to lots of places in the car.
Supermarkets and food places all around . Facilities have been maintained to a high standard . Roy and Annette so friendly but not intrusive . Our Westie Rosie loves it too. Lovely garden to sit in if weather good.
A lovely little cottage.
Warm and cosy, good decor and well equipped. Would definitely return
Lovely cottages, well equipped, cosy and warm everything you for your stay.
Owners are a lovely couple. Area is ideal country wallks pubs and shops within 15 minutes walk. Easy access to coast 10 minute drive. Will highly recommend these cottages
Had a lovely weekend stay the cottage and owners were delightful and so welcoming
bed settee's are not comfortable mismatch in cutlery and crockery bed too hard
This cottage could not have been better, good location, the only thing letting it down is no Wi-Fi.
Should charge a bit extra and fix this. Lovely couple and a brilliant garden centre.
Cottage was fantastic lovely and clean, well equipped with cooking pans plates ect, there was even a washing machine and a dishwasher, the owners were lovely couldn't do enough for us, I was nice a quiet too so was great for my granddaughter who is autistic and doesn't like crowded noisy places, will definitely be booking again
Lovely quiet relaxing stay.
Really clean property with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a comfortable base to explore the area
We found this to be a lovely place to stay.
It had everything we needed to make our stay pleasant. The lounge was comfortable and warm. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. The only thing we needed to bring was the groceries, and our favorite cooking spices. The bedroom was cozy and warm. The king bed was a plus for me (6'7"). We are looking forward to coming back again, and have already booked for the late summer!
Just what we were looking for.
Warm, comfortable and Dog Friendly. Good public transport links to Blackpool and lovely walks on the coast
The accommodation was lovely, it had everything we needed for our short stay.
Was in a great location, on the bus route for easy access to Blackpool and surrounding areas. Wi-fi would be an added bonus for a longer stay. We would definitely book again.
Stayed in this cottage previously and will stay again.
Great location.
Near enough to go to other places close by. Great walks for the dogs and parks near by.
We felt that there was a lack of privacy, from the other properties on the site, so we felt we could not use the outside and were overlooked by people as they went to their cars.
The place would also benefit from the addition of WiFi. The hosts were lovely, and supplied milk and tea after we had a terrible journey taking 9 hours rather that 5 hours we had expected.
We were well pleased with the chalet type accommodation.
It was very clean and well appointed. The property was gated and the gardens enclosed. The proprietors were very nice and helpful. You could drive to the local attractions very easily.
Cottage was very clean and well equipped.
Perfect location for quiet stay with easy access to local resorts. Good safe play area for the dog. Would go again and recommend
Nice spot, welcoming and laid back, everything you need, would certainly recommend the cottage
this holiday cottage was what you see is what you get.
.the photos and descriptions are very accurate. the cottage is immaculately clean and well stocked with everything you need. we would not return only for 2 reasons. 1 was no WiFi and the other us that the shared patio really is very shared and as peoplelike to eat outside if the weather permits, you are practically eating at the table next to your neighbours. if you don’t mind being so close to the holiday house next to you then this is a lovely holiday house, and especially if you have or like dogs.
Excellent peaceful location, cottage was a good size and beautifully kept.
Host was very friendly. Facilities near by, would recommend.
I thought the cottage was lovely and perfect for what I needed.
I could not be more pleased with the hospitality of the hosts Annette and Roy. My complete gratitude to both. Thank You
Absolutely perfect, impeccably clean and well equipped with everything and more needed in a home from home.
Beautiful and stylish, each room is spacious, light and airy and a very comfortable bed is dressed with good quality linen. Such a lovely place, tranquil but near facilities and villages if you want. Highly recommended, thank you
We stayed at the cottage for 6 nights and found the location was ideal as not far from most towns.
Cottage was lovely and warm with all the comforts you have at home but could of done without the dish washer and would of preferred a tumbler drier. It has a lovely large walk in shower and the large king size bed was very comfortable. The 2 seater sofa is also comfortable but low down hubby had to help me up a few times out of it. Overall a pleasant stay..
Anita was really welcoming and helpful.
