• "We had such a lovely, relaxing week in this beautiful cottage in the heart of north wales."

  The cottage was very clean and well equipped. On arrival we had an amazing hamper waiting for us which was a fantastic treat for us all. The hot tub was amazing and so relaxing on a night gazing at the stars. Richard was easy to contact and very helpful, we will definitely be booking again next year. Thanks again for such a lovely stay.

  . Good quality furnishings and an owner (Richard) who is very chill but also very accommodating and considerate, let us have the run of the land aroundabout for walking and exploring, we loved it here and plan on returning as soon as we can, thanks Richard and family for a great stay

• "We spent a week at this wonderful house and are now thinking about when we can go back!"

  After spending many fabulous holidays in Sykes accommodation and lots of times in Wales, this has been the best we've stayed in (and it was up against some tough competition). The house is simply gorgeous. Very private and secluded but only a short distance from Ruthin which has plenty of shops, restaurants and bars etc so you get peace and quiet but are close enough to all you could need too. The owner couldn't have been nicer and the hamper on arrival was a wonderful welcome touch that far surpasses any we've ever had before. Having the horses for neighbours, a huge hot tub in a wonderful garden, just as well equipped outside as in, was amazing. Inside the rooms are very comfortable, tastefully decorated and well equipped, with a stunning kitchen which would be wonderful in any home. Only thing missing was a phone signal (which we knew about as it's in the listing) but in my opinion actually improves things. Good WiFi so not out of touch but no phone signal was a good excuse to have a bit of a holiday from the phone too. We loved this house, in case that's not already obvious lol, and would definitely recommend.

• "We had a wonderful stay at Richard’s property."

  The cottage was immaculately clean, the kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms were cosy and comfortable. We loved wandering around the gardens and seeing the horses every morning! After our days of activities, the cottage was a welcome respite. With Ruthin only a 10 minute drive away, there was easy access to shops, petrol and a great Fish & Chips place! We would definitely recommend Nant Y Celyn for families for the quiet environment, big outdoor spaces and clean accommodation. Thank you Richard!!

  It is so quiet there and we all had the best nights sleep. It was extremely clean, facilities excellent both inside and out. It felt very homely and there is lots of attention to detail. It has been well maintained as everything looked new. We wanted to take the kitchen and hot tub home with us!! Richard was very welcoming and was at the end of the phone if needed. The hamper was definitely a bonus too :) Would recommend to family and friends and would definitely like to return in the future. 10/10

• "What a perfect break!"

  Gorgeous farmhouse, very remote so if you want something more accessible this isn't for you. Very clean, comfortable and the outdoor space is lovely. Hot tub is exceptional! The other part of the garden is a little tired ( the fake grass ) and a fire pit on the side where the hot tub is would be a lovely extra. We will definitely book again. The owner couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. Thank you.

• "Richard was the most accommodating host!"

  A lovely welcome hamper to walk into on arrival, and then later on in the week let us have a go on his quad bike and JCB! A memory my son will cherish. The property itself was stunning and finished to a very high standard, everything was comfortable and clean, the kitchen and everything in it was spotless. We all had great sleep in the comfy beds and the linen and towels felt brand new. The surroundings outside were peaceful, you can literally hear a pin Drop It’s so quiet, it was fun listening to the owls and watching the bats at night. We will definitely be returning to Nant Y Celyn. Thank you.

• "Had an amazing long weekend at Nant Y Celyn thanks to the thoughtful touches in the cottage and really good weather."

  The cottage is in a quiet and very private area. We made full use of the garden, the garden chairs and loungers and the hot tub. It has everything you could possibly need. We stayed 4 days and cooked all our own meals in the fully equipped kitchen, and spent every evening in the conservatory or garden. We will be back next year.

• "Our family enjoyed a fantastic short break at this property."

  The location is remote and so peaceful - just what we were looking for and helped us all get some much needed relaxation. The house itself is amazing - extremely spacious and beautifully decorated. We really enjoyed the luxury hot tub which was a fantastic addition to the property. The owner, Richard, was really helpful in answering questions and we appreciated the lovely welcome hamper.   Location was great with many amenities not too far away. Peaceful among the countryside. Good location for running / walking with several nearby villages within reach. Ample parking with nice private garden with hot tub. Nice open fire with logs provided. Also, the hamper was beautiful and served us well on our weeks stay.

  We stayed for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year and loved every minute. The Christmas decorations were outstanding and the welcome hampers were a lovely addition on arrival. Would definitely return.

• "This was our second visit to this property and we were not disappointed."

  A fabulous location, and a property that surpasses expectations. Clean, spacious, lovely decor, and so much attention to detail to make this a great stay whether relaxing and using the fabulous hot tub, or using it as a base to explore the beautiful surroundings in North Wales. We also appreciated the welcome pack. Nothing has been overlooked by the owners. We will be back again .

• "Had a great long weekend with a group of friends in this lovely, well equipped house."

  The welcome basket was a lovely touch and much appreciated. The house worked perfectly for five couples with loads of space to all be together in the large lounge, or in smaller groups in other areas. We were lucky with the weather so had some lovely walks in the immediate area and further afield, just short drives away. The scenery and views were stunning, it’s a beautiful area. The weather also meant we were able to make full use of the hot tub, which was lovely for relaxing later in the day. Already some talk of booking again.

