Bodaloch Cottage is a characterful semi-detached property tucked away in an extremely tranquil location in the heart of Mid Wales.

The perfect escape for a family or group of friends seeking a relaxing pursuit, this calming retreat offers countryside views and a wonderful sense of retreat from everyday life.

Enter into the spacious, welcoming lounge, complete with an electric fire glowing warmly and sumptuous arrangement of seating, inviting you to sink into comfort and ease after a day of walking, the warmth of the fire creating the perfect spot to settle and unwind.

Carry the comfort into the kitchen where the chef of the group can get to grips with all the appliances, the main one being the AGA range cooker, where you can experience the joy of traditional cooking as aromas of roasted fare begin to fill the home, while in the adjacent room is a large dining table where family mealtimes can be savoured and lingered over, the table becoming the heart of your gathering as stories and laughter flow.

Move upstairs to discover the bedrooms, each thoughtfully appointed and offering comfortable places to rest.

The master features a sumptuous super-king-size bed and en-suite shower, with a curved ceiling beam that spans across the length of the room, adding character and a sense of space.

Wake to countryside views framed by the room's unique architecture.

There is also a well-furnished king-size with en-suite bathroom, perfect for couples seeking a quieter retreat.

A triple with three singles caters well to the younger members of the group, while a double with spa-like en-suite shower provides another inviting option.

All rooms are beautifully finished and equipped with everything needed for a restful stay, each offering a quiet sanctuary away from the bustle of shared spaces.

The wonder of the property continues outside, with a bubbling, steaming hot tub sitting on the lawned area, where you can surrender to warm jets and truly soak in your countryside settings, whether beneath starlit skies on clear nights or sheltered from the elements on cooler days.

The farmer's fields stretch beyond, creating a sense of peaceful seclusion, while the gentle sounds of rural life provide a calming backdrop to your retreat.

The local area is extremely idyllic.

The village of Trefeglwys hosts a friendly, welcoming pub where you can replenish with a tasty lunch and a warming drink following an afternoon ramble.

For a greater selection of amenities, head to Newtown, where you'll find an inspiring art gallery, fascinating museums and the Theatr Hafren, which hosts a range of shows from comedies to operas – perfect for an evening of entertainment and culture.

There's something for every taste and season.

Those looking to brush up on local history can visit the ruins of Norman Mott and Bailey Castle in Montgomery, the Grade I gardens at Cregynog Hall, where manicured landscapes offer peaceful wandering, and also the spectacle of Powis Castle and gardens, where you might even spot Prince Charles.

If you fancy a day by the coast and the call of the sea, head to the market town of Aberystwyth, where you can stroll leisurely along the promenade whilst tucking into a portion of freshly battered fish and chips, the salt air mingling with the aroma of the seaside, before reaching the Constitution Hall, offering the best views of the town and the sweeping bay beyond.

We stayed at the cottage for two nights whilst attending a wedding nearby.

We were a group of 7adults and 4children. The children enjoyed the hot tub and the games room. Having 4 bathrooms was ideal especially when getting ready for the wedding. The kitchen was well equipped and it was a bonus to find fairy liquid, soap and dishwasher tablets provided . The milk, cake and loaf also a bonus. We would definitely recommend the property

A fantastic property full of character and comfort.

The outdoor area with the hot tub was perfect for social relaxation and plenty of space for the children to have fun outside. The house was beautiful, the en suite per room was really handy also. I would 100% recommend and love to stay again. Notes to review. - The downstairs floors were extremely dirty, although they didn't look it, the dirt left on socks/clothes was quite severe. - The towel radiator in the room with the bath was extremely loud and constantly on. May need repair. - Only one side of the hot tub jets were working. These are minor note for owners review but did not overall Impact our stay. Please feel free to remove the "review notes" if you want to share our review. Thank you so much.

We have had a fabulous weekend at Bodaioch cottage, celebrating our daughter’s family Hen Weekend.

The four bedrooms, each with an en-suite, fitted our group perfectly. Downstairs there was plenty of room for the 10 of us around the dining-table but the two double and one triple sofas were not enough for everyone to have a comfy seat. We brought dining chairs in when we needed them. Having said that, we were lucky to have beautiful weather and spent most of our time outside. We made good use of the hot-tub, BBQ and fire pit. The kitchen is lovely, especially the large range cooker. However, could do with some new oven trays (the one left in the large oven was rusty). Also, although it had all we needed, it was lacking in some things - agree with previous review by guest staying over Christmas. Overall, the cottage was very clean and well maintained, as was the outside area. The teenagers of the group enjoyed the Games room. We would definately recommend this cottage for a group/large family get together. Thank you.
