Talar when is beautiful.

Very spacious, clean & comfortable. What we missed was a washroom downstairs. The owner, Eira, was very helpful, promptly answered all our questions. Suggested places to dine at for my birthday too. Thank you again Eira. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to visit Snowdonia. Lata

This is an amazing property the pictures don’t do it justice, especially the sun room.

Owners really have thought of everything you could need. The owner is lovely so helpful and attentive, even messaged on our first night to make sure everything was okay and we had settled in. We use Sykes a lot and this is definitely up there with one of our favourite’s, we already cannot wait to return.

Lovely house, in a great area.

House had all we could need, owners has thought of everything. Garden space was superb for our 2 dogs and very secure. Owner was very communicative and on hand for issues/ information. 10/10.

Although we arrived during a heatwave meaning we couldn't get out dogs out for many walks the property was fully equipped with everything we needed.

The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking, the ninja was a added bonus too! Property was spacious and having the downstairs bedroom was ideal for being with our old dog. Garden was lovely had a great stay and would recommend. The local area was great too.

) Our stay was absolutely perfect from beginning to end. This is one of the nicest holiday cottages we have ever stayed in. The house is beautiful, spotless, and exceptionally well equipped. Everything was immaculate, and we had absolutely everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The large bathroom, the wonderfully soft towels, and the fresh, comfortable bedding all made us feel truly at home. We also want to say a special thank you for making our dog feel so welcome. The treats, toys, and cosy blankets were such a thoughtful surprise and made our stay even more special. The view was simply breathtaking. Looking out over the peaceful countryside and seeing the sheep just beyond the fence every morning was magical. The tranquillity, beautiful scenery, and relaxing atmosphere made this a place we never wanted to leave. Thank you for creating such a wonderful holiday home. We highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and unforgettable stay. We will definitely be returning! Lovely house with excellent views and outside space.

The downstairs sunroom was exceptional. Kitchen and bedrooms all very well equipped. We had a great time and there is plenty to do in the vicinity. Would certainly consider a return visit

Lovely cottage, clean and everything you need.

Air fryer a bonus and logs left for the fire. Lovely Prosecco on arrival. A downstairs toilet would have given it 5 stars especially when there is 6 guests. 5 minute drive to town and lake. Would definitely stay again. Thanks

What a beautiful home.

So well equipped with everything you need for a cosy stay. Blankets, fireplace, soft lighting, good heating, games, views onto fields of sheep, amazing kitchen that even has an air fryer, strong WiFi, beautiful sun room. I was unsure about the astroturf but turned out my dog loved it so I needn't have worried. Garden is secure.

We have just returned from a 4 day trip to Talar Wen.

WOW! What a property! It was spacious, yet homely and beautifully kept! There was everything we could possibly need (and extra touches that were so thoughtful...e.g a wide selection of board games, colouring and blankets for those chillier evenings) The setting was peaceful and the scenery beautiful...we especially loved our woolly neighbours! We will definitely return! Thanks ....

My friends and I had a fantastic weekend break in Bala, and Talar Wen was where we decided to stay.

The property was spotless, beautifully maintained, and equipped with every amenity we could need. Our favourite spot was the sunroom. Even as Storm Dave rolled through, it provided a stunning, cosy vantage point to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the warmth. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming; In the future if we decide to revisit Bala we will consider staying here again.

We loved this house.

It was clean and spacious for a family with a dog. Walking distance to the town centre and the lake with lovely sunrises and views.

An exceptional holiday home from home and host, this is by far the best dog friendly accommodation we have stayed at.

Space, games, super high quality accommodation and the friendliest locals a 7 min walk away (also dog friendly). Everything you need as a base to explore the beautiful area (if you can bare to leave) thank you, we will be back.

The house is gorgeous, spacious with stunning views and a brilliant location with a quick walk into town etc where everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Nice relaxing baths after our walks and used the super soft towels provided

Absolutely beautiful.

This is our second visit to Taler Wen, and we loved every minute we were there, even the weather which was pretty bad did not deter us. We loved everything about it. The owner is also very friendly and helpful and if you have a problem she will try to get it sorted as soon as possible. Looking forward to visiting again.