  The house was stunning and well furnished, even the kitchen had an amazing amount of equipment. The welcome hamper was not expected but thoroughly enjoyed. Such thoughtful owners. It was really nice to meet one owner who came to introduce himself and check everything was ok. We couldn't have asked for more. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

  We could not fault the cottage in any way, the owners had really thought through everything for a comfortable stay - From home to home Our family consisted of 10 members and we could not utlise the full potential of the cottage due to the shear size. A very spacious cottage with plenty of space, beautiful brick works and exposed beams. The character of the internal and external of the building was amazing. Would reccommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing time with lots of space.

• "We had a lovely time at this beautiful cottage set in beautiful surroundings with a small stream running past the properly."

  On arrival we found a nice hamper in the Kitchen with bottles of wine & other goodies. It is a very spacious properly both indoors & outdoors for everyone to relax comfortably. Every part of the outdoor space blends in so nicely, I.e green space with trees next to a large patio area with hot tub, plenty of seating for everyone, with adjoining BBQ area with separate seating. We were a party of 10, 6 adults 4 children under 9 The grandchildren loved the horses in the neighbouring field. Everytime the hot tub was used the horses turned up which was a lovely sight. The only downside was that there was only one twin bedroom. As we were with our four grandchildren, two of them weren't too happy to share a double bed. Maybe one of the bedrooms could accommodate a Zip/link bed instead of normal double bed. We enjoyed our stay at Nant Y Celyn. We would definitely consider booking it again to explore a bit more of North Wales. Narinder August 2023

• "This is a fantastic property."

  It was spotlessly clean with every kitchen utensil you could possibly need. Comfortable beds and great showers. Lots of space inside and outside the property with areas to all socialise together or cosy rooms to curl up with a book. In terms of location there were pubs/restaurants and lots of places to visit and activities within reasonable driving distances.

• "A fabulous house , there were 9 of us in our group , the house was very spacious, plenty of room for everyone."

  Bedrooms very comfortable. Loved the hot tub and to see the horses every day was lovely. We went to Conwy Castle during our stay which is amazing. We also hired bikes at Lynn Brening, a most enjoyable day. Cannot fault anything , a fabulous stay was had by all of us , thank you so much.

• "This is a fabulous house."

  We had a wonderful week. Couldn’t fault anything apart from the thunderstorms which took out the internet connection. Some of the party felt it was a shame that we couldn’t watch the TV together as only TV available was the one in the smallest lounge.

  Thanks for your lovely comments about the house. Really sorry that the storm took out internet and you had to wait for the new router. Obviously the satellite tv's were also taken out and again apologies for that. Hopefully, if you return, no storms, no lightning, loads of internet and loads of tv. • "Absolutely beautiful property with gorgeous surroundings very clean with plenty of rooms to relax in."

  Kitchen was perfect and the welcome pack was so nice with wines cheeses and other things. Plenty of WiFi throughout which is needed. Relaxing in the big hot tub with horses right next to you was a lovely touch. They have plenty of land to venture out into even had some little lambs while we was there. Highly recommend staying.

• "Fantastic stay!"

  We stayed as a group of (mature) friends over the New Year Right from the start the farmhouse owner Richard was most helpful. On arriving we were blown away with the house the quality was of a high standard and spotlessly clean It had everything you could think of and more! It was spacious, as a group it never felt crowded. The large lounge was great for all to gather with a huge sofa ,TV and wood burner The house had been decorated for Christmas which was a nice touch. There was a lovely welcome basket and information pack. We visited the local pub one evening, it’s about a 15/20 min walk. The food was nice and plentiful and the staff were friendly. There’s a little shop attached to the pub where they sell local produce ( bacon was fab). Both run by the community ! There are a few forest walks a short drive away! Which I would highly recommend doing! Ruthin has all the shops you need (4 miles from the house) Would we book again? Absolutely can’t wait! Thank you again Richard & family

  An idilic location surrounded by beautiful countryside. The property hit the wow factor. An ideal location for large group of family or friends. Spacious, tasteful, and all necessities provided for. To top it all a beautiful gift basket waiting for us on arrival. The garden and the hot tub added to the delight of the accommodation. • "We've just returned from a family weekend away and we were so impressed with this beautiful house!"

  It was so clean and cared for, beautifully presented with a lovely welcome box on arrival with all the need to knows and some treats to get the holiday started! It is sat within amazing grounds, the Horses in the field next to the gardens are extremely friendly and enjoyed an apple of two from the apple tree! Then you have the three sheep who are super cute bounding over to say hello! The owner came over to show us some good walking routes and even let my daughter feed the sheep a little treat, great touch!! The hot tub was nice and warm when we got there which was appreciated! There are two living rooms with fires, they warmed the whole house, it was so cosy! There are board games available in the big lounge, the kitchen comes with all the equipment and space you need and then some! Before we left we were already talking about coming back! A huge thank you for making our stay so comfortable, looking forward to coming back! If you haven't already get this place booked, you will not regret it!

  we have two boys with ASD and planning a holiday and keeping them regulated throughout is quite a mission, Richard the owner was absolutely fantastic in answering all our questions and going out of his way to accommodate our needs. We have been on many holidays but never with this level of support and understanding. we look forward to coming back next summer. The property was fantastic rustic and modern at the same time, clean well equipped, and comfortable. There is so much to do on-site that we hardly left the grounds!!!.

• "My family and I had the most wonderful week long stay in this beautiful cottage."

  Everything about the cottage and the location was simply perfect, we couldn’t have asked for more. The decor was absolutely gorgeous and the views from the cottage were amazing. We met the owner who was very friendly and let the grandchildren feed the sheep. The neighbouring horses kept us company throughout our stay, and the outdoor hot tub was simply the icing on the cake.
