"Lovely apartment in the centre of Grasmere."
As always, exactly as advertised. Comfy, warm, clean with plenty to do right from the doorstep. Parking space a short walk but don’t be put off, it’s a gem.

"I was happy with this apartment until the Friday before we departed."
The apartment is above a cafe and you can hear music and voices throughout the day from the cafe. That is just about tolerable however on the Friday night, the music and voices could be clearly heard up to 11.00PM. It was impossible to sleep with such noise. I was very disappointed as I considered that this apartment would merit many visits throughout the year. That dream has now been shattered! Adrian.

"Positive in that it is centrally located for great walks from the door."
However I would not rebook or recommend for the following reasons. Very noisy from the café below. Obviously expected some customer noise, that wasn't an issue, but they play music all day with the speakers placed high near the ceiling and the bass turned up. It bangs through the floor of the apartment. It isn't deafening, but not peaceful either. I would also agree with previous comments about the sofas. After a very long day walking the fells, relaxing into a comfy chair is important. The sofas in the apartment are uncomfortable in the extreme. Finally, although it does come with allocated parking, the listing should be clear that it is located away from the apartment.

"What a fab place, perfect location and close to everything!"
The pizzas downstairs were delicious!

"A very well equipped, comfortable, spacious flat."
Great central location and handy for buses and walks, starting from the door. 599 open topped bus is a great service. We didn't use our car till we went home. Co-op handy for self catering. Sam Read's is a fabulous bookshop. I could have spent hours in there!! Lots of good cafes. Grasmere and the Lake District as beautiful as ever. I would return.

"Great location in the centre of Grasmere."
Apartment was very comfortable with everything we needed. Check in and out was very straightforward and we would definitely book again.
-
"Beautiful comfy cosy flat in the heart of Grasmere."
Highly recommend. We will be back :)
-
"Location was great, right in the middle of Grasmere."
Bus stop to Ambleside/Windermere, parking space and Co-op were just around the corner. Lots of 2-3hour walks from the doorstep. Host and staff at the Bakery downstairs were very accommodating for any questions. Great coffee and breakfasts, and pizzas on Friday and Saturday. Flat had everything you need, comfy beds, comfy sofas, big TV. Didn't need to strip the beds. 10/10, would recommend.

"Very well appointed property in the centre of the village."
The was very friendly and couldn't do enough after being stuck in the heavy snow. The staff in cafe below were extremely friendly and the food in there was lovely.
-
"Excellent property which was very warm and cosy."
We were concerned about previous comments on parking but there was ample room for our Kuga. Will be returning again
-
"Well placed in centre of Grasmere."
Lovely cottage overall but we did think the cleaning was not up to standard, particularly given other reviews. The apartment smelt very sweaty, cushion covers we think to blame. Kitchen cupboard lips very crumby and spilt tomato sauce in groove. Oven spotless !! We were slightly amused by very high beds and toilet as we are short people

"Overall excellent: great location in the village, and a clean and comfortable vacation property."
-
"An amazing flat right in the centre of Grasmere."
Super comfy, great location and will definitely stay again.
-
"A washing machine would be really useful and electric fan"
-
"The property was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay very much."
It would have been useful to have a hairdryer but that is a small detail. If I had known I would have packed one. The property was very well equipped and I would be happy to return.
-
"It will be great if there’s a washing machine"
-
"Everything was great, the only issue we had was ,the parking direction was not very clear ,other than that everything was perfect , I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all."
We will definitely be back. Thank you again
-
"Excellent accommodation, the best we have found in Grasmere."
Very up-to-date and comfortable, right in the centre of the village. The parking space was small and only suitable for a small or medium size car, but we expected that from previous reviews. Other than that, as good as it could be.
-
"Beautiful apartment and very well situated in Gramere."
Well equipped and very comfortable. Beds were comfortable and apartment quiet and spacious. No complaints at all. Hope to return.
-

-
"A lovely comfortable apartment in a wonderful location."
The apartment is extremely well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. Without doubt the best apartment we have stayed at. We will definitely be returning.

"A fabulous property right in the heart of Grasmere village."
It was very easy to find, as was the parking space, due to the excellent instructions given. The property is equipped with everything that you might need if you wanted to fully self cater but there are also many amazing eateries in the village, not least the cafe below the property, We would definitely recommend this accommodation and a.lthough there were only two of us, it is certainly spacious enough for 4

"This was a great apartment."
Spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds and sofas, top location. Kitchen facilities fantastic, not missing anything. The car parking space was good although a bit of a walk with heavy luggage so needed to temporarily park roadside to unpack before parking car. Recommended property

"The flat is lovely and very comfortable."
It is well situated in the heart of Grasmere. However, we had issues with parking. The information said that parking was "just round the corner". In fact, it was five minutes walk away and too far to carry luggage. To unload the car, we stopped in a courtyard behind the flat. We were told by the owner that we were not allowed to park there and that we should stop on the road on a yellow line. We unloaded the car and then went to find the parking place. The instructions said we would find two garages and to park at the second one. It was getting dark and we could not find the garages so we had to park in a public parking area for the night. We found the garages the next morning and parked at the second one. However, the space was not generous and we managed to just fit in our Honda Civic. A bigger car would have been a problem. The flat was very comfortable and very pleasant but there were no instructions for the heating, dish washer etc. There was a large dish washer but no washing machine. The lack of information was annoying. We enjoyed our holiday but it could have been better.

"Great apartment in a great location."
Clearly newly refurbished and modernised. Very comfortable but best of all very central for Grasmere and the Lakes in general. New cafe downstairs does great food and drinks and is clearly popular and opening times meant we weren't disturbed in the least. Will definitely go back.

"Beautiful apartment, 2 very good size rooms and good size sitting room."
Kitchen was very well equipped. Apartment is in very central location with lots of great shops and cafes nearby.
-
"The property was fine but Sykes listed a washer/dryer."
There wasn’t one in the flat. With two young children this was a problem.
-
"Overall we had an excellent holiday in Baker's Loft however, we have two comments to make."
The most important is that the information given by Sykes Cottages about car parking is inaccurate and misleading. There is no on-street parking and no parking permit is provided. This should be deleted from your listing. Secondly, although generally the equipment was excellent we were concerned that there were no table mats (only coasters) to protect the dining table. Also there were no serving spoons (although there were many soup and dessert spoons!)
Thank you for your feedback. There is a designated parking space for the property, we apologise if the instructions were not clear - we have revisited them and made them more accurate. We have made a note of the lack of table mats and serving spoons and will make sure this is rectified. We are glad that you had an excellent holiday and hope that you will visit us again soon. "The apartment is centrally located in Grasmere with many amenities: cafes, restaurants, co-op, pubs and more."
A lovely well equipped apartment, very comfortable and it even has a parking space. We were able to access walks from the apartment and also used the car to reach other lakes and fells. I would thoroughly recommend the accommodation. We had a great time.
