"Return visit and just as lovely as the first!"
Beautiful views and enough distance to be able to still travel to visit local area. Local eggs are a must try! Hot tub wonderful after long day of adventures
-
"Bryn Ffynon is a lovely, clean, spacious, and comfortable home away from home."
The only thing lacking was the curtesy morning drinks, i.e. tea, coffee and sugar, and other basic provisions like salt and pepper, which are usually provided in all the other cottages we've hired. Despite that, we had a wonderful time here exploring the coastal walking routes and spending time at Felin Uchaf's lovely café. Coming home to a hot tub was a real treat! Thank you!

"In general, all was great."
Dave was very helpful and responsive when we had a couple of minor problems (key safe breaking; alarms going off). The family room is the real 'seller' in this property. It's a lovely space for a large group of people to enjoy a meal and just generally to be together without getting under each others' feet. The hot tub was a bonus too, and the house has a lovely feel to it. The views over the horizon to the sea were gorgeous and the children loved the games room. We were surprised to learn that we would not have access to the house before 5 pm on the day of arrival as this seemed rather late, but Dave was on site and was accommodating about this. We also thought it a tall order to vacate by 9 am on the day of departure - especially when young children are involved and chaos reigns! All in all, however, it was a very good experience in a lovely holiday house.

"Lovely property, Dave the owner was very helpful."
Lovely views and all the facilities you would need. Games room an added bonus.
-
"Pictures don't do this property justice - the original house has been co verted into 4 bedrooms, a bathroom and a snug/TV room, with a huge new extension at the back with fully fitted kitchen, large dining table and big family/social space with view across wide open space."
Short drive to Aberdaron with great pub on sea front. Additional outside space, hot tub and games room made this a great all-round property for any combination. Thanks to the owner Dave for helpful instructions and easy arrangements Recommended

"We would highly recommend Bryn Ffynnon."
The views are amazing and the games room is a great if the weathers not so good. There’s plenty to see and do in the area or just sit and relax and enjoy the views. Hopefully we will be back soon, thanks Dave

"We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house."
Thank you Dave for being a great host, very helpful and friendly. There was plenty of space for relaxing and we especially enjoyed the garden and hot tub and the games room was a hit with our children.
-
"We had an excellent week at Bryn Ffynnon."
It is in a very peaceful setting but not too far to drive to beaches at Morfa Nefyn, Aberdaron and Abersoch. The weather was good but had it not been, the hot tub and games room are a great distraction. Garden is spacious and the extension to the original property has been very well done and makes an excellent light and airy living space. The sea view is a bonus and on one clear evening we could see the Irish coast (35 miles away!). Additional toilets and showers and extra fridge in outbuilding were also very welcome. We will definitely return.

"Dave was a great host."
The property was just like the listing stated. He allowed us to arrive early which was a great bonus. The property was presented excellently being cleaned to a great standard. One request we had was for a rolling pin which Dave managed to source within 10 minutes. The garden was a brilliant place to play and relax. Getting some amazing views in the evening. I couldn't have asked for more from the host. Apologies for leaving the food in the fridge/Freezer.

"Stunning house with everything you could need for the perfect holiday."
The games room, outdoor shower rooms and hot tub were a bonus. Evening sunsets are amazing. Dave is so helpful.
-
"Really enjoyed our stay comfy and all you want grandchildren loved the play room and space to play ,hot tub a bonus ."
Dave the owner nothing to much bother rung him a couple of times while there and answered our queries. One move really good in my opinion was no tele in main area which meant we had real family time all in all a great week will go again

"Beautiful cottage, with everything that you could possibly need and more."
Location is perfect- peaceful and rural, yet easy to drive to and shops and beaches within an easy drive. Stunning views and beautiful sunsets from the hot tub and lounge area. Games room a great hit for family nights. On our one rainy day, we were able to watch a film in the snug with the log burner on. A lovely relaxing holiday. Thank you!

"Super House, Super Facilities, Super location."
This property has been modernised by Dave the owner who we met on arrival, he has made a fantastic job of renovating the property which we stayed in for a week. We were a party of 8 adults (4 couples) and we literally wanted for nothing, Dave even provided us with two bottles of wine on arrival. The house was clean and tidy with fresh bed linen and towels. The kitchen was well equipped including Fridge, Freezer, Combi Oven, Oven and Dishwasher. The kitchen is also eqipped with an Arger, but unfortunatel this wasn't working when we stayed due to damage from previous occupants (it wasn't needed) The weather was miserable when we stayed, but we still found plenty to do including Velocity 2 the fastest Zip Wire in the world about an hours drive from the house. We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend it, we will be going back at some point.

