  • "Great cottage, clean and welcoming."

..plenty of walks from the doorstep for all the walkers and fog lovers...

  • "Lovely, comfortable and clean cottage which is more than enough equip for your stay."

Location is brilliant for travelling around to other places and such a picturesque village. Really enjoyed our stay and would return.

  • "Great place."

Accurately described. Loved all the special touches especially dog bed, bags, torches and even spare batteries. Amazing space. Almost everything you could wish for and more. If I could have added to it would maybe have renovated with a second separate toilet in mind. We had two small dogs and hose outside was useful for muddy paws but a mop and large handled broom would have helped with wet feet and leaves

Thank you for your feed - we are glad you enjoyed your stay however responding to your comments on the the 2nd toilet we listed it with 1 as could not reasonably fit it in without compromising on the other comforts so this should have been looked at when booking - where we left the dog bed we left a dust pan and brush along with a cordless vacuum - these could have easily been used to clean up all of the leaves that you left inside however we do not provide a broom as we do not want it being used inside and out - the dining room floor was particularly dirty with leaves and mud that could have easily been cleaned with what we provided - also we do ask that dogs are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture but sadly there were on the sofas in the living room as they were noticed kind regards Graham Property Owner

Really well situated for exploring the area.

  • "The cottage has kerb appeal, beautifully presented and very co-ordinated by someone who has very good taste no odd mugs plates all the lighting the same etc."

Garden very secure and well lit grass a little long for cleaning up after dogs but with all the rain we have had recently can understand that. If anything a second loo would be nice could be easily done as the bathroom was very big but this did not affect us as there was only two of us. We have been self catering for 35 weeks and this property would be in the top 5. Would definitely recommend and would go back if wanting a holiday in Rutland.

Thank you for your feedback and we are glad you enjoyed your stay - A little disappointed about the 75% on comfort score as can’t understand as only thing you mentioned was 1 toilet but it was only advertised with one and the grass being long but sadly like you said that was due to continued rain - I hope you continue to enjoy your self catering journey - kind Regards Property Owner

Clean, comfortable and welcoming. Dog friendly with secure garden and dog basket and bowls provided. Loved having the wood burner in the evening. Set in a pretty village with lots to do nearby. We enjoyed our Rutland experience and would recommend the cottage and county.

  • "Beautiful cottage, tastefully decorated with quality fixtures and fittings in delightful village."

Plenty of cutlery and crockery for self catering, Nice private garden and BBQ if you are lucky with the weather. I would have liked a couple more mirrors upstairs but it’s only a tiny problem easily solved. I would definitely recommend the cottage and the area.

Thank you for your feedback We are pleased that you were happy with your stay however a little disappointed to be marked down 25% on facilities for only having 3 mirrors - I could understand it if there were 6 people however the main bedroom had a very large mirror as did the entrance hall and a sensible one in the bathroom - not something we had thought of given I don’t need one Kind regards G Property Owner
