"Loved the cottage, the location, and the lovely neighbours who shared good advice on where to go & what to do."
Cooking & bathroom facilities were spot on. Only used the master bedroom, but the single room looked nice. TV & WiFi easy to use & worked well. Parking was no problem: there was always a space in the parking area opposite Regent Street, regardless of the time of day. Blazing sunshine when we were there, so Freddie the Doodle had a ball walking & swimming along the River Ribble, around the Quarry and splashing in the stream in the village. We took the opportunity to try out the three local pubs - all very good, but Lower Buck had best prices, beer & atmosphere for us.

"Felt like it was dirty and uncleaned."
Cutlery wasn't the cleanest, lot of unnecessary stuff in the cupboards leaving it feeling cluttered. Not the easiest of places to get to

"Lovely old beamed cottage."
Very quirky, had a lovely couple days. Wood burner makes it that bit extra special. Set in the very heart of Waddington, a beautiful small village with a superb old traditional pub "Lower buck" which I absolutely recommend a must go! The cottage was quite and had all we needed. There are some areas that could do with a little tidying up and repainted. But that does not take away the lovely charm of this old period cottage. Would definitely book this again in the future.

"Loved my stay at this pretty little cottage."
It’s old but the owners have sympathetically modernised it. Excellent double bedroom and single bedroom in the attic. Good sized bathroom with an excellent shower.
Good sized living room with log burning fire. We furnished also.
The kitchen dining room is in an extension/ conservatory. Again we’ll equipped with everything you would need. Location is quiet in a car free street. Local parking is available and I never had any trouble finding a space.
Three excellent pubs within a few minutes walk and Clitheroe a ten minute drive .
Local walks in abundance and the opportunity to go further afield if you need.

"The cottage is fine and we enjoyed our stay but a front door with peeling paint doesn't make a good first impression, nor do big flakes of paint hanging off the bathroom ceiling and the yard is full of weeds."
So comfortable and clean, but slightly tatty. Having said that, we'd stay again, although avoid booking via Sykes who lost the original payment, said they hadn't received it, made me pay again and get into a big palaver with the bank – and then refunded the original payment…

"Cottage was very clean and comfortable, well equipped."
Problem with boiler when we arrived swiftly rectified by owner sending someone to fix within the hour, after which we were nice and warm. Only issue is parking, but always found somewhere nearby. Had enjoyable stay, plenty of good walking in the area, which is still little visited , unspoilt and peaceful (so long as you enjoy bog trotting!)

"Lovely situated cottage in the heart of one of the Ribble Valleys most picturesque villages."
Slight downsize is the parking but once you have worked this out, its no problem whatsoever. Ideal for walkers..... dog friendly... three excellent local pubs with a variety of styles and food and a post office only a few yards away. Overall an excellent stay.

The lovely Yorkshire towns of Skipton and Settle are very accessible. Close-by, the town of Clitheroe offers a good range of independent shops and four supermarkets.
This was our second visit which is a good indication that we like the property

"This was a small cottage, bit dark and in need of redecoration in parts."
It was in a perfect location for our needs. Walked into Clitheroe a couple of times. 3 local pubs, we ate in the Lower Buck and the Waddinton Arms and recommended them both. The post office only opens for a couple of hours a day and does not have milk or bread. We parked at the back of the Higher Buck.

"Cottage comfortable ."
Kitchen needs a washing up bowl as sink very hard, some wine glasses had been cracked. We bought a bowl to use. Apart from that very good. Parking not really a problem but carrying luggage a bit difficult when you are getting old.

"The property was fab."
Really comfortable and tastefully decorated. It was in the perfect location down a cute little street but in the heart of a village with one pub immediately to the left and one to the right. It was also only approx. a 7 minute drive to the centre of Clitheroe, and 45 mins to Ingleton Waterfalls Trail which is well worth a venture out. Neighbours were all so friendly. The owners were kind enough to leave milk in the fridge and little touches such as biscuits and sweets on the side in the kitchen. Towels were of such good quality and the beds really comfy. Would definitely return/recommend. Thanks for a great stay.

"The stairs leading up to the 2nd bedroom are very steep."
The listing should say not toddler friendly bedroom as my daughter ended up sleeping with me the whole time.
Also the yard at the back needs some attention.
Very dirty and not very nice to sit out in.
Just needs to made visitor friendly and inviting.

"Our only disappointment was the lack of any kind of information folder at the property."
We were unable to use the wood burning fire as we didn't know what to do. We managed to work everything else out and found the local amenities off our own back.
Wonderful cosy cottage though in an idyllic location. We definitely plan to return.

There is tons to do in the area, we want to come back to the area next year. The cottage was lovely, and I can highly recommend it. The area is beautiful, with a lot of nice towns nearby.

"The cottage is lovely!"
Infact, I don't think the pictures do it justice. We loved the big shower as my partner is a tall man and struggles to move in the small ones. Beds were really comfy too. The owners have done a brill job in stocking the house up with useful items. Even had a clothes horse which was great with a messy 10 month old. Only other thing which would have made our stay easier would have been a fire surround as our little boy was way too interested in it for his own good. We will definately be back!