We spent a weekend to celebrate my special birthday at this lovely property Talar Wen.

Wish I could have booked for longer! The house is fully equipped, a home from home feel. Log fire, board games and games table was a big hit with our children.After spending the day out visiting lake Bala and having a delicious meal recommended by the property owner Plas Yn Dre, we couldn’t wait to go back and have a chill.Which we did and it finished the day off perfectly.My son even said after the first night, he had the best sleep ever!If you want a quiet and tranquil stay? this property is perfect! Very good communication with the property owner, which made it extra special for my birthday.Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and keep up the good work!

We had a relatively comfortable time.

It is a nice house although looking a bit tired and dated. Bed mattress need replacing. And there's a wasps nest somewhere, keeped getting sleepy wasps all over the house.which wasn't good for the dogs the back garden was cut in half by a temporary devide,so could only use half of it. Although the owner did say they would take it down if we asked. Also we thought we'd be there alone, but there's a family member living in part of the house with another family member coming to visit every day. The surrounding area is beautiful lots of walks not much else, and what they call a market town is really a village takeaways don't deliver.

I had arranged a two week holiday to celebrate my 80th birthday with two daughters aged 25 and 23 and a son 20 years.

I booked four different holiday accommodations spending a few days at different locations three in Wales and one in South West England. Talar Wen was our first stay on 12th July and the first and best of the four. In fact all four of us agreed it was far superior in every aspect to the others. In hindsight I should have stayed at this house for the entire fortnight. I give it ten out of ten in every aspect for a wonderful holiday base. In fact it is not a holiday home, it is an executive house that I would like to live in permanently. Looking at the property full length photograph from the front one only rents the 75 per cent to the left. The garage and right hand part were occupied by the owner's daughter for our few days. She was as quiet as a mouse, kept herself to herself, and we only saw fleeting glimpses of her when she drove her car up the spacious drive so it did not bother us. The house was perfectly clean, modern, spacious and had everything needed apart from a washing machine and drier. The kitchen cupboards and drawers were filled with modern expensive cutlery, chinaware, glasses, cooking pots all looking as new and neatly spaciously set out. My son cooked some superb meals on the easy to use modern cooker and guests can eat in two different areas in the house. Dinner a large table in the very large open lounge or breakfast in the large open kitchen/ diner. There is an original Welsh family butchers at the corner of the high street nearest the property and my daughters walked the dog each morning to the nearby bakery. If Tesco, Lidl, Waitrose, Aldi, M & S Food, Sainsburys or Morrisons opened a supermarket in Bala they would make a killing. Such places are not really needed on holidays and are a drive away. We stopped off on the way and stocked up in advance. The house is near so many activities, kayaks, canoes, picnic places, white water surfing, fishing, scenic railways, adventure places, cafes, restaurants, take aways, canals, everything for the open air, horse riding, leisure centre the lot. The rear garden is Astro turf, the dog chased about thoroughly enjoying itself. There is a large garden and drive at the front for the dog to roam sealed with a farm size gate with two apple trees that guests can pick. Two fields at the rear give entertainment for nature lovers, sheep, sparrows, a pair of crows, wood pigeons, collared doves, two feral cats, and numerous species of other birds. The bathroom is large clean and fresh. Arrival took seconds on a key system and the owner spoke to me on the telephone stating if there was anything else I needed to call her. I never needed anything. Everything was there. Summing up Spacious, Clean, Modern, Open, Spotless. Perfect Base. The second property we stayed in had a hot tub in the rear garden. If Tala Wen had such a feature it would be worth paying more for the stay. The fourth place I stayed which was in England had the dreaded alcoholic, drug addicts begging . Bala and North Wales seem to have escaped this UK blight. At a guess Bala must be virtually crime free.

Absolutely loved our stay at Talar Wen.

The house was clean and tidy and as described. Some small gifts on arrival made you feel welcomed from the beginning! Ideal for someone who is seeking some of the country side but with local amenities within walking distance. Our favourite part has got to be the garden, the kids loved playing in the secure space. Woody the whippet was also OBSESSED with the garden as there was enough space where he could run at ‘full speed’

Excellent property to stay, Very well equipped and comfortable, it was lovely to sit outside listening to the sheep and birds, the only downside was the beds needs better mattresses but apart from that I would highly recommend this cottage.

