"Excellent base for exploring the area."
Very comfortable and quiet. Beautifully renovated barn.

"Would definitely recommend this cottage to friends, a real credit to the owners."
it has great views to pendle hill, and a lovely patio area too. 5 min walk into the village, with 3 pubs. great walks from the property and overall a really nice comfy and warm place. a bonus was the bird feeders and geese having a paddle in the stream in the morning
-
"The owners were very accommodating and the property was spotlessly clean and well kitted out."
Lovely location and views and very peaceful.
-
"Perfect for us two."
Great location near a very picturesque village and some nice pub/restaurants. Plenty to see and do.
-
"The cottage was immaculate with everything we needed."
Jean & Graham were very welcoming. Our highlights were the local walks and the birds in the garden. We recommend a visit to the brewery in Clitheroe.
-

-
"This is excellent accommodation in a beautiful setting."
It is very well equipped with everything being of a high standard. Location is rural and quiet with the patio having a view of Pendle Hill, yet the cottage being located close to the village of Waddington and the shops of Clitheroe. Safe bike storage is available. We couldn't fault anything. 5*

"It was delightful to stay at Sunnybrook Cottage for the week."
It was extremely comfortable and equipped with everything you would need and more. I wanted to get away to a quiet, peaceful place for the week, and could not have chosen a better place. This place is a Hidden Gem with beautiful surroundings, complete with a stream and private patio. The little village was was perfect, surrounded with beautiful walks and scenery. The Owners Jean and Graham were so lovely and helpful, and I would highly recommend Sunnybrook Cottage.

"First class accommodation and a great welcome from Jean and Graham."
Setting is wonderful for watching wildlife while the area was ideal to explore by bicycles.
-
"A beautiful beautiful property, we felt so comfortable here."
Gorgeous bathroom and shower, great wood burner fire and comfortable armchairs. Will definitely be back!

"We have been booking cottages for over 30 yrs now and this one is one of the nicest cottages we've been to."
The cleanliness is second to none. Usually I take my anti-bacterial wipes, rubber gloves etc and clean everything before I put my things away. I'm especially particular about the cutlery drawer, plates, cups and glasses and wash everything before I use it but I didn't have to do that here. It is a small place but big enough for 2 people with everything provided that you may need and of very good quality. The place is very cosy and very warm, we only used the burner once because it was there and it was snowing. The bathroom is small but adequate and modern with a very good modern shower. The cottage is on an enbankment with a stream at the bottom which you can see from the window. The view is amazing and we particularly enjoyed watching all kind of birds coming to feed ( we even bought some more nuts for them as they're so fast at eating them ). There are 5 lovely geese living there and we enjoyed watching them grooming themselves every morning. I can see that this could be a fabulous place to be in summer, you can eat outside on the patio and enjoy the view. The owners live next door but are unobtrusive but there if you need them. Jean was very helpful when I forgot my book and sent it to me. All in all a very nice place to stay and we hope to come back some day.

"Sunnybrook Cottage is very neat and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, I can't think of anything that could improve it and our host made us feel at home."
-
"Had a lovely stay, cottage was very clean, comfortable and warm."
Facilities were very high standard, kitchen very good, shower always hot, cottage was very warm indeed ( never needed to light the fire). WiFi good standard, I took my own Firestick and was able to stream Netflix and Prime without issue. Owners were very friendly and welcoming, but also respected your privacy, there if you need them, but they also left you alone. Biggest criticism, could do with a bigger more visible sign on entrance to drive for first (second and third) time of arrival.

