Puddleduck was the perfect base for our getaway to the Lakes.

The cottage had everything we could have needed and was very well thought through. From the kitchen equipment to the books and maps about the Lakes, it wasn’t missing anything and made our time there so easy. The views from the living room were lovely, perfect to watch the wildlife from.

Great little apartment and perfect location.

It was comfortable, well furnished and warm. Lovely bathroom with a lovely big towel rail, much needed after a soggy walk or two. Just a few small comments:- The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed but the drawers in the kitchen trap your fingers when you close them, perhaps a change to a less painful handle? The selection of utensils was also great, which is not always the case, but, please sharpen the knives or provide a sharpener that works. Lovely clean and comfortable beds and linen, but please invest in some non lumpy pillows.

This was a really really lovely place but I did not realize how long of a walk it would be for an 85 year old with limited mobility to get to.

It was ground floor with a nice walk in shower and if you are physically able, then this would be perfect. I wish there would have been more detail showing what the walkway and steps were like to get to the front door. Amazing view, had everything we needed, it was just a struggle to get to the front door for my Mum and Auntie.
