  • "A great family home that three generations enjoyed ."

Walks from the door and also a friendly family pub on this quiet well looked after site .

Thank you for your fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear that three generations of your family enjoyed their time at our family home. It's wonderful to know that you were able to take advantage of the walks right from our doorstep and that you found the nearby family pub to be a friendly and welcoming spot. Thank you for choosing to stay with us, and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming your family back for more memorable experiences in the future! Property Owner

  • "We were notified shortly before our stay that the Jaccuzzi bath was not working, a couple of days before we were told that the pool would not be open until 4 days into our stay and 2 days before we were told that the fridge was not working, a small replacement one would be there until the new one was delivered 4 days later, I pointed out that very small fridge would not accommodate the grocery delivery that was comming on our arrival and I was assured it was not a very small one, unfortunately it was very small."

I went to the reception to report this and was told that there was no other fridge available on the whole site, she did the very best she could to find one, I cannot believe that a company of this size would not have back up equipment on site. The young lady did offer to store some of our fridge items in the office fridge but this obviously was not practical. this was a very stressful start to our holiday even though the young lady Sky, was very apologetic and did everything she could to help us.

  • "Had an excellent weeks stay."

Cottage was a really great size for three couples and an 18month old. Outside space was really good especially for the toddler. Helped that the weather was fantastic and the garden was well used. All rooms were clean and tidy I have nothing negative to say about that. Limited food in the on-site pub when we all went ( light bites only ) but that’s a minor issue.

We are so pleased to hear you had a fantastic stay at Bowland Fell Holiday Park. We hope to see you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "House was comfortable and well presented."

Beds were very comfortable. Lots of storage space. Feel that the kitchen lacked some basic equipment such as a potato peeler. Having no cleaning spray, cleaning cloths etc, spare black bags meant we had to buy some. Spa Bath didn't work. Having the conservatory was a nice place to sit what ever the weather and the children enjoyed the games room, having a shower room off of there was useful. Large fridge freezer and second freezer. Swimming pool gets booked up so book early. Play areas good. Need to bring your own teatowels, oven gloves, cleaning clothes, dishwasher tablets and washing powder. Some small bottles of shower gel etc provided. It was a very relaxing and quiet place to stay, would recommend.

Wish the pub was open a little more but lots of places a short drive away. Enjoyed our stay.

  • "Everything about the house was perfect apart from the fact that the kitchen was missing a few things I would expect to see (eg a vegetable peeler and cork screw) and a welcome pack with a pint of milk and a few teabags would also have been nice!"

About the location

TOSSIDE

Settle 6 miles; Clitheroe 12 miles; Skipton 15 miles.

Tosside is a small, attractive Yorkshire Dales village set between the Forest of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales, six miles from Settle, and fifteen miles from Skipton, popularly known as The Gateway to the Dales. Historically part of Yorkshire, following boundary changes in the 1970s, the village now straddles two counties, with the Eastern part of the village in Yorkshire, and the Western part in Lancashire! The village is home to a local pub, a church and a community centre. To the north, the landscape rises to the fells, moors and picturesque valleys of the Dales, while to the south are the wetlands of the Ribble Valley, which in turn, sweep upward to the magnificent wilderness of Bowland, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Nearby Settle is a bustling market town with a weekly market, the centre being dominated by the Shambles, an historic 3-storey building with shops on two levels and houses above, or for a great day out, travel on the renowned Settle-Carlisle Railway line, which crosses some of the most beautiful and inspiring upland scenery in the country. Venture to Clitheroe, a busy market town full of lively bars and restaurants, friendly pubs, and a castle!
