"The cottage has everything in it, like being at home, the town is very friendly as are the neighbours, the bed is comfy as is the pillows, constant hot water and the shower very powerful, we used the heating a couple of days in the evenings was perfect."
You didn’t need anything really it’s all there for you. Didn’t want to leave we have rebooked for April as it’s a place we want to return too.
-
"This super cottage was just what we wanted."
We will be back for sure. Everything about this break was spot on. A door between the living room and kitchen would be good, though, to make it that much cosier in colder weather.
-
"Comfortable and homely with all mod cons, excellent internet and tv."
Beds were super and bath and shower perfect. Everything you needed in the kitchen and more. Great neighbour next door who was very kind and helpful. The best welcome pack that we've had in any rental property, for us and for our dog. Much appreciated. The only slight negative was the parking space to the front on the house, which was a bit tricky with a large car, however the kindly neighbour allowed us to park on her driveway. Wouldn't put us off returning and wouldn't hesitate to book again when in the area.
-
"Beautiful cottage and garden ,friendly neighbours every thing needed was there wouldn't hesitate to stay again."
-
"Lovely cottage, very comfortable and well equipped."
Very conveniently located for family in Watton. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. Road a little busy at times and traffic noise could be heard from the front bedroom when the windows were open but fine when closed. Also sofa and chairs in front room were a little low for me because I have arthritis in my knees etc. I managed ok though and it wouldn't put me off staying again. Owner was lovely and very communicative. Neighbour was lovely too! All in all a wonderful stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again!
-
"An excellent cottage and well maintained."
A very comfortable place to stay within a great village. Communication from the owner was terrific and we had a great stay. I would highly recommend this cottage for a visit.
-
"Excellent dog-friendly pretty cottage and well presented and equipped with safe rear garden and lovely welcome pack."
-
"Had a lovely stay at Willow Cottage."
The cottage was clea, comfortable and very well equipped. The area was central to most places to visit in Norfolk. Some good dog walks direct from the cottage.
-
"Second visit to Willow Cottage and it won’t be the last."
I can’t fault the accommodation, the helpful owners and the wonderful Angela next door. We enjoyed the goodies left for our arrival as did our dog, Tess. Thank you for ordering fine weather, worth coming for that alone. We will be back!

"A very well presented cottage have booked again for next year"
-
"Lovely cosy cottage in quiet village."
Small enclosed garden. Owner has thought about everything you may need. We really enjoyed our stay there.
-
"Lovely little cottage!"
everything there you’d need to have a comfortable stay. Our dogs loved the little garden :) The welcome pack was very nice indeed and much appreciated.
-
"Willow Cottage is a fairly small cottage but it was lovely and warm and cosy."
The kitchen was very well equipped including a fridge freezer and washing machine. Linda the owner left a generous welcome pack which was appreciated. There are 2 toilets for the property, one within the bathroom inside the cottage and the other is an outside toilet near the back door. Handy having 2 toilets but I found the outside one rather cold so only went in there once. Good shower over the bath. Linda is try

"Lovely cottage with everything you needed."
The welcome pack was lovely to, even managed to sit and have tea and cake in the sheltered courtyard garden. Had a great break with plenty of easy walking from the door, Linda the owner kept us upto date over the short power cut which wasn't an inconvenience. Overall a lovely break and cottage.
-
"This is the second time we have been to Willow Cottage."
What it lacks in size it makes up in comfort. It has the most comfortable bed we have ever had in a rented cottage. Very nice to have a smart tv and gas fire in the lounge. Extra loo downstairs is handy. Helpful and friendly owner.
-
"What a welcoming, comfortable cottage."
Perfectly positioned for exploring. We even had decent weather. There was a lovely addition of local goodies and a bag of treats for our dog. The only downside is we now have to buy a coffee machine like the one provided as one of us is no longer satisfied with instant.
-
"Lovely cottage, with fantastic fittings ie the kitchen had everything you needed to make a four course meal if needed."
Unfortunately, due to my husband being 6"5 the low doors and short double bed proved to be tricky. He hit his head on the kitchen door and at night struggled to get comfy on the bed. Other than that it was set in a brilliant setting close to pubs, shops and gorgeous walks.

"Great stay lovely unexpected welcome pack nice location perfect for a stay in Norfolk"
-
"The welcome pack was the best we have experienced in over 20 different cottages booked through Sykes."
The next door neighbour was useful point of contact.

