  • "Last min booking due to a great weather forecast."

A very clean cottage apart from the kitchen table that had rice grains and sticky food deposits and a few ring marks in the fridge. Could do with an extractor fan over the cooker. The front bedroom bed was uncomfortable due to the springs noticabley digging in. We put both quilts over the matrass after the first night. This solved the problem. We felt a bit exposed in the kitchen with the two windows and full glass door. The neighbours who were very pleasant, passed frequently making the kitchen area too public for us. A stairgate would be useful to keep dogs from getting upstairs as they are open to the sitting room. We slid the sofa across the opening, but that isn't ideal. Otherwise, a cottage with some charming character features. We had super weather and found the location good for exploring. No problem parking on the road. The community pub and shop next-door were very handy. We found the cottage good value for the price.

  • "The cottage was situated in an ideal central location to enable you to explore a large part of what Gwynedd had to offer and it was surprisingly large."

The cottage was advertised as dog friendly but the signs and literature in the property didn’t make you feel that it was. There was an issue with a leak prior to our arrival that the owner texted us about but overall we had a pleasant stay.

  • "A very cosy cottage in a great location."

Very comfortable beds, a well-stocked kitchen, and a very cosy living room. This is an old stone cottage and is full of character. Llanystumdwy is a great location for exploring the local area and the Eryri National Park. It's an easy 30/40 min walk into Criccieth or a 5 min bus ride. There is loads to do in the area, even on wet and windy days. Not least the local pub opposite with friendly staff and great local beers. Make sure to check out their well-stocked little "siop", and ask about Big Dog Pizza nights. The pizzas were amazing. Should point out though, if all you are looking for in a holiday cottage is a massive TV, high-speed broadband, and huge sofas then this is NOT for you. However, if you're looking for a traditional, warm, and cosy Welsh cottage (right next to a pub!) in a quaint Welsh village, desire a slightly "off-grid" experience, and wish to explore some of the UK's most incredible walks and breathtaking scenery, then this is unquestionably for you!! We loved it and have already booked for next year!!

  • "I new that this was an old property and anticipated the bathroom being small however it was adequate."

Bedrooms were nice and beds comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. Living room being the main room you wish to relax in could do with better sofas and in this day and age a larger TV to make it more comfortable and cosy - the TV just looked like a pea on a drum. There was confusion regarding the key safe as there are 2. It would be advisable to make this known on the instructions. There is a musty smell to the downstairs which is probably due to the age of the property and the owner uses plug in air fresheners. Came away a day early as the weather was bad and felt the living room wasn't sufficiently cosy to spend the day indoors. Wi-fi is just about zero and no signal for phones.

  • "Lovely cottage, The kitchen was the best equipped I've used for a while."

Nice patio area outside. However due to my back problems, the lack of a Bannister on the top third of the staircase isn't good & probably doesn't meet H&S ..The Wi Fi is sporadic unfortunately. Also sadly the leather sofas have oily marks from previous users heads , & the cushions are flat ..

Thank you for your feedback. We have now fitted a short bannister on the last 3 steps of the stairs. We have contacted Talk Talk and a faster wi-fi will be installed on Sept 25th Property Owner