"We spent a happy week at Sunnybrook Cottage in early October 2023."
The owners checked on us the evening we arrived to ensure that all was in order. We stayed there to attend a nearby family wedding but found it a comfortable base and ideal for exploring Clitheroe, Skipton, the surrounding villages and the Forest of Bowland. We drove a circular route around Pendle Hill which provided picturesque stopping off points. There were many good pubs to eat in locally. Although the accommodation was small, the bedroom being separated from the living area by a curtain, it was adequate for the holiday. Would certainly recommend.
-
"An excellent conversion from a small milking byre [the owner's Dad used to milk his four cows here!"
] into a snug cottage for two. The owner also gave us the use of a lockable shed to store our bicycles. The owners shared their laundry room including tumble-dryer. We never ran out of hot water. Could not fault Sunnybrook Cottage on cleanliness - impeccable; equipment - everything first-rate, from bed to comfy armchairs.
-
"Lovely stay in a lovely part of the country."
Really cosy little cottage with patio. As a bird watcher, the sight of woodpecker and nuthatch feeding on the well appointed nut feeders was an added bonus. Definitely come again.
-
"I absolutely loved the cottage."
It was very inviting. The cottage is situated on an embankment overlooking a fast flowing brook.Various types of birds visited the feeding station by the side of the building and cows were grazing in the field nearby. Cottage amenities were outstanding and there was everything that you needed to enjoy your stay. Thankyou Jean and Graham for ensuring that my stay was perfect.Thamkyou geese for my daily alarm call.I will be back! Just one pointer....can you please install a grab rail in the shower for safety reasons. It would make life easier for people with some disabilities. Thankyou guys xx.
-
"Beautiful cottage a short walk from a lovely village with 3 pubs to choose from, several supermarkets within a 5 min drive or there was a local bus."
The cottage had everything thing you needed and was very comfortable, lovely to sit and watch the wildlife out of the window. Brilliant place to use as a base loads of great walks within a 30 min drive. Would recommend a stay to anyone if we are going back to the area we would definitely book again
-

"The property is of the highest standard."
Spotlessly clean and everything you need for a very comfortable stay. It was lovely chatting to Jean & Graham and they gave us some valuable information about the surrounding area to make our stay even better. Perfect holiday destination which we thoroughly enjoyed.
-
"The cottage was very small but perfectly formed with lots of features that made good use of the space."
Jean and Gordon friendly and helpful. The location is great for walking both from the door and from a short drive away. Local pubs good.

Our hosts were friendly, very accommodating and discreet. A perfect spot for a restful holiday with plenty of options for hiking or discovering the local towns and villages.
-
"We really enjoyed our stay in Sunnybrook Cottage."
It is a little gem and was better than we had anticipated. Our hosts were excellent, there but unobtrusive and have a wonderful place. The welcome pack was great and the view of Pendle Hill splendid. This was our first visit to the area and that was a revelation too, quite beautiful and scenic. Thank you Jean for your reccommendations. All in all a great stay in a truly 5* property.
-
"The property was immaculate, comfortable and had the feel of a 5 star hotel with all the luxury touches."
The owners had gone above and beyond to make the stay a total pleasure, so much that I didn’t want to leave. The area is truly beautiful with lots to see and do. I would definitely visit again, hopefully soon. Thank you Jean and Graham
-

Immaculately clean and maintained. Will definitely be returning.
-
"Lovely position in a quiet lane, views over the valley down to clitheroe."

