"Amazing host who went above and beyond to help us and make our stay amazing, we have the best time !"
! Beautiful location , gorgeous period property and lovely and warm!!! As it states in the listing the track to the property is steep and bumpy so wouldn't suit a posh car but we embraced it and loved bumping along we visited loads of places and its a big paws up from willow

"We had a hard week because the weather was dreadful, but the cottage was superb, lovely and warm and comfortable and cosy."
There was a drawback for us we had been told it was an unmade road that we do not mind at all but the fact it was on very steep hill we did not like.we could not go walking anywhere as it was too steep and it was a nightmare to go out,1st gear all the way up the hill for a mile has not done my car a lot of good.we were very disappointed with that aspect it would have been nice to have been warned.!!!!

Thank you once again and we will hopefully return one day

"Lovely area very peaceful."
Hills all around. Very remote. Lovely owners really helpful. Short distance go most places. Lovely gardens and open space for dogs. Road quite bumpy on bits but well worth a stay. I will be rebooking.

"Although the cottage was clean and comfortable we had issues with the hot water and heating."
We also felt there was a lack of instructions in case of any issues-maybe a folder with such details would be useful so that you could deal with these things without having to contact the hosts. Cleaning the property before we left- we felt again lack of a dustpan and brush, also most holiday lets provide hairdryers and iron/ironing board both of which this property didn't have. As we were a family altogether we used the farmhouse a lot- this didn't have a vacuum cleaner,dustpan/brush or even a broom. Attention to these minor details would make for a much more comfortable stay.
Hello Mandy Thank you for your review, I am sorry to hear you were not happy with your stay. When you told us about the heating and hot water problem we came out immediately to resolve the issue. Our system is ground source heating and quite complex, this is the reason that we do not leave information for visitors, I was quite concerned when we noticed that the water tank cupboard door had been unscrewed by yourselves. As for hairdryers, irons etc we do not state on Sykes that these items are available. You mentioned the hoover in the farmhouse, a member of your group was informed that the hoover had broken that day but we suggested that you are welcome to take one from one of the other cottages you had also booked. Hope this answers the issues you have mentioned. Thanks Pauline Property Owner

"The lady on the phone who helped me find the cottage for the last few hundred yards,(as it turned out I was in the right place I just hadn't gone far enough so turned round too soon ) was very friendly and helpful, although it was getting quite late."
I was made to feel really welcome.

"We where lucky with the weather, but had it turned bad the cottage was well equipped and very comfortable."

"We had a lovely, get-away-from-it-all break."
The farm is remote, in beautiful countryside, and the cottage was comfy and relaxed. We were a bit surprised by how basic the farm track was, leading to the cottage!

cottage was comfortable

"A lovely warm welcome with complimentary muffins awaiting our arrival."
It was lovely and clean with a small enclosed garden for our dog. We had two days of snow which worried us slightly as you are at the bottom of a very steep track, but we had no problem. The boys complained they were too warm in their room and the wifi was unexpected. The dog loved his walks in the two fields and up and down the lane. Beautiful, quiet, relaxing location.
