  • "We booked to stay 3 nights for a family birthday celebration."

There were 15 of us and the accommodation setup couldn’t have been better for us! Our own en-suites and comfortable hotel style rooms was ideal and the size of the seating area and kitchen fantastic! Everyone loved the huge tv with Sky too! Loads of glasses cups and plates. The hot tub and sauna were a highlight of our stay for everyone from age 60 plus down to age 5! We had forgotten to take bin bags with us but the restaurant downstairs helped us out with that. We ate a lovely breakfast in the restaurant. We also booked a birthday meal… we found the specials and home cooked pies to be the most enjoyable. Special mention to the cake maker who baked us a gorgeous sponge cake which was brought out to sing happy birthday to my husband. It was delicious. We also ordered pizzas which were brought to our accommodation on our final night. Great stay, easy and relaxing would recommend to any group.

  • "We weren’t 100% sure if we had just the jacuzzi area or the garden bit too before we got there."

So if that was more clear that would be better! And if the oven had instructions of how to use as it took us a while to get it on! Other than that it was a lovely clean and nice play to stay!!

  • "The property was very well maintained and appointed, However a coffee maker or cafetière would have been much appreciated!"

Also there was ample space to BBQ but no BBQ provided. We would come back but would bring a cafetière!! Also the tin opener is on its last legs and needs replaced! We had no issues with the beautiful Smeg oven but had 2 engineers in our group!!

  • "I stayed with 16 friends and we had a brilliant time."

There is a great seating area if the weather is good and the hot tub is an added bonus to the outside area. The rooms are very clean and well equipped and the seating area was large enough to accommodate us all. The bistro is ideal for meals or drinks if eating out is preferred. It is easy to find and there is ample parking. I would definitely recommend this property to others.

  • "The facilities, decor and finishing touches are impressive, except for the cooker/grill."

We were a party of 11(3 practical accountants, 4 university graduates, 2 radiographers and an engineer). The cooker needs an oven expert and genius to operate it. No manual, we tried for 40 minutes to operate the oven. No success! We phoned the number given for help and were told to use google for the instructions. Very helpful! We eventually managed to work the oven but had no success with the grill. Sorry to go on about it but it needs sorting. We ate out more than we normally would which was extra expense. Hot tub and sauna great. Tv also great. Beds very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay but sort out that cooker. If you are paying a lot of money, everything should work with ease, no hassle required.

  • "The facilities were generally very good."

However there were some shortcomings and the customer service when we asked for help was appalling. We arranged to have pizzas on the first evening only to be told there was now, no pizza oven . I was in contact on the day we left and was not told this information. We could not use the oven and there were no manuals on hand. This was a murder weekend with 10 seasoned woman who have stayed all over the UK. There were only bath towels available in each room, no hand towels and one toilet roll per bathroom. There was not a full set of glasses, no prosecco glasses. They appeared to be left over from the eatery downstairs? It appeared that this may have been the idea that we use the facilities downstairs as they were quick to try and book us in immediately on arrival. I understood this to be a self catering booking perhaps they did not. When we called the designated number Saturday evening after trying to use the Smeg oven for an hour, we were told that the designated gentleman was 'not giving his Saturday afternoon up, to come to help us, and we should try use google'. We obviously did this and eventually got the oven working. Manuals would of course have been the correct way to manage the white goods in this property. This was reported to the owner on Sunday, who apologised but we have been left with a negative view of the way it is managed.

  • "We had a fabulous time at the Red Well Inn."

We were a group of 17 ladies ranging in ages from 18-76. The bedrooms with en suite were lovely with powerful showers. All having en suites was great in the morning. The large lounge/diner/kitchen area was great for socialising. We didn’t use the sauna but the jacuzzi was well used. The outside area would have been good if it had been a little warmer. I can’t recommend this place enough.

  • "Great 3 night stay with 4 generations of my family."

17 people in total and a dog. Facilities are great I think everything has been thought about from wireless speaker to selection of games. Outside space is great with a hot tub and sauna. Can’t think of anything negative. For the price I would definitely book again. 5 ⭐️

  • "We’ve just come back from the most amazing weekend!"

Unreal property, fantastic facilities with beautiful views. Super clean, bright and airy rooms. Enjoyed the stories behind some of the room names. There is a lovely outdoor area we wasn’t expecting which would be perfect in the summer. We loved our stay that much we’ve already discussed coming back for a visit! Thank you so much for our stay.

  • "Lovely place , hot tub fab but no-one came to check it or add chemicals so went a bit cloudy and bubbly."

Love the cooker !! Although had to work out how to work it lol. Beds very comfy, everyone slept well . Knives need sharpening in kitchen or put a sharpener in the drawer, we self catered completely so needed good sharp knives . Love the idea of all the cuddly blankets in the living room , they were well utilised in the evenings.

Open kitchen, lounge and dining area was fabulous for partying, all bedrooms en suite, spacious and spotless. Private hot tub and sauna in enclosed garden area and the Saddles cafe is on site for breakfasts, lunch and private dining which we did one night and couldn’t fault it. I would highly recommend The Red Well and look forward to booking my next stay here.

  • "Hidden gem!"

We had an amazing stay at the redwell country inn. The place was huge, the entertainment area was so spacious and the bedrooms each had their own en suite. The outdoor area was great, everyone enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. There was even a boom box so we didn’t need to take our own speaker! We had the private dining experience downstairs in the cafe area which was phenomenal, 5 stars from everyone. The owner was happy to help if we need anything, we couldn’t of asked for anything more. We will be returning, thank you!