"Dave is a fantastic host - very welcoming and there to help."
Nice bottle of red on our arrival. The house itself is in a fantastic location to explore - we went to a different beach each day! The good bits: plenty of space, amazing family room, warm (great central heating), great views, quiet location, well equipped kitchen and the hot tub was a great addition. The not so good bits: mattresses very very soft, damp and peeling paint in ground floor bedroom.
-
"What a gem, had everything you needed for a fun time for all the family."

"Absolutely beautiful cottage!"
We had the most lovely week away. The house was super clean, and very comfortable- so much space. The kitchen is really well stocked with everything you need. Dave is a great host, nothing too much trouble and he is there if you need anything. The games room was definitely a hit with everyone too! (We stayed as 2 families- so 4 adults and 6 children all 7 and under). We would definitely stay again if holidaying in this area. Thanks to Dave for a lovely week ☺️
-
"Absolutely great stay nice and quiet plenty for children to do the weather was great would definitely return to this property also Dave was very helpful."
-
"We were 2 families sharing the house for a summer break & we had a thoroughly enjoyable week at Bryn Ffynnon."
The house is in a lovely spot and has been maintained well. Kitchen/dining area was where we spent most time indoors, the fire pit and bbq were appreciated for use in the evenings. It is a great base to explore the Llyn Penisula and our teenagers loved the hot tub & games room. Dave was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and gave us a very warm welcome to start our holiday. I think as has been mentioned previously, an outdoor washing line for drying clothes and beach towels etc. is the only thing we felt was missing (there is a freestanding maiden but it wasn’t big enough for everything we had after a beach trip!) Thanks for a great stay, we would definitely return and recommend
Thanks for your feedback. We have now installed a rotary clothes drier in the garden for guests to use. Property Owner

"Enjoyable weeks holiday staying at a lovely alround cottage, The hot tub was a extra bonus, as was the games room,"
-
"Fantastic holiday cottage."
Owner Dave, was there to welcome us and give us lots of friendly advice. There is so much provided in the house. Best equipped kitchen I have ever stayed in and still loads of room for your food. Beautiful sunsets while sitting in the hot tub or on the comfy sofas in the living area. The games room is a great addition and there is also a bbq and a fire pit to toast marshmallows. Had a brilliant relaxing holiday. Definitely would recommend
-
"Lovely property Hot tub was not ready for us until the morning we were leaving."
Heating was a bit tricky in the house sometimes going off and feeling colder in some areas. Wish the weather was better but that’s wales for you. Host was great.
-
"Fantastic cottage!"
Really lovely place with great facilities, and super helpful owner.
-
"Property was spotlessly, very comfortable and accommodating."
The games room was a great additional touch and on a sunny day the view out to sea was stunning. The cottage had everything you would need to make the stay a faultless. Will definitely be returning
-
"Lovely place and house was amazing ."
We where disappointed where the games tables where as they where in a barn that was cold This was one reason for choosing it the house and we didn't get to go in there as it was so cold . The hot tub could do with a wind breaker. But we made the best of what we had and enjoyed our stay x
-
"An outstanding property, well equipped and perfectly set out to accommodate 8 people."
Views are fantastic and the outside space is excellent, would definitely recommend.
-
"Lovely spacious, clean and well equipped house."
Owner was very welcoming and went through everything we needed and was happy for us to contact him if we had any questions during our stay. Would definitely recommend we had a great time. Not to far from beach and town but remote enough that it was very quite. Overall a very welcoming and warm home for the week.
-
"Fantastic holiday accommodation in a lovely location, we really enjoyed our stay and the hot tub was a great facility even on wet days!"
The only thing we missed was a tumble dryer as it was difficult to get washing/towels dry but I would recommend this place for anyone wanting a holiday with peace and quiet and also easy access to a number of beaches and towns including Abersoch.
-
"We had a lovely stay, house and facilities are amazing."
Owner of property very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We will certainly book again to visit. Hot tub was a lovely addition too. We all enjoyed the games room as a family.
-
"Fabulous place for the money paid."
The open plan living was fantastic. Really enjoyed the hot tub. Well equipped overall and comfy. The games room was disappointing as it hadn't been cleaned and most things were broken. There is no dryer so next time we would take a washing line.
-
"Lovely house very well equipped for a family holiday."
Great outside areas and games room with 2 extra shower rooms .plenty of beaches and seaside towns in just short drive from the house.
-
"A wonderful house, very spacious with large kitchen, dining & lounge area."
Very comfortable, location great for visiting Aberdaron and other local areas. Beautiful views across to the sea. Dave is a great host, he was very helpful on our arrival. We spent a lovely few days here and would love to return some day! Highly recommended!
-
"The house has everything you need and more, we enjoyed using the hot tub and games room, watching some amazing sunsets from the huge open plan kitchen."
The area is great for beaches and walks, and the owner was really helpful with tips on where to go. This is by far one of the nicest holiday lets we have used and we will definitely be returning.
-
"We stayed here as a family for a week."
House was fabulous and had everything we needed provided. Would highly recommend this get away. We would definitely return. Thank you
-
"The house is beautifully presented and the views are really stunning."
It is not far from many beaches and it was nice to go back to the hot tub after exploring. The games room is added asset especially keeping the kids big and small entertained! The fire pit was relaxing of an evening toasting marshmallows and looking at the stars. The owner Dave is very friendly and knowledgeable about local area and nothing was too much trouble. We will certainly be back thanks for wonderful stay.
-
"Had a really lovely stay, Dave the owner is so helpful."
Even little things like matchsticks and batteries for wii remotes were available, which we weren’t expecting. Due to COVID hairdryers aren’t available so make sure to bring one if you use one
-
"We went as a group of 4 for a long weekend, beautiful cottage with amazing scenery around."
Dave was a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome. The hot tub was a dream after long days walking and the games room is a nice touch. For anyone looking to visit you do need to take your own basics - like tea/coffee, condiments, hair dryer. We had taken plenty so wasn’t an issue but would add an extra touch if some basics were provided. We weren’t ready to leave and will definitely be back again soon.
-
"Stunning property with stunning views in a beautiful location."
Felt warm and welcoming as soon as we entered. Very clean. Has everything needed. ..including thoughtful touches for the dog. Lots to do at the house and so many beautiful beaches and coves nearby to explore. Hot tub was perfect.
-
"This Cottage is perfect, everything you could possibly want and in a beautiful little spot in wales with lots of things to do nearby."
We had a fabulous few days at this cottage, made the most of the hot tub and games room and really only wish we had longer to enjoy it! There is a lovely walk to the beach, Dave was very welcoming upon arrival and gave us a run down, he's done such a good job on this house! Really recommend.

