Cottage was beautiful couldnt fault it.

The only thing I would say is the front door is very stiff to lock and also garden gate is difficult to lock older people may have had trouble using them but overall lovely place will def be back. Thanks

There are some good points and some not so good.

The cottage is a lovely property. It is clean and spacious with lovely views of the sea and the garden area is great for sitting out on an evening. The location is ideal for exploring the local area and beyond. The beds were very comfortable and the showers powerful. However, when we tried to use the dishwasher, we found it full of water. The owner advised, after we contacted them, that it should have had an 'out of order' sign on it and apologised. In the pictures on the website, there are shown two towels per person, but we only had one small bath towel each for the week. If you like a bath sheet, then suggest you bring your own. We had to purchase kitchen towel, kitchen surface cleaner, handwash soap. There is only a cloth for the sink, no brush/scourers, so to prevent the ovenwear too dirty we bought some tin foil. I don't think two logs for the wood burner is sufficient for even one nights fire and as stated in a previous review there are no fire lighters or newspaper to assist the kindling to catch. I think a starter pack is a better option as found in other properties we have stayed at. I can also say, we weren't a fan of the air source heat pump which is slow and is limited to 21 degrees. I would imagine it is very cold in winter.

The cottage was as described but we found that the dishwasher was not working.

It seemed to fill but that was all. I reported it to Sykes on the Monday who then contacted the owner. Someone called the next day but was unable to fix it and sadly it wasn’t replaced during our visit. The owner sent a gift of flowers and chocolate and crisps as an apology which was very nice and we didn’t mind washing up by hand.
