Buttermere is a bright and beautifully designed glamping cabin tucked away in the peaceful village of Tewitfield, offering a warm welcome to couples, small families, or friends looking for an easy countryside break.

From the moment you step inside, you’ll find everything set up for a carefree stay, with thoughtful touches and modern conveniences that make this little hideaway feel instantly inviting.

The open-plan layout is surprisingly spacious, giving you room to settle in and make yourself at home.

There’s a double bed waiting to sink into at the end of the day.

A Smart TV with Netflix for entertainment means lazy evenings, film nights, or catching up on your favourite shows are all on the cards.

The cabin’s kitchen area is fully equipped for simple holiday cooking, complete with an induction hob, combi microwave/oven, fridge, kettle, toaster, and all your essential utensils and cookware.

Whether you’re whipping up breakfast or enjoying a relaxed supper indoors, everything is to hand.

A private bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink brings the convenience of home to your glamping retreat, while fresh bed linen, pillows, duvets, and towels are all provided, so you can unpack, unwind, and start enjoying your stay straight away.

Outside your pod, you have a lawn area with a picnic bench to enjoy a morning drink whilst the birds chirp away or an evening toast to the stars in the night sky.

TEWITFIELD

Carnforth 3 miles; Kendal 14 miles; Windermere 19 miles.

The picturesque hamlet of Tewitfield is settled in Lancashire beside the Lancashire Canal. Stroll along the Tewitfield Canal Locks for scenic views of the countryside, ideal for avid walkers and cyclists. The village is home to a marina, where you will find barges and boats and across the road is an excellent farm shop selling local produce and hosting crafts. You can enjoy dining at a County Inn, Longlands Hotel with a restaurant serving traditional meals. Have some family fun at Crazy Golf @ Greenlands and enjoy exploring the surrounding area, with Pike Lake for a peaceful afternoon and Cinderbarrow Miniature Railway slightly further afield. Jump in the car and visit the market town of Carnforth for a wide selection eateries and specialty shops for a souvenir to remember your holiday by. Steeped in history is the bustling town of Kendal, where you can explore a Georgian Manor, the 12th century ruins of Kendal Castle and unveil the past at the museum.
