    "Moonlight cottage is an absolute delight."

    So well equipped and comfortable for the two of us, including the king size bed. As it was still summer we didn’t use the gas fired stove but it is there if needed. Lovely hot water was always available. Dilys, the owner, is very helpful and although we didn’t need any help I’m sure nothing would be too much trouble. We would definitely come again, especially as it is ideally situated for beaches and cliff side walks.

    Country comfort with all you need. Fully equipped kitchen. Dillys the property owner is a warm welcoming lady who can't do enough for you to help you enjoy your stay. The scenery all around the cottage is stunning. If you want a relaxing peaceful holiday, this is for you.

    The location is excellent for exploring the area and the views from the garden are amazing. We had some great walks, some from the door, and swam in the sea a few times from the nearby beaches as the weather was very kind. We had such a wonderful week, Gary completed the Llandudno Peninsula section of the Welsh Coast path and I had a wonderful relaxing week taking in the beautiful views from the bench at the bottom of the garden.     "“Moonlight Cottage” was perfect as a base for revisiting favourite places on the Lleyn Peninsula."

    Nestled on a hillside, it has an authentic cottage style. Sheep graze the surrounding fields and the horizon is fringed with mountains. Lovely established hedgerows line the narrow, winding lanes that lead to the cottage. The area has a lot of winding lanes, so this is a holiday for those who want to slow their pace of life. Moonlight Cottage and its owner are very welcoming and a lot of thought has clearly gone into providing a homely, well-equipped rural retreat.

    I suffered a strained muscle during my stay and found climbing into the bath for the shower impossible. Maybe a shower cubicle might be better. On the other hand, I am aware that many people prefer a bath. Just bad luck on my part and not a criticism.

    The location is perfect, with open countryside all around and wide views over the Llyn Peninsular. This area is new to us and we were enchanted by it - long cliff top walks, hill walks, birds, sea, beaches..... And we loved coming back to the peace, quiet and comfort of the cottage, after a long day out. There was everything we needed in the cottage. Dilys is a natural host, friendly as others have already said, but not intrusive. Marvellous break.

    .It is very homely ,comfortable, very well equipped and immaculately clean .The outside area is well fenced in making it safe for our dogs and the views are excellent .Dilys ( the owner ) who lives in the attached chapel is wonderful person ,friendly ,informative but not in the least intrusive .She gave us some useful recommendations of places to visit etc .

    Beautiful view from the front. It is well equipped with everything you need. There is ample room to park your car and safe enclosed garden for your dog. Would suit people wanting a quiet time away and to go walking. It is also just a short drive to the beach and shopping areas. We had a lovely time there.

The property

Settled on the outskirts of Sarn Meyllteyrn on the Llŷn Peninsula, Gwynedd is this romantic, one-bedroom annexe, Moonlight Cottage.

In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this dog-friendly cottage is set on an elevated position with exceptional, panoramic views of the surrounding coast and countryside, ensuring an idyllic base for two to enjoy a romantic getaway.

Take in the far-reaching vistas on arrival as you park in the off-road parking space and enter through the gravelled garden area.

This private outdoor space is enclosed for dogs and has outdoor seating to sit back, relax, and admire the view!

Inside, you'll find a handy cloakroom to your left and an open-plan living space straight ahead, where you can start the gas effect fire sink into the sofa, and catch your favourite show on the TV.

Moonlight Cottage has been lovingly furnished with contemporary amenities, such as an electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher for your self-catering stay, whilst retaining much of its original, farmhouse character.

After rustling up a home-cooked meal, dine at the table for two, or why not dine al fresco at sunset?

Upstairs, you'll find a spacious king-size bedroom with all the home comforts, as well as a beautifully appointed bathroom with bath, shower over, and heated towel rail.

The centre of Sarn Meyllteyrn is close by to dine at Tŷ Newydd Sarn, a traditional pub, while you can stock up on essentials at the village shop and filling station.

If you've come for sandy beaches, you'll have Traeth Penllech, the golden sands of Traeth Porthor, and the sprawling Porth Neigwl all nearby, whether that's to sunbathe or try your hand at watersports.

Be sure to visit the nearby Plas yn Rhiw, a National Trust property overlooking the bay!

The bustling Abersoch is a popular spot for surfing and is home to Abersoch Golf Club, The Cove Abersoch for traditional cuisine by the sea, and Siop Fferm Abersoch for local produce.

Alternatively, head to the picturesque village of Aberdaron to relax along Traeth Aberdaron, pick up a treat at Becws Islyn Bakery, and trek along the coastal path for spectacular sea views across to Bardsey Island (Ynys Enlli).

Further afield, you'll find the market town of Pwllheli, Criccieth with its hilltop castle, and further inland, the popular Porthmadog and the Italianate village of Portmeirion.

Snowdonia National Park is also within reach for an abundance of outdoor adventures, whether that's exploring Ceunant Llennyrch National Nature Reserve, Zip World Llechwedd, or clambering to the top of Snowdon Peak!

The tiny, rural village of Sarn Meyllteyrn is situated at the heart of the beautiful Llyn Peninsula, an area renowned for its outstanding scenery, and offers local shops and pubs, a garage, resturant and pottery. The Village offers access to many wonderful walks through the countryside and along the coast, including Plas yn Rhiw National Trust site, Mynydd with its ocean views and Arfordir Treftadaeth Penrhyn Llŷn. Just 6 miles away, sandwiched between two glorious bays, the attractive town of Abersoch is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and hosts numerous sailing regattas throughout the summer months. A wide variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés cater for all tastes, whilst water sports enthusiasts are spoilt for choice with fabulous windsurfing, waterskiing, sailing, diving and surfing opportunities. From here you will find the lovely coastal towns of Llanbedrog with its sandy beach and amenities and Pwllheli where you will find a coastal walk and golf course, and further out, breath-taking walks at Gyrn Ddu. With the long, sandy Warren Beach, the sheltered sands at Porth Bach and the terrific, high cliffs at Port Ceiriad nearby and Bardsey Island just a short, yet exciting boat trip away, this is an ideal base for a varied and enjoyable holiday.