"Lovely quiet location."
Gorgeous private secure garden. Modern kitchen and appliances. WIFI very good. Off road parking. The owner was very helpful and friendly when contacted. Would return again if property available. Welcome package on arrival including milk and teabags very thoughtful. Thanks for a making it a lovely break.

-
"Fabulous very clean and comfortable, would definitely stay there again."
-
"A really lovely, dog friendly cottage which has everything you could wish for."
Owner Linda is very kind and thoughtful. There were even dog treats waiting for our Setters..The location is excellent for exploring Norfolk as it sits midway between north and south - we visited the north coast and Sutton Hoo in Suffolk from there. The cottage is warm, very well-equipped, with comfortable beds and a pretty, enclosed garden, safe for dogs. It is on a leafy road in a village outside Watton. Cannot recommend Willow Cottage enough. We would love to go back.
-
"Absolutely wonderful."
Best cottage stayed in over the years. Very clean, tidy, cosy and superbly thought out for comfort and needs. Excellent communication and help from the owner. Definitely returning! Well done!

"This is the second time we have stayed at Willow Cottage."
Linda is such a kind and lovely person. When she found out I was Coeliac she left many gluten free treats for me along with the non gluten free ones for my husband. There was also treats for Oscar our little dog. Willow Cottage is well presented, spotlessly clean with top of the range appliances in the kitchen which is very important to me being Coeliac as we self cater all the time. Its cosy and warm with a gas burner in the sitting room. There are plenty of fluffy towels and even towels for the dogs , Linda seems to think of everything . It's definitely a home from home . The back garden is completely enclosed so very safe and secure for your 4 legged little treasures. There are some lovely walks from the door step and a pub within walking distance which is dog friendly. Watton is around 2 miles away and has many shops plus a large Tesco stores. We booked this lovely cottage as it is close to relatives . There are many places of interest to travel to within a relatively short distance. All in all we loved Wilow Cottage and would thoroughly recommend it, it's a little gem .Anne and Martin and Oscar our little shih tzu

"We had a wonderful stay at Willow cottage, it was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed, the heating was good, the beds comfy with quality linens and appliances in the modern kitchen."
Plenty of sockets and the WiFi was very good. A nice little back garden and a small park close by for walkies, although we went into the forest most days which our dog absolutely loved. Our host Linda was lovely with nothing too much trouble and she left us some great goodies and was extremely accommodating, as was her lovely neighbour who let us park on her drive. Would highly recommend, a great base, especially for those who love Thetford Forest.

"Absolutely wonderful Old School Cottage in Saham Toney."
Extremely clean, cosy and well equipped. The owner is incredibly friendly and had clearly spent a lot of time thinking of everything guests may need during their stay. We particularly enjoyed the welcome pack left for us, a very sweet treat :-) There is a little but very pretty garden at back which is totally secure. Comfy beds, great hot water for showers and a parking space. Absolutely perfect in our view. Thank you very much!
-
"It was a lovely place and we very much appreciated the welcome cookies, and other goodies, thank you."
-
"Everything about Willow Cottage was excellent."
It was comfortable, warm and furnished to a high standard. The kitchen appliances were of high quality and a joy to use. The welcome pack left by the owner was a lovely surprise on arrival and much appreciated. We have booked again for March and are looking forward to another welcome break.

"Excellent accommodation."
Lovely cosy cottage. Very well equipped with all you could need. Really enjoyed the little extras/treats provided for our stay. Secure garden was a bonus for our small dog. The only downside was the weather!
-

Very comfortable and clean. It had a real "cottagy" feel and made me feel relaxed. Friendly neighbours both sides. I would love to stay there again and will try to bring better weather with me!! My 2 big dogs enjoyed our stay too.

Willow Cottage is a lovely place to stay to explore Norfolk, it is well equipped, clean and very quaint, the back garden was a lot smaller than we thought but lovely to sit out on fine day, would certainly recommend it

"What a lovely cottage we stayed in during our visit to the Norfolk coast."
We can only say thank you to Linda, our holiday cottage host, who really made us feel at home. So clean, all facilities you need plus extras like coffee, tea and local biscuits and cake to enjoy when you arrive at the cottage. Lovely little garden terrace at the back for us to enjoy and for our dog to have a little play. Rooms were prestine and beds really comfortable. Great communication prior to our stay - Linda warned us that there is a fuel shortage in Norfolk which really helped us to plan ahead and top up our tank before we arrived in Norfolk. We can highly recommend Watton cottage and love to come back again. Many thanks, Linda!
I am so pleased you had a good visit to Norfolk and hopefully you managed to catch up with old friends. I do hope to welcome you to Willow Cottage again in the future. Linda Property Owner