Talar Wen is our favourite Airbnb stay so far.

The house is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac which meant it was a quiet location. The quality of the furnishings are very good and it is a very comfortable house in which to stay. The sun room is a fantastic space. The weather was kind to us and we enjoyed a barbecue every evening. It was a delight to hear the sheep in the field behind the property. Talar Wen provides a super base to travel to so many great locations in North Wales. We hope to visit again.

We thorough enjoyed our stay at Talar Wen it’s in a great location for exploring.

The host was extremely helpful. The house is at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and backs on to sheep fields. There are tables, chairs and a bbq in the garden. The garden is fenced and secure for dogs. The house is extremely well equipped, very comfortable and well set up for children. There is a dart board, games table and plenty of board games. Bala town centre is a short walk away although it’s a steep climb back up!! The National White Water Rafting Centre is a 5 minute drive away. There are dog walks you can do from the house. Two tiny things - the house could do with a washing machine (I know the owner is working on this). We used the local laundrette which was £15. A chest of drawers in the downstairs bedroom would have been useful too. Otherwise a lovely house and extremely comfortable.

The house was beautiful and the town of Bala also.

The owners have added extras to make the house so comfortable. Blankets for sitting in the garden of an evening. Tea, coffee, sugar, dish washer tablets and a unit full of board games. I only have one gripe which was no down stairs toilet/second bathroom. Large house, 6 adults sharing. This would make a brilliant house to an exceptional house.

A luxury home with everything you could need for a short break.

Our family ranging from 17 to 80 years found Talar Wen perfect for a couple of days away with both our dogs. The rear of the property is perfect to sit out, very peaceful (even with the sheep field at the back!) and is completely dog friendly/secure. The inside is spacious and the sun room/conservatory is a great family space which we loved. The games area was a bonus with pool/air hockey and darts proving popular. The town is 10mins walk down the steep hill, but there’s plenty of parking if you need to drive. Eira, the owner was fantastic and provided good local information and even set up decorations, a balloon and lovely welcome pack for my mums 80th celebrations - which was unexpected and a nice touch. Couldn’t ask for more and would love to visit again.

Great communication prior to our arrival and an extra bonus of a welcome pack and also treats for our dog.

Superb, lovely house with everything you could need on a holiday

The property was absolutely beautiful and so comfortable.

Eira was very helpful and friendly. We had a problem with the tv, we sent her a text and it was sorted by the next day. The welcome pack was lovely I have to say we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful home. Maya our dog loved it to we couldn’t keep her out of the garden, that was if we weren’t walking into Bala.

The home was absolutely beautiful, it was larger than expected, the owner was very helpful and quick to respond with a couple of questions.

When we stayed it was -7 outside but the log burner gave us that really cosy feel. The walk into Bala for me was easy it’s quite a sharp little hill back up, but it’s not long. I would and will stay again

We stayed here from boxing day to New years to celebrate my partners 60th birthday.

The hosts were very accommodating for us as a family and had even decorated the house with banners and a happy 60th balloon, which was really appreciated. We also had a lovely welcome gift. The house is well equipped with everything you might need and felt like a home from home. The town centre of Bala is only a short walk with nice pubs and plenty of places to eat and get food. I can't recommend Tala Wen enough, and hopefully, we will return soon.

We had such a lovely and relaxing stay at Talar Wen in November (28.

11-01.12). The setting was absolutely beautiful - peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by stunning Welsh countryside. It was the perfect place for us to unwind. The house was spotless, warm, and really cozy, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It felt so welcoming and had a real homely feel, which made it even easier to relax and enjoy our time there. We loved spending our days exploring the area and soaking up the scenery, then coming back in the evenings to such a calm and comfortable space. It was exactly what we needed to recharge. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would love to come back again soon. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful break!

We loved the games table and darts and the kids played footy outside in the garden. Short walk down into Bala and the Lake. Hosts were wonderful, very attentive, communication was really good.
