  • "We absolutely loved our stay, all the bedrooms were a decent size, no issues at all with cleanliness, the kitchen had everything we needed."

  • "We had problems with hot water at first so wash in cold water to start,, when hot water was restored the radiators in two bedrooms leak, if I hadn't done anything with it the carpet and ceiling below would have suffered, the far bedroom still leaked when we left."

Also there was no barbeque the owner brought one the next day which I had to build myself, but apart from that we had a nice stay the house is well equipped and yes the stairs are steep but we knew that Regards Ian

  • "E property was lovely clean and comfortable in an ideal location in Burgh Le Marsh and easy access to Skegness for the kids."

One minor concern was the bathroom window is cracked and needs replacing as it could be dangerous and no washing line to hang our towels when returning from the pool and beach. Would recommend and will return next year.

Hi Nicholas Glad you enjoyed your stay, we will repair the glass small window - we use the radiators as a drying option as the cottage would look awful with a washing line outside but thank you will look into other options Thank you for feedback and we look forward to hosting you again x Property Owner

  • "What a lovely property."

It was really clean and very spacious. The owner had obviously thought about the guests comfort and the welcome gifts were very much appreciated. We also had a a call from the owner on the day we travelled to say the house was ready for us. We thought this a nice gesture as usually we wonder whether or not a property is ready. The area is nice and quiet. Local for lots of exploring and also close to the beach in Skegness. There are plenty of places to eat out and local shops if you want to eat in. Thank you to the owners for making our stay one of our best.

Hi Martin, It was a pleasure hosting you, thank you for your appreciation of the bays we look forward to welcoming you again soon Kind regards John Property Owner

The owner was very attentive and made sure we settled in perfectly. All the extra details such as plum bread (delicious), milk in the fridge etc made it feel homely. Couldn't recommend it more and when we return to Skegness it will be high on our list Highly recommend!!

About the location

BURGH LE MARSH

Skegness 4 miles.

The pretty town of Burgh le Marsh, surrounded by open farmland, is just four miles from the popular seaside town of Skegness. Burgh le Marsh has varied amenities, with five pubs all serving food, a butcher's, a baker's and a store. There is a lovely historic windmill and an ancient church, perched high on a hill. There is a mixture of old and new buildings, now housing several tea rooms and restaurants. It has a good road network, with very easy access to Louth, Lincoln and the coast. The nearby coastline has long, sandy beaches and sand dunes, a haven for wildlife, including a couple of seal sanctuaries, notably Donna Nook Seal Reserve to the north of Mablethorpe. This is ideal cycling country, with quiet country routes and flat terrain. The town provides a good base for touring this lesser known coastal district of Lincolnshire.