The apartment was lovely. We spent Christmas here and it seemed very homely. It was cosy and warm and had all the facilities we needed. I could not fault it. The location is quiet and rural, lovely sunrises over the fields. The garden centre, across the lane, did a great breakfast and lunch for those who couldnt be bothered to cook!! We enjoyed our stay so much that we will definately go to The Stables again. Jx
VE RY FRIENDLY.
ANNET LET US IN EARLY SHE DONE EVERYTHING TO HELP US ENJOY OUR BREAK.THE PLACE WAS IMACULATE
A very clean, comfortable and well equipped place to stay in a convenient location.
We were made to feel very welcome and that included the dog, she enjoys the freedom of staying here. The roadworks on a roundabout close by necessitated a short detour for some destinations but nothing too drastic and could not be heard from the cottage even as they worked through the night. The downside for us was the weather, it rained most days but no one can control that, as yet and we did have somewhere warm to come back to.
Booked this holiday 30th August until 6th Sept 2019.
.. Unfortunately we had to come home on the 3rd couldn't cope with accommodation any longer... The place was spotless and well equipped but not for the elderly or disabled like the property information led us to believe … Bedroom beautiful furnished with a King size bed … Bathroom lovely big walk in shower but no grab rail or Bath mat to step out onto and it was a wooden floor so very slippy … The lounge had a sofa and two chairs which were fine if you were young but we could not get up out of them they were so low and the sofa so soft … My husband had cancer surgery and follow up treatment so we thought this would be ideal for him … we resorted to sitting on hard kitchen type chairs to watch the tele not comfortable at all... Then to top it all we arrived Friday the 30th August and on Saturday morning 31st August the road had closed for 7 weeks … no diversion signs we had to keep going well out of our way to get anywhere we were not informed about this … I am not knocking The Old Stables it was spotless and well equipped like I previously said but needs some attention to make it more ideal for the elderly and disabled we paid out £436 pound for 3 days not happy we feel we were mis informed
Had a lovely week at the Old Stables, Annette and Roy are very welcoming.
Perfect for a quiet break. There are chickens, sheep, horses , squirrels , we were very lucky to see an owl flying around. A great place to stay .We will certainly stay again .
Annette and Roy were very friendly and welcoming the location was lovely in the countryside not far from cleverleys fleetwood and Blackpool We toured towns and cities in Lancashire The cottage location was nice and quiet The cottage was cosy and spotless clean A lovely holiday hope to come back soon Many thanks
Great location handy for all motorway routes the cottage was lovely ~very secure spotlessly clean and super warm!
Plenty of walks for the dog . Roy and Annette run a great garden centre the plants are very good value for money. We would highly recommend this lovely cottage which also caters for the disabled. Thank you Roy and Annette.
We would certainly recommend a visit to this property.
You receive a very warm welcome from the owners Annette & Roy. The property was excellent for us, very spacey and accommodating. The surrounding area and small villages are well within walking distance.
The accommodation was very well fitted out and all of the internal materials was of good quality .
The lighting , interior design was pleasing and added to the holiday. The parking was very good and if the weather had been warmer it would have been good to sit outside on the patio. We had our dog with us and there was on open space for her to go outside ( not secure )also good walk down the lane. Even though the accommodation is in the country bus stop just down lane on main road to Blackpool or Fleetwood . Supermarket and local shops and take aways within 3--5 minutes away in car in all directions . Cleveleys sea front just 5mins away in car .
Lovely cottage, Annette was very friendly & accessible.
There is also a nice garden area next to the cottages where we could exercise the dogs but it would also be great for a drink on a Summer’s evening! I had to rearrange my booking & Syke’s customer services could not have been more helpful, I will definitely recommend both this cottage & the company!
New accommadation - lovely rural location with sheep adjacent, but also spitting distance of the sea at Cleveleys and Blackpool.
Short journey to Trough of Bowland, Silverdale, Lancaster and Lytham. Much to do for all tastes. You won't be disappointed at all with very well apponted modern accommodation and hostess Annette - who is very friendly.
One of the best holidays me and my partner have had where my dog Oscar had a free run and made it a stress free holiday would definitely recommend the old stables to friends and family
Really fabulous place and good hosts Quiet and peaceful but close enough to all amenities Brand new cottage and well worth the 5.
5 hour drive Lots to see not far away without venturing into Blackpool Would go again