"Original cottage we booked in N Yorkshire became unavailable due to a leak and Sykes were very quick and helpful in finding a number of possible alternatives."
We chose Bryn Ffynnon in Wales. We found the area really enjoyable with excellent walks on the Welsh Coastal Path. There are some very good beaches close by such as Whistling Sands which has facilities and free parking if you are a NT member. Coastal towns vary but we enjoyed Porthmadog particularly and then Abersoch. Portmeirion of course worth a visit and there is some good walking in the wooded areas with views across to Porthmadog. Bryn Ffynnon was comfortable and very well equipped. The old part of the house has the bedrooms, bathrooms and snug and the extension is a fabulous and large kitchen, diner and family room with extensive views towards the sea though the hedgeline does impact a little. There is a good log burner in the snug. The central heating is controlled by Hive in the kitchen (it doesn't get a signal in the old house) and the kitchen is warmer than the rest of the house. We found it best to turn down the radiators in the kitchen and turn up the temperature on Hive to get the snug radiators to work well. Games room with pool, air hockey and darts provides fun and the hot tub relaxation. The hot tub lid is heavy and a bit awkward so be careful, an area for improvement. Also note you are expected to check the hot tub water yourself (not sure the test strips were in date and they only had three test tabs whereas the comparison chart on the tub showed four) and then add chemicals appropriately. You do need to read the instructions on the chemical tubs carefully. For anyone who finds stairs difficult the access from the drive to the house is flat and there is downstairs bedroom with ensuite. Wife says BEWARE no hair dryer.

Bryn Ffynnon enjoys a fantastic rural position on 'Snowdon's arm' but is still close to the Llyn Heritage Coast where you can find little ports, beaches, bays and sea cliffs to explore.
Head down to the fishing village of Aberdaron, once the last stop for pilgrims on the way to Bardsey Island, or 'Isle of 20,000 Saints' which is now a National Nature Reserve, this delightful village has a beautiful beach which is excellent for watersports, or take a boat trip out to Bardsey Island and catch sight of the amazing birdlife and seals, with dolphins sometimes seen here too!
Abersoch is another must-visit, this fashionable seaside resort is perfect for sailing and watersports and has a sheltered harbour and pretty beach, with a great selection of eateries and bistros here too.
Take a photo of the famous and very photogenic beach huts in Llanbedrog before taking a look around the art centre and gallery Oriel Plas Glyn-y-Weddw.
Beautiful walks can be had around the coast by following the Wales Coast Path to explore the 'Land's End of Wales' with the routes easily broken down into shorter segments between each village.
Llyn's 'capital' of Pwllheli with its exceptional marina and sailing waters, Nefyn with its Maritime Museum and the tranquil scenery of Porthdinllaen all present even more excellent days out.
Bryn Ffynnon will be the perfect setting for a family holiday to North Wales.
