  • "Very lovely little cottage in a beautiful, and often overlooked part of north Wales."

Llandderfel is a pretty village with a pub a 15~ min walk away; no shop, but Y Bala (Coop, Spar, etc) is a pleasant 10 min drive away. Handy, central location for trips out to Llangollen, Llyn Efyrnwy, Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall (taller than Niagara!) and, of course Y Bala and Llyn Tegid. The cottage itself is very comfortable and well appointed, with tea, coffee, milk and butter provided along with a generous welcome pack. Two pleasant sitting rooms and a lovely balcony with seating with views of the village. Parking is just round the corner by the church. Highly recommended, would revisit.

  • "This cottage was very clean, well equipped, and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay."

It is situated in a small, pretty village where the River Dee runs nearby along the valley. The flowers, views and scenery in this area were magical. Parking was not an issue for us, as we dropped the luggage near the door, and then parked just a few yards from the cottage. Llinos had left us a welcome pack of treats and essentials for our stay which we were very grateful of, thank you. We loved sitting on the balcony having a coffee, and seldom heard anything but bird song and sheep, it was extremely relaxing, and just what we needed. The area is outstandingly beautiful, and there are lots of varied walks - if you enjoy hiking, you can’t go wrong in this location. Shops are a few miles away at Bala and Corwen, and a convenience store at Llandrillo.

A real home from home. We appreciated the welcome gifts left by the owners and their informative handbook about the property and the area. Would happily recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in the Bala area.
