  • "We were very impressed with the cottage which was ideally placed for us to explore the local area both on foot and on bicycles and within a few minutes drive of both the coast and the Yorkshire Dales National Park."

The cottage was very well equipped with all the facilites we needed, especially the high speed broadband and TV connected to streaming facilities such as Netflix. Several excellent pub restaurants are within 2 or 3 miles of the cottage.

  • "A lovely,spotlessly clean cottage in a peaceful location."

The bed was comfy and the shower good. Communication was good and not excessive. Tea,coffee, milk and a couple of treats was welcoming. Bird feeders were lovely especially the visits of 3 woodpeckers. My only small criticism is the front and back outside spaces could do with a bit of a gardening to match the high standards in the house.

  • "Hi We had a lovely time, but there were a lot of problems."

The owners were lovely right from the start, but persistent calls whilst we were on our break were a bit much. There was no welcome pack We get up at 5 am and the cottage was freezing cold,it was minus 2 most mornings, and were in late 60s with arthiritis and the cold makes it worse.the heating only came on around 7 am very low and only stayed on minimally. The heating and hot water are controlled remotely by owners so we had no control of those. The bathroom floor is lethal with the fluffy mat they supplied and I slid across the floor, this could also be because there is only 1 grabrail, the bath was slippery, with no grab rails inside bath to feel secure in shower. The oven was filthy, and the meat tray inside was rancid with caked on grease,it took 4 attempts in dishwasher to get it clean. The tea towels too were dirty, the bath towels stiff, but not a problem as we take our own I have a cleaner myself, and if she cleaned this badly she would be sacked. There was dust everywhere, and the blinds etc were full of dust and grime There was a sheet far too small on bed and the underblanket didn't stay secure due to this, hence sleepless nights. The bed very low and the mattress wasn't great as we kept rolling into middle. When we lifted mattress to try to secure sheet under the mattress we found a lot of used dirty tissues!!!. Very scary,as who knows what germs were left,as we're both clinically vulnerable. The "cleaner" was not up to job

We are pleased you had a lovely time at our cottage. Thank you for bringing the minor issues to our attention, these are currently being addressed. The heating is set on a comfortable schedule which can be adjusted anytime up and down by the controller in the hall, as explained in the information folder in the cottage. The persistent (two) phone calls were to try and help you with the heating, but these weren't answered. If we had been able to speak to you during your stay we could have easily addressed some of your problems. Property Owner

Good parking facilities, well equipped and for a small cottage, quite spacious. Unfortunately the tin opener didn't work./ A normal tin opener would be preferable to those that open the tin on the side. Also a casserole dish with a lid would be useful. Other than that it was perfect.

A warm and welcoming interior that is decked out to feel as if it’s a home away from home. The photo’s don’t necessarily do the cottage justice. The kitchen has everything you would need, the lounge has lovely cosy seats, throws and Netflix on hand to escape. Under heated floor and a fire should you need the heat to take the edge of after being outside all day and a memory foam comfortable bed to sleep on. On the patio to the rear of the patio hangs a bird feeder, which can be watched from the armchairs in the lounge, losing sense of time watching the many birds visit. Such a good location being not far from ingleton and the waterfall walk and the base of Ingleborough. We visited Wensleydale, Skipton and Malham Cove which are all beautiful places close by.