"We enjoyed the cottage so much my wife wished she could take it home with us."
-
"Beautiful cottage home from home with the facilities all mod cons , I keep in touch with the owner through text to say we were enjoying ourselves, we were told she was available if we needed anything, the neighbour was helpful , it went very slow which was nice , the pub is 10 minutes away they were friendly, highly recommend this cottage ."
... We liked the area so much we are planning to move up there by the end of the year x
-
"Excellent stay really enjoyed the location only a few minutes drive to Watton which had all you need for local shops."
Friendly neighbour would definitely stay again in the future
-
"The cottage was beautiful and of a very high standard in all aspects , it was a lovely little home from home and we would love to go back and definitely will later in the year , we will also recommend to our friends …."
-
"A delightful cottage in a charming village location."
The property is well maintained and in superb condition, tastefully decorated and with lots of 'nick-nacks' which give an instant feeling of homeliness and welcome. All of the equipment in the cottage is of the very highest quality and all fully functional and spotlessly clean. The furnishings are similarly clean and very comfortable. The proprietor was very helpful and friendly whilst being completely inobtrusive. She runs the let at an arms distance but I was always confident that she was just a phone call away and would respond positively and quickly to any request or problem (for me there were no problems!) The quiet village location was but a short walk away from a dog friendly pub serving good ale and good, simple and inexpensive food. There is also a handy dog walking area just a few minutes walk away. Whilst being in a village it is nonetheless close to good roads for access to most of the interesting locations in the area. To summarise, a superb, very well equipped and presented cottage in a great location.
Thank you very much for your lovely comments. I am so pleased you had a good visit and glad you managed to catch up with your family after the enforced break. I hope to welcome you back sometime. Linda Property Owner
-

It has to be the cleanest cottage we have ever rented. Absolutely spotless. Very comfortable bed and armchairs. The 'extras' left for us were very much appreciated. The outside toilet was a great surprise and worth a visit! We will definitely be back.
Thank you so much for the lovely comments. I do hope to welcome you back again. Keep well and best wishes for the holidays. Linda Property Owner

The cottage was spotless, the owner was amazing and ensured we had everything we needed and even gave our daughter as extra special surprise when she got to the cottage. "Really comfortable, very well equipped cottage."
Contacts with the owner were excellent, including an e-mail introduction prior to the visit. This was comprehensive and reassuring, particularly in the current covid situation. Lovely little garden became an extra room during the good weather. The neighbours were also very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend a break at Willow Cottage.
-
"The cottage was every thing I wanted and more, well Situated, to go to the major towns, clean and in am ideal place, would go back anytime."

It is exactly as described in the property details.

"The cottage was brilliant, quaint but with all modern amenities nicely furnished and very clean."
The location was excellent, very nice village next to a small town with all the necessary stores etc. We hope to repeat the experience next summer.
-
"Cottage made the stay for us as it was well appointed with everything we needed, it was comfortable and the owner was on call (if required) to help out if needed."
-
"Everything was catered for and more."
We thought the cottage was smaller than we originally thought from the descripition. Small for 4 adults. Road noisy in the early hours of the morning with traffic. We enjoyed the garden and ate outside most evenings. Owner very keen to help in any way. Parking is not easy for a large car at the front of the cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
-
"Lovely little cottage, kept us cool in the sweltering heat."
Had everything we needed for a short family break. Nice old country feel but with newly refurbed items such as kitchen and bathroom facilities. Ended up meeting the host who was lovely, and really wants everyone to enjoy the cottage. Great experience, thank you.

About the location
WATTON
Swaffham 10 miles; Thetford 15 miles; Norwich 23 miles.
The well-served market town of Watton is in the district of Breckland, just less than 25 miles from Norwich. Perfectly positioned for access to the whole of Norfolk and North Suffolk, this town is thought to be where the 'Babes in the Wood' were abandoned in Wayland Wood. You will see on the town sign that there are two babes, and a hare jumping over the barrel reflecting the town name; wat being the local dialect word for hare, and ton for barrel. There is a traditional market held every Wednesday morning with produce including freshly caught fish, and there are two supermarkets and a number of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs to enjoy. Within reach is the popular Thetford Forest Park, a number of golf courses, other market towns and not forgetting the cathedral city of Norwich. A convenient base for your Norfolk adventure.