-
"Very clean, stylish, well equipped cottage."
Perfect for two people.
-
"This is a fabulous cottage."
The owners have thought of everything, even things we didn’t realise we’d need! It is beautifully done with a VERY comfortable bed, lovely shower and a cosy log burner. We could not fault it and can’t wait to stay again.
-
"Sunnybrook Cottage is perfect for a couple's retreat away from it all, yet within 400yds of the village pubs and amenities."
The views around were lovely and it was fun watching the local birds making the most of the feeders - including a woodpecker! The cottage is beautifully decorated and equipped with each nook and cranny thoughtfully utilised to great effect. It was spotlessly clean, the decorations tasteful and the bathroom sleek and modern. We had a lovely 3 night stay. Jean was welcoming and had thoughtfully left us milk and mince pies. We had no need to use the wood burner; the radiators kept us warm and the lovely touch of a Christmas tree and decorations gave the cottage a seasonal and cosy feel. We are definitely thinking about a return in the summer, when the large patio area would come into its own.
-
"An immaculate property and well equipped."
Comfortable bed and a cosy log fire.
-
"Sunnybrook Cottage is a very comfortable, well equipped holiday home."
It is conveniently placed near to Clitheroe with it's good variety of shops. The beautiful area of the Forest of Bowland is just a short drive away.
-
"Fantastic cottage so so clean had everything you could need or wish for"
-
"We really enjoyed the surroundings of the garden and the way wild life was encouraged by the owners."
-
"An excellent location and place to stay."
Can thoroughly recommend. Sykes support was also very good in every respect.
-
"The cottage was very well equipped and immaculate."
Lots of wildlife to watch from the patio. The surrounding area is beautiful with lots to see. Leaflets were provided by owners for walking trips. Very usefull. Would definitely go back again.
-
"Sunnybrook is just a perfect location for a relaxing break, Jean and Graham are fantastic hosts and have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable."
The property is immaculate.
-
"For us it was really one of best accomodation we ever had in uk."
Room was very beautiful clean bed very comfortable and nice view. Definitely will came back!
-
"We greatly enjoyed staying at Sunnybrook Cottage which, is small but perfectly formed!"
It's ideal for a couple and, in fact, rather Tardis-like in feeling much larger inside than it appears from outside. It's comfortable, stylish and beautifully designed, with an open-plan living/sleeping/cooking area and a small but well-equipped bathroom at one end with an excellent walk-in shower. There's also a spacious terrace with a lovely view of Pendle Hill. Jean and Graham, who live in the adjacent house, were fantastic hosts - kind and attentive while also thoughtful about respecting our privacy. The cottage is well positioned, just outside the beautiful village of Waddington and only a short drive from Clitheroe. One thing to bear in mind is that the road from the village to the cottage is quite busy, so you need to take special care when undertaking the short walk back home from the pub after dark! All in all we had a wonderful stay and would warmly recommend this property.
-
"Sunnybrook is such a wonderful place to stay, this is our second visit and the owners have created such a perfect little haven with great attention to detail, the property is immaculate and fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable break."
Highly recommended.
-
"Tiny but perfect cottage for a short break."
Has everything needed and done to a good standard. Minor issue - it is a little tricky to find if coming from the north as the small sign is only visible coming from the south. I'd happily stay again.
-
"The walk back along the dark country road in winter was difficult after being in Waddington for a meal"
-
"Calm,comfort,countryside."
-
"The cottage is superbly designed, and despite being a smallish space, has everything one could need."
We were there in winter and it was very cosy, but I'm sure the private outside seating area would make it equally attractive in warmer weather. The setting is beautiful and the hosts accommodating. I would very much recommend it.
-
"The Cottage was impeccable, it had been restored to a high standard and everything felt quite luxurious."
As well as Central Heating, there was a lovely and toastie wood burning stove. In fact, despite the awful weather, we turned the heating off and opened windows. You will notice the pleasant babble of the brook, at night, accompanied by the hooting of owls. The 3 pubs in Waddington were every bit as good as advertised. We preferred the "Lower Buck" with open fires and friendly locals. All had good beer and good food. There is fantastic walking country, straight from the door step and if you use the car, you are only minutes from Pendle Hill or the Trough of Bowland. The Owners, Graham and Jean, were very pleasant and helpful.
-
"Fabulous location , close to 3 lovely pubs."
Fabulous views , Pendle Hill brilliant. Fabulous "cow shed". 5 star luxury in idyllic setting, getting away from routine. Owners Jean and Graham on hand with well informed places to visit, and great conversationalists, A big thanks from Barry and Gill.
-

"The accommodation was brilliant, everything we wanted and within walking distance of Waddington and Clitheroe."
perfect place for a retreat or some time to yourselves.
-
"A small, cosy property which has been very carefully planned and thought through."
Fittings and furnishings were to a high standard. Great to have an outside patio space to sit and also tea, coffee, milk available on arrival. Great local advice provided personally by the owners but also available in the property.
-
"Although the cottage is suitable for disabled persons the area it is located you cant safely walk or take an invalid scooter into the village of Waddington as there is no footpath."
-
"Sunnybrook cottage is an old farm building which has been expertly converted to the highest specifications."
It offers a great degree of comfort and is comprehensively equipped with everything the short-stay or longer stay holidaymaker could possibly need. The cottage is ideally situated on the edge of the Forest of Bowland and within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales. Anyone staying at Sunnybrook will almost certainly want to make a return visit.
-

Excellent hosts. Highly recommended!

It was really well designed to give as much room as possible. Very comfortable king size bed. The bathroom was nice and the shower fantastic. Plenty of room in the cottage for 2. Would definitely return.

-
"Hosts were outstanding & sunnybrook cottage was out of this world."
The old cow barn has been renuvated to an excellent standard with an amazing mix of modern comforts & country chic. Within walking distance of 3 great pubs will be rebooking without a doubt. Sykes were also amazing with web chat service for a query I had
-
"Had a wonderful week at Sunnybrook cottage, it was immaculate, couldn't have wished for a more perfect place to stay, Graham and Jean were so helpful when needed but unobtrusive, which was brilliant."
