  • "What a lovely property!"

The facilities were great, although a few more pegs might have been helpful! Everything was as described. The local area is lovely, the pub is great. I would highly recommend the Sunday Carvery. We only saw the owners in passing but they were friendly. The house was clean and had everything needed for a weeks stay for a family of six adults.

  • "My two brothers, my partner aged 89yrs and, myself, enjoyed a lovely week."

The Farmhouse is spacious, the beds comfortable, the two lounges a blessing when some of your group just want to relax, read and, not have to watch TV! A family/group of 7, might struggle with one bathroom, a rota perhaps to be considered. The walks from the house plentiful. The only shortfall in description, is that the new bypass runs very near the property. When busy, it's very noisy, and, spoils the otherwise delightful country views. That said, we were not disappointed with the area. We loved it and, would certainly return.

  • "We had a really lovely weekend break in this property."

We were surprised to see how spacious it was when we arrived! Would definitely recommend a “hot water” warning in the upstairs bathroom for the sink though because it gets very very hot!! I also think the waste disposal needs to be clarified in the guest guidebook as we couldn’t find the main general waste bin :( (we were looking for a black bin but weren’t sure where it was). Overall 10/10 stay and we would all be happy to return. The house owner was also extremely accommodating and even came to the property to remedy a minor issue (thank you so much).

Hi Shalyea, Thank you for your nice feedback and glad that you enjoyed the farmhouse and would stay again, Would like that :) I will check the bin issue and note in the bathroom with Hot water, the thermostat should be on lower temperature in the summer months. Glad that you enjoyed walking up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), hope there aren't any aches still! Thank you Ffion Property Owner

  • "Very relaxed, lovely place alltogether."

Ameneties are abundent. Large place, many rooms, all very comfy, two living rooms with a logburner each. What more? There IS a Smart TV though it's not described. The Wifi only works when you use the W.P.S. ... But it works well. We got a generous pack of logs, would recommend, and hope to be back.

Hi Peter, Many thanks for your feedback, very glad that you enjoyed it here and the area. Much appreciated. Diolch yn fawr! Ffion Property Owner

House has all the home comforts you may require. You can enjoy a leisurely walk to Caernarfon or explore the area around the house. A very enjoyable holiday, would definitely visit again.

  • "It was a lovely property."

Although found the directions a bit confusing, was well worth the visit. Having features like the bikes was a bonus. The children with us really loved this (was able to teach a friend how to ride!). Important to make sure that the tires are sound before making any significant journey as we learnt the hard way. Kitchen was well presented with all the amenities you expect and more. The lack of side tables with lamps in one of the two reception ones would be one small note. Beds were comfortable. Being away from yhe main roads and being greeted by the sheep in the morning in the adjoining field was also a joy.

Spotless, great facilities, spacious. Honestly - there is nothing we would have changed. A fantastic location & perfectly situated for us to explore Nort Wales. Availability permitting, we will 100% be returning here next year.

  • "Cefn Werthyd Farmhouse is a fantastic holiday home."

It is spacious, was perfectly clean and a comfortable place to stay. The beds especially were very comfortable and allowed for a restful nights sleep, this is assisted by the fact there is no noise inside the house, it's very quiet as it has thick stone walls. All the bedrooms are generous and well presented. The living rooms (the are 2) are a lovely place to relax in the evening with fantastic log fires. The kitchen is large and has a good size table in with 6/7 seats. The garden is enclosed and if you have a dog it will be able to safely get outside from the convenience of the cottage. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage. It was ideal for my wife, our daughter, Springer Spaniel and I to spend a week exploring North Wales and we could have stayed longer.

  • "Lovely holiday cottage in a fabulous location."

Would just advise to update the directions to the property we got lost as we were looking for a national speed limit sign which wasn't actually there!!. Could do with a warning on the hot water taps as the water was almost boiling burnt myself twice it heats up really quickly!!! Finally the lovely farm dogs like to come for a visit they are really friendly but they like too poo in the garden so just check before you let kiddies play. Would definately stay again though.

  • "Spacious & generally clean property, well situated for exploring North Wales."

Although easy access to major roads, very close proximity to bypass brought unwelcome traffic noise which somewhat limited "getting away from it all". Dog mess in the garden was also a disappointment.

  • "Loved the farmhouse, smiling emoji says it all!"

A lot of trouble has gone into choosing the fittings, especially the delightful kitchen (my favourite!) Heaps of space and doggo loved the large garden.Great location for trips along the coast or inland to villages like Llanberis and Bedgellert, no location seems more than 30 minutes away. Enjoyed our chats with the delightful lady who lives in the farm building behind the farmhouse, our only neighbour, such a peaceful location yet only minutes from the village and less than ten minutes from Caernarfon. Can highly recommend.

The fittings were of good quality and the four bedrooms all very welcoming. The wood burners were a real treat. Thank you for leaving towels but we did not use them as Sykes told us we needed to provide our own.

  • "We had a wonderful holiday there with our five children."

The house was fantastic with all the facilities you'd want/need. There was a generous amount of wood provided with the woodburners, which was lovely, and a really kind welcome basket on arrival with various treats. The use of the bikes was also brilliant (complete with the provision of pumps, locks, and even puncture repair kits - they'd thought of everything!). Nice quiet location too, with good space for playing and relaxing both outside as well as inside. Would definitely recommend.

Great walk along the disused railway into Caernarfon. Gypsy Wood within walking distance if you have children under 8. within easy reach for Bodnant Gardens and Anglesey Welsh Highland Railway from Caernarfon to Beddgelert.

  • "While I have absolutely no criticisms of the owners - the cottage was exceptionally clean and well equipped."

I found that the lack of notification of how COVID-19 would impact the holiday by your company negatively affected us. For example, we deliberately chose this cottage for the availability of bicycles. This meant that as a family of 7 we would not need to bring all our bikes. You failed to inform us before leaving that the bikes would be unavailable, which meant we could not cycle as planned. Equally the removal of all extras such as books, games etc. was not explained to us before leaving which meant that we were inadequately prepared for entertaining ourselves and children. Again, I would like to make it clear that I have no criticism of the owners here - I lay the blame for this lack of information entirely with Sykes.
