Owners were very friendly and accommodating.

Greeted us on arrival and explained all areas of the house. Wood and kindling were provided for the log burner. House was immaculate and had all the necessaries for our cooking needs. Wonderful place in a magic location, can’t recommend this place enough.

The property has scenic splendour is comfortable, well furnished and has the additional assets of hot-tub, bar-b--que, fire pit etc.

The layout is carefully planned and makes for easy living. A minor irritant is a problem with ground source heating in two of the bedrooms for heating purposes. Albeit prompt remedial attention from the owner was effective and sorted out. A bigger issue is pricing in the Lake District which is becoming very very expensive. i.e. 5 welsh rarebits and coffees circa £90--00 in a Keswick.Cafe. National Trust admission and car park charges over circa £100,00 in one outlet, they are heading for oblivion at this rate

We loved our stay at The Old Water Mill.

The rooms were comfortable, it had everything you could need, it was beautifully decorated and lovely and clean. The outside was lovely being by the river and we loved the added bonus of a hot tub and fire pit. We also loved the fact that it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere but had the convenience of Kendal a short drive away.
